We had a westie for 16 years. Last year september he passed away. He was the sweetest and bravest dog you can ever Imagine. He wasn't afraid of anything what a character. He was and will be my soulmate forever. Rip Mickey our most beloved dog. Since a few weeks imam finally sofar that i want another ,though we still miss him every day and have still a lot of grief. Looking at this vid my heart melts for seeiing such cute westies. Westies are the most speciial dogs on earth and a gift from God.

Amen Brother, Everything you have said about a Westie is true. They are so loyal, they have a high recognition rate that I am amazed with. My dog spotted my mom, who only visits a couple times a year due to our distance apart. We met at the Highland games and my dog went crazy barking and pulling at the leash; she spotted my mom in a group of people at a booth and pulled me over to see her. She has only seen my mom a couple times a year, but she still recognized her in a croud. Also like you have put, They are bold and will run out and try and see a coyote in the fields. not knowing the danger they are in. Or like what my dog has done, run straight up to an aggressive Pitbull, to sniff another dog, only this one was very aggressive and not friendly to any dogs no matter how small or big. This vid is great because it has so much real truth behind the psych of a westie that a first time owner should learn. They are my favorite breed, but like me, you will find your dogs personality and adapt a regimen to suit you and your pup, respectfully, a westie's servant. Mark

Aw, what's his name? I love Westies. My Rocco is 2yrs old. I wish he could live forever. A dog will bring you joy but Westies are much more than just a dog. They are almost human.

I miss my Westie I grew up with... she was 16 yrs old when we had to put her down out of her misery from brain issues causing her to be paralyzed... I'm going to a breeder next weekend with my girlfriend, hope I can handle it... damn these videos make me emotional AF... ;-; such a beautiful dog breed

I just put my almost 16 yo Westin down last month. I am broken hearted, I feel like there will never be another one like her again; although I had a little boy that Died a few years ago, and he goes down in the family as “The greatest dog ever”.

My westie is two years old so he has a lot of time left did you know the average life expectancy of a westie is 12 to 16 so that makes them the longest living dogs

My dog is in my house because the owners treated him like he was a doll they abused him because they would leave outside for hours so me and my mom are taking good care of him now and he's being treated well here
