being titled "The Essence of All Vedanta," and "The Ultimate Truth", respectively),
Swami Sarvapriyananda explains the concept of ""No Mind"" (amanibhava), which is
based on the 3rd chapter of the Mandukya Karika, as it relates to the concepts of
    Advaita (nonduality), and Moksha (liberation).

    ABOUT VEDANTA
Vedanta is one of the world’s most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest. Based on the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India, Vedanta affirms the oneness of existence, the divinity of the soul, and the harmony of religions.
    ABOUT US
Vedanta Society of New York is affiliated with the Ramakrishna Order of India. In fact, this is the Order's first Center started by Swami Vivekananda, in 1894. It was a historic event, for the seed of the world-wide Ramakrishna Movement was sown here in New York over a century ago. Swami Sarvapriyananda is the present Resident Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York.

I've only discovered videos of this guy - never heard of him before. I can honestly say he is very good at explaining things because he is genuine and he is talking from his own true experience. What people need to do is shut down the constant chatter in the brain - that's when you experience non-duality. The problem is you can't describe the experience in words. When you shutdown the brain chatter (by meditating) you are shutting down the left hemisphere of your brain. The left hemisphere of the brain is where language is produced so when you do this you experience an amazing state of bliss that you can't describe afterwards. You try to describe it but no words can legitimately describe it. This is why people struggle to describe what happens and why there are so many descriptions that are inadequate. "No mind" is when you have shut down the left hemisphere of your brain.

This single video is sufficient for enlightenment. No other vedio needs. Watch this video again and again and understand with Vivek. I give you guarantee that you would enlightened. Though you are enlightened already but you are not recognising the truth. This single video is essence of teaching of Gaudapada who was the grand guru of Shankaracharya but Swami Sarvapriyanand is entirely entitled for gratitude and thanks because he very beautifully and in nice way presented his expression on non-duality that is ultimate truth and you are that but you are not body mind . You are pure awareness. Very very thanks Swamiji. Your body may live long so you continue trying to awakene people at large. Thanks to all who have watched this video.

There is another path to no mind as a bhaktha. I wish to share it.. Bhaktha sees the world as krishna, consciousness also as krishna.. In a very profound way experiences the mighty inside and outside by being in the middle as intelligence.. is soooo overwhelmed by the unconditional love(a transcendal attraction to krishna) does a self sacrifice of the Ego/Intellect and by doing so blissfully and enters the state of Krishna... I call it krishnarpanam.. the surrender is soooo undescribable in words... after that sacrifice I don't exist only Krishna exists, before that sacrifice also I'm aware that krishna only exists.. the very act of sacrifice is also krishna.. my mind only knows one thing... krishna. My krishna has so many forms.. yours, mine and everyone's.... my krishna is everyone and everything.. all I know is only krishna and his love(Ananda). Everyone, everything is essentially the same. Even these paths are essentially the same.. Thanks for the very logical and enlightening talk swami, krishnarpanam 🙏🙏🙏

Hi Swamiji, excellent lecture as always. I'd like to share some things that might help whoever is interested in feeling a thoughtless state, naturally (i.e. meditation). There are 3 steps in the process of how the mind works.
    1. Perception
    2. Sensation
    3. Abstraction
Let's take an example. Assume you are sitting in front of the computer and are reading a line. The first step is perception. Physically, the light falling on the letters on the monitor is now passing as reflected light into the eyes and into the optic system. This is the first step, perception, that there is something. Step 2 is the optic nerves now convert light into electric impulses and transmit it to the brain. This is sensation, i.e., physical light is transformed into electrical impulses and sensed by the brain as impulses. Step 3 is abstraction. What has just been seen, is now immediately projected as an image as a thought. The sensation just got converted to an abstraction. This third step is the problem with everyone, because all the while step 2 is occurring but step 3 is always creating an imagination of what is and we're caught in this step thinking that's reality. If we are simply able to see this shift from step 2 to step 3, that is, how every moment reality is being translated to an abstraction, this is meditation because now you are seeing how the mind works, and it won't take you for a ride. There's a silence with no effort. If one can see this process like a watchman watching the house, and continue to notice how the mind keeps doing the abstraction of the "now", the brain automatically becomes quiet and as a result fear, anxiety etc which are a result of not noticing the step 3, i.e., abstraction, begin to dissolve automatically. I believe this is true meditation and the beginning of permanent psychological freedom.

we are born with a mind and its because of the mind we grown up understanding the life & world around us and when we have accumulated all the garbage ( forgive for using this word) in our mind, we want to wipe it out though meditation or by any other way to become a person with no-mind from the mindful person!
Isn’t it better that we grow up with uploading right kind of experiences so that we live a peaceful life and not struggle to achieve no mind, which in any case is extremely difficult🙏

Passion to understand no-mind with mind behind the reply - experience is experience as in mind ....nothUng is garbage unless remembering the truth or forgetting the truth ...it us the same mind... If all these words are garbage then everything is garbage while if everything is lovable it us in the same mind...
      Quoting thakur ...
      Taka mati = Mati taka(Bengali)
(Translated in English - Wealth - Earth = Earth -wealth)
As you perceive it is ..
So Tatyamasi (You are the world!)
Yes ...dear blessed ...you are right one area ...
Searching gir mindful is near to no-mind (Knowledge-path) Gyan Yoga.
      (Toughest among yoga)
      among other paths
      BhaktiYoga(Theism)

Yeah true. Analyse dream state along with the state of deep sleep and the process that runs during waking up. Read the instructions of Sri Ramana Maharshi.

Take care that you don't become engrossed in the dream-world, or you may just add to your worries and troubles. The drama of life continues to keep us from being bored. It is also what causes suffering. Or, shall we say, the attachment to the idea of ourselves as a separate being living in a world of time and space, causes suffering.
Transcend thought. You are not your thoughts. You are the witness of them. You are not your body. You are the witness of it. Fall back a bit and see that everything is contained within your consciousness. Who you really are is infinitely large. Consciousness changes (we go to sleep and dream) and this dream-world is still contained within consciousness. Consciousness changes (we fall into deep sleep) and there is no time, there is no world, there is no self, because there are no thoughts or objects.
What sees all three states, waking, dreaming and deep sleep, is called Turiya. This is pure consciousness. And that is what YOU are.
As swami says, "within who you really are, appears the waker and the waking world. Within who you really are, appears the dreamer and the dream. Within who you really are, appears the absence of the world, time, space, self.
You do not exist, you are existence. You are not conscious, your are consciousness. You are not happy. You are bliss/peace. You are Atman. Atman IS Brahman.
