Except for Milan actually... 🤔 I say that because I have been to Milan in the past and it is nothing more than a cement city. 🏙️ I visited the Duomo and the Armani Casa (=house) but other than that I didn't enjoy decent and tasty food. The pizza 🍕 here in Greece is far more tasty than the Italian one.
There is no beautiful region in Italy... because each region with its beauty makes you forget the other... Venice makes you forget....Florence... and Florence makes you forget the beauty of Bologna, and so on......
Does anyone know how Verona compares to Florence? I went to Florence a few weeks back and it was incredible. I actually like the crowds as I'm from New York, and there were so many little blocks with restaurants and cafes all over the place. Is Verona much smaller? I've noticed people just show the main square and this Juliet statue, and a bunch of luxury stores. Is that all Verona has? It doesn't seem like much. Curious if anyone can compare Florence and Verona. I'd love to go and check it out. Is there more to the city than this main square area?
Oh wow have an incredible time! What are you studying there? Weather wise, pack layers as it can get colder in the winter but also bring an umbrella or foldable raincoat for the times it rains during the autumn and winter. Pack comfortable shoes as those cobbled streets can be hard on your feet and most importantly, have an awesome time!! There will be plenty of people at your uni who will know the best bars and restaurants in your local area to go to so getting chatting and meeting people to help you settle in
hard one...August is HOT and packed with tourists......Dec is winter, quieter, cheaper, but cold...best months are in between (eg. Mar-June; Sept Nov) 🙂
depends on which country you are visiting. expect lots of tourists in august. in some cities could be very hot and some hotels dont have aircondition. in december can be rainy in the some parts of europe and lots of snow in the north. expect train delays etc. weather can be also gloomy for days. for me spring and autumn will be the best time.
