  • Have you ever been to a funeral for a child? It's horrible, and as a society, we don't usually talk about it. How do we help those who have experienced it to heal? This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

My son lived 18 years, yet my sister gave birth to her son and daughter both dead. I just don't have words for what we both went through!

Made me reflect on the 3 babies I never got to meet. They still mean something special and personal to me. I know they existed and where born into heaven. Namaste.

I’m walking through this now. I lost my daughter 10 days ago to a cord prolapse in labor. The grief is devastating.

Adilee, I am so sorry for the pain you must bear now. I understand that pain and grief. My son was murdered five years ago and I still feel that grief every day, but I have also found some peace. Our situations are different, but yet still the same. We both lost something so precious it can never be replaced. I send you my peace and love in hopes that it will help you on your own grief journey.

People aren’t talking about it because Americans don’t want to. They have no idea of what to do with grief.
