Great marketing at 5:00 from the small jewelry company to say that Romeo bought Juliet something from there. If I owned a gelato shop in Verona, I would say that Romeo used to always come in and buy ice cream for Juliet (usually on Friday's he would come). 🤣🤣
One hidden amazing thing is that under the courtyard "corte sgarzerie" that you showed at minute 3:47 there is an archeological site you can visit for free with the roman ruins of what was a huge temple. Highly suggest you visit there even though it's open only on some days
My wife and I lived and went to school in Verona 1959-1962. We were in middle school and HS at the time. What a truly wonderful experience it was to come of age in Italy living amongst Italians and not on an American Army Base. There was always something to do and the best part was that we were required to take Italian language in school. Another favorite was going to Lago de Garda in the Summer - so much fun. Finally, traveling about at a time when there were not huge crowds and the food. Omg, so many fine restorante. I still have a local map of all the restaurants in the area. Ciao Bella❤️, love your podcasts Mia Cara Signorina😃.
Hello Valeria, thank you very much for this video. A long time ago I took a day trip from Venice to Verona. It is a very beautiful city. There I looked at Juliet's house, the amphitheater and some old churches. In a month I will go to Verona for 9 days. I also plan to visit Mantua and Sirmione on Lake Garda. Then I go to Bologna for 8 days. There I will also visit Ferrara, Modena and Nonantola. Kind regards, Stefan from Germany. 🌄🏰🥧
We've been to Verona before so have seen all the "usual" sites. We go again on Wednesday for the Verona Opera Festival. Thanks for these out-of-the-way recommendations.
Great information, I enjoyed the vlog. Just some feedback though, as the subtitles do not work properly, they are out of sync, no punctuation and many, many incorrect or misinterpreted/ misspelt words. But keep up the great content.
L❤VE your videos Valeria, they are informative, passionate, fun ☺️ Wanted to ask you.. What do you think.. Which Italian city has the best transportation connection? In which city would you advise to stay, if one has a short time, and wants to visit as many cities as possible in Italy?
Shame you didn’t highlight how dangerous the train station is for tourists? My wife, daughter and I recently visited Verona, and enjoyed a wonderful visit until we departed, and were surrounded by a group of thugs who wanted our luggage and bags and were threatening violence on all of us until a train guard appeared and they disbanded! Our daughter was in tears and we were dry frightened. Stay off the platform (Milan-Venice) until you need to board, as there are gangs of crimes videoing and messaging as you pass and as in most Italian train stations no police or security anywhere. Shocking and we were seconds from losing everything and who knows what else. Europe is very dangerous these days and is overrun with illegal visitors
Awesome video. An authentic look on Verona city.
It is an ancient Wool Exchange /Market. Beautiful. I love your videos!! Thank you!

Thank you! I'd say Bologna is pretty good for this purpose :)
Valeria, thank you for the info. Do you have any recommendations for hotel or Airbnb to stay near the central city? Thanks
There's a great bar across from the jewelerry shop called 'Il Bugiardo' 'the liar' and a great church almost next door which is worth a view.
Thanks a lot for sharing, will check it out next time!
I wondering If she helps people relocate to Italy. If I was to pay her a amount to help me through the process if she would.
See if you get a response. If not I paid a lady to help me through the process that I can give you her name

About 30 people were arrested in July for crimes at the train station, all of them from North Africa
