    If I had a trillion dollars and could do anything anywhere on earth, I would attend this lecture. When saturday night comes around and I consider all the things I could do, the only thing that sounds exciting is studying with the swamis and practicing the meditations.

    This practice has transformed my life. I was a hardcore drug user for 20 years, after a spiritual experience I stopped using but still felt awful for months. I stumbled upon Tantra which led me to this. When I awakened Kundalini, I felt this surge of energy and bliss that I didn’t think would last, yet every time I practice this practice, I feel this electric bliss creep up my spine and I actually see the Shakti when I meditate. It’s as if light and sound becomes one and my body is inseparable from the space around me. This is powerful stuff, no drug comes close.

      @@queroxuwu no, kundalini awakening is not enlightenment. In fact this Tantra says so… “The various means of raising the Kundalini are just tools to lead the seeker towards the realization of their own essence. Advaita Vedanta and Kashmir Shaivism are similar...I like the simplicity of Advaita but also the radicalism of Shiva, and since I have no physical guru, I have always considered Shiva to be my guru, because Shiva said he would accept anyone who asked him, and so I asked him. I will note that the powers emerging from Shiva in this order are:Svatantrya(complete freedom), Ananda Shakti, Icca Shakti(will), Jnana Shakti(knowledge), Kriya Shakti(action in the manifest world)
    And they are the same, the energy is the same unit, it just transformed from freedom to a ripple in the Bliss that became will then knowledge then action. Abhinavagupta teaches that action is verily knowledge.

    *Abhinavagupta’s description of Kashmir:*
    Where people normally are poetic and wise,
    Where even warriors are articulate,
    Women of cities are lustrous as the moon
    And charming in their gait,
    Where accomplished female practitioners of yoga are
    Bright as the spark of fire
    Particularly due to the complete opening
    of the path of the shushumna nerve in them
    they are also lustrous as the sky
    in the state of the lunar eclipse
    Where the wine known as madrika
    Brings maturity in the talk of love of lovers
    In which part of the world people get engaged
    Confidently and unobstructed in the fare of love
    Where the Gods take interest
    in remaining engaged in the delight of the chakras
    and where departs the joy of life
    and blessedness of liberation
    where contemplative practiotioners of yoga,
    munis dwell at various spots
    And where does Shiva dwell himself all the time.
    I therefore consider Kashmir
    As the proper place of yogic accomplishments Siddhi
    there is no place on the whole of this earth
    Which may compare with Kashmir in this respect
    Nor in the respect of contentment
    or fulfilment of all aspirations.

    Great topic, very interesting lecture! Shaivism and Shiva are such a big part of Indian spirituality, I agree with other comments that it'd be great to do more lectures on this topic. It does bother me thou that life on Earth is depicted here so negatively and compared to a jail. It's a jail only if you make it so. Nature and even life itself are actually stunningly beautiful, part and parcel of Shiva. Thank you

    • @hseeker
      @hseeker 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes it may sound negative but its really not. A jail is fit for he who committed the crime, life is so if you look at the world there is undeniable suffering and misery we are constantly seeking relief we just dont know where to look some do and we call them swamis, yogis etc. And they in turn tell us where to look those who wish to see shiva he is the sources and end of all its not that we aren't in a jail. Its that we've come to see jail as a sort of punishment rather than a chance at something. ❤️

      Once one starts to practice meditation and start to feel lighter and lighter, the only thing they feel bounded by is the body. You don’t feel like coming out of the bliss yet you are forced to. I am saying this based on my personal little experience where these fears and anxieties which are nothing but body’s chemical reaction makes us feel miserable and pull us down. So yes it’s a jail

      Nirgun nirakar are two names of Lord Shiva mentioned in every Sahasranama about him that is written till now the context here is the dancer is the Nirgun nirakar and the dance is Shagun Sakar but a dancer cannot exist without a dance and dance doesn't exist without a dancer a dancer can choose either to dance or not that is the only question that undermines so Lord Shiva on what we call shift at 1 has nothing to do with their Shagun Shakur in its absolute or Nirgun nirakar in its absolute because as long as the cosmosis the Nirgun is playing with the Sagun self and at the end even that will stop

    Namaste and pranam Swamiji. This is a rare opportunity to have a glimpse of the Kashmiri Shaivism. Isn't their shaaktha upaya, where a Guru can enlighten a person without going through the prakriya of S, M and Nidhidhyasanam is against the grain of vedanta 🤔! Since the problem is avidya, ignorance of the SELF; like light alone can remove darkness, isn't the solution ONLY - JNANAM🤔.

    Experience is the connection between subject and object.
    1. Put the Ultimate Reality on the object side and you get dualistic devotion.
    2. Put the Ultimate Reality on the subject side and you get Sankhya or Yoga Samadhi.
    3. Put the Ultimate Reality on the relation between subject and object, on the experience between the two and empty the subject and object and you become free of their bondage, that's Buddhist way.
    4. Put the Ultimate Reality as the substratum of the the subject, object and the relation between them and you get Advaita or Kashmiri Shavism.

    All great knowledge, books and books and more books, knowledge is part of it all, but alone, without art, it is a hell of an enlightment path.
    Where is the music, the chanting, the dancing, where is the art, the love making, where is the most important part of the "living it" in order to transcend it all through enjoying the ecstasy of seing it, listening to it, preserving it, being it?
    Why is the artistic part always occulted, when in the tantric transmition it has always been the largest part. The pathless path, the direct one, is taught through art, the meditation is in the art, the love is in art, the beauty is in art, the observation of divine art in nature, in the growing process and slow rithm of vegetables fruits and life in all it's aspects. How can you really fall in love, be love if your path is mainly in reading books?
    The monastic world has that habit of been gready of even, and of making you feel that they are the only ones who have the keys, because they
    studied undreds of books, it is an heavy and manipulating lie.
    The most enlighten peoples, are the natural respectful creative ones.

    • @JonasAnandaKristiansson
      @JonasAnandaKristiansson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. And this sounds very Kashmir Shaivism! :)
      And, also, Vedanta, "the books" and the wisdom, knowledge of the pure, clear, uncluttered mind,
      knowing the true nature, Shiva.. Brahman.. The source and essence of Tao itself.
      "I" find 'myself' as both the tantric and the vedantic, "both". They, this, I.. am One. All is God
      Om Namah Shivaya, Love, Jonas

    There is a difference , between "Soham" and "Hams". Hamsa is "Aham Idam".. more closer to the Self. Soham is "Idam Aham". Very little and subtle difference, but in Kashmir Shaivism, it is a difference of one tatva, or stage.
    Up from Ishwar to Sadashiv. 🙏🙏

    • @jyotiraina2887
      @jyotiraina2887 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you pls clarify - which is the higher tatwa? Hamsa or Soham and how ? 🙏🙏

    • @yogendratiku6339
      @yogendratiku6339 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jyotiraina2887 "Hamsa" as I understand, is a tad higher. Here I -Aham, is accepted first. Though, in the subtle sense , there is no difference, since, SHIV alone is existing in all the Tattvas. Ultimately, the Sadhak grows beyond Mantras.
      It is only from the Kashmir Shaivism, point of view, I said so.
      Move on any path, and that will lead you to SHIV alone. 🙏
