I’m not praising Frame Generation and I hate CPU-limited games with no settings to adjust or scale CPU performance. But right now, there’s no other way to maintain high performance. Even with Low settings, upscaling, and a good CPU, you’ll still drop below 60 fps in populated areas. Let’s hope GSC Game World addresses the CPU performance issue soon. *In the Optimized Settings section, Clouds should be at Epic instead of Medium.
They’ve already detailed what is coming in the game’s first patch and NOWHERE did they mention anything about improving the god awful performance let alone the cpu issues in settlements. Not surprising they show no interest in optimizing the game when everyone who rightfully criticizes the game’s performance gets lambasted by the shills.
PCGH from germany tested cpu's. Even my 7800x3d get without tuning 29 P0.2-fps, 35 P1-fps, and 78,4 average fps. Even the 9800x3d is at 35, 44, 98,2 fps. And i have a rule to buy games. If my hardware cant reach 60 low fps (atleast the P1-fps), i am not buying it. Also the A-Life 2.0 is missing. Dataminers found only 3 to 4 lines of code hinting a failed attempt. All the other stuff is named A-Life in the data is a simple dice roll spawn system. To say that i am disappointed is a understatement.
The game is unplayable for me sadly, but when a performance update comes, hopefully you’ll make an updated video. This is a big when though lmfao because i don’t think were getting an update anytime soon😭
The metro music was a nice touch. I did my best to dial in my settings but I didn’t have the patience to find the locations or scenarios to test them all so this guide helped a lot, nice video.
You're always a lifesaver in pointing out what settings actually impact performance and which ones are safe to turn up. Besides GSC patching the game, there are also several mods out by now on Nexus that additionally tweak the engine or lower some effects you can't change in the menu that also give a big help to performance, and they've helped me get a smoother game

@@benchmarking4386 I think they can't. Every UE5 game runs the same. And this time with this game you need 32gb of ram 12gb of vram. Otherwise it tanks your performance even more.

Nice. This is the best settings comparison video I found so far. Bonus tip for the people: Limiting your FPS with RTSS will MASSIVELY fix your frametimes and reduce stuttering.
This right here. This applies to ANY GAME, not just Stalker 2. Most in game fps limiters will still have frame rate instability, even if you don’t notice it. RTSS almost entirely removes that, only time it doesn’t is if your pc just genuinely can’t handle the game or if it’s poorly optimized.

Your video card is a beast! I owned a 1070 and was a game saver for years, but still i regretted for years not buying a 1080 ti instead of the 1070 back in the day!
@ 100 percent true, doom eternal looks amazing and can be played at 200+ fps on ultra settings on mid tier gpus from 2017-2018, doesn’t need upscaling or frame generation, then again it’s a in house engine, so that won’t happen lol, most in house engines are far better optimized than UE
@@kiranmurali910 I’m not a game developer so I don’t know how much harder it is to have an open world that is constantly streaming in and out assets, and even in doom eternal there are pretty big areas that also constantly stream in and out assets, to be more clear my point is UE is just extremely heavy with no scaling for preformace unless u want to tweak in the engine ini files and make the game look terrible. But there are much better preforming engines that are used for open world games, like RED engine, Witcher 3 and cyberpunk look great and u get better performance using hardware raytracing in those games instead of lumen in stalker 2 on a gpu like the 4080. Not to mention those games have far superior performance scaling.
Just a small comment on the sentence "This is why using Frame Generation is crucial to consistently maintain high and stable performance." You're not maintaining a high performance, you're maintaining the fluidity and overall smoothness of the image. Responsiveness should drop when in those high demanding areas, even though the fluidity is high.
@@draco2xx 5800x, 4x16gb 3200Mz, 3070ti 8gb. When I was testing the performance on the presets I figured out that I was reaching near 8gb of vram at 1080 Epic DLSS Quality when I was in the the towns. I tried frame generation but it was so hard to hit shots on the dogs from the delay.
@grandam. your rig is good enough seems like the spec sheet is a lie, you need 16gb of vram for 1080p native but hopefully it gets better optimization soon

I'll be trying these tonight to see if I can get the game playable, my 6gb 3060/32gb/5800h laptop really doesn't like it. Like get like 30-50 FPS for about an hour and then drops to single digits.

Thanks, man. I have a 6750XT. The frame generator is decent on 1440p. So I set everything to epic and set the limit to 30 fps (with the frame generator it stays at 60). I didn't notice any delay in gameplay. Sometimes the foliage gets a little distorted, but it's rare to happen (or notice) But I will apply your settings and test how it will run without FG
@@chebrets Because Frame GEnerator will double the fps. So as I prefer to play at 60 fps, I lock it at 30 fps so the frame generator works at 60 frames
@@BALLUTA1 Don't limit it, 60 fps frame generation doesn't feel like actual 60 fps, just take the limit off and even 80 fps frame gen will feel better than 60 fps
Honestly, I do this only when the game is too demanding, like Alan Wake 2 or A quiet place. But it's not suited for FPS games. You should cap it at least at 45 FPS then enable Frame gen.

Best channel on youtube for optimized settings in games. After following this video the graphics are the same as max but i have nearly 60 fps except in large bases or huge battles. If Bernchmark King has a video I will always use his settings, been doing that for aa while and never disappoints.

The maddest of props to you, my guy! 🙏🏼 This has completely changed my experience! Immediately subscribed! Sure, there's still a little bit of input latency and the framerate still drops like crazy in towns and certain buildings but that's a smaller problem now (though still significant).

The input lag with FG on is unbearable and i'm above 50 fps with nvidia reflex i'm at 90-100 fps with FG on but it feels like i'm at 20 fps...

The maddest of props to you, my guy! 🙏🏼 This has completely changed my experience! Immediately subscribed! Sure, there's still a little bit of input latency and the framerate still drops like crazy in towns and certain buildings but that's a smaller problem now (though still significant).
