    I once asked Swamiji in a Facebook Live event that " Apart from illumination can consciousness influence the Five sheets of the body ? " Swamiji explained how consciousness experiences consciousness.. we experience ourselves as consciousness which is witnessing the entire universe is also the existence of the universe.. Following his videos on Manisha Panchakam.. Aparoksha Anubhati Mandukya Karika and Astavakra Gita cleared my doubt 99% but this last 3 videos of Lamp of Bliss.. Tenth Man and Direct Knowledge made it 100%..
    Swamiji is incredible.. A gift to humanity..

      Too often the approach of nonduality teaching is restricted to gaining self-realization, minimizing the suffering of the world as being "just" the result of illusion and ignorance of the true self. But I believe that any valid path to self-realization must develop a strong sense of ethics, including the desire to end suffering, even if we know it is in a real sense unnecessary, temporary, or rooted in illusion. I do believe that a better world is possible in this dream universe, even if no one ever woke up to full self-realization, simply by helping where and when we can. Yes, a utopia is not likely to happen anytime soon on the global level without transformation of the individuals, but any improvement in the current deplorable state of the world will help and is worth doing, to whatever extent we are able.

      In my opinion, the impact of Covid on India has been due to failure of the government to educate the population about the need to wear a mask, to be apart from other bodies, to wash hands, and other precautions. A danger has been caused by the tendency to meet together in large groups for religious or sports reasons, and to bathe in the Ganga without taking precautions. Just my opinion!

    • @david203
      @david203 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This cannot be done with the mind, because our attachment to the mind keeps us in delusion. So motivation through thoughts, no matter how holy or great, is useless. Find a teacher who can point directly to pure consciousness, your true Self, and follow those pointings BEYOND the mind every day. This actual experience of Self will improve your life and prepare you for spontaneous self-realization.

    One day I realized something and that was very momentary...
    It was when I was teaching one of my student about refraction and why the bottom of tank appears less deep than it is actually when filled with water.
    It's because rays which entering our eyes actually bend at the water -air interface. But our eye knows only that "rays travel in the straight line"
    And suddenly it came in my mind "then who knows about bending".. I don't know but at least I got to know that we should not recognize ourself with our sensory organs... Yet we remain victim to our senses only

      "Who knows about bending" of course points to the intellect, which is part of the mind. The mind has learned about refraction from books, classes, experiments, and problem-solving. So we have the sequence: perception through the sense of vision, interpretation of a shallow bottom by the visual processing system, then a formless (intuitive or thought-based) self-correction through the intellect. This is a beautiful analogy with how we suffer through limitations of the mind and our attachment to those limitations, and how that suffering can be corrected or ended by the infusion of the brightness and spaciousness of our true Self, formless, unbounded, and timeless pure consciousness.

    It's good to see that without enlightenment you are soo close to the explanation of all the knowledge.

      Yes, all the knowledge can be known by the mind even before experience brings self-realization. In fact, such knowledge provides a preparation for spontaneous self-realization to occur.
