I have a Westie and they are amazing. He’s 14. I rescued/ or bought him at 8 weeks. He is my most handsome boy.
I've had three Westies and just lost our little guy in December.
They are beautiful, very intelligent and the best dogs of any breed. I swear there was something human behind those soulful brown eyes.

I have owned three Westies. My third is going on 13 years old. Will get a fourth Westie when I loose my third. Losing one is heart breaking, but it is life.
Riley is our 3rd Westie. Each one had a great personality. Riley is so smart it's unbelievable. She understands most of what we say and responds to us. We love Westies. They are the best!!!

You're so right about the Westietude! My sweet boy Jazz had it in bunches. I had the honor of being his mama for almost 15 years. He passed in March. I miss him every day. ❤️🐾

Westietude is a real thing! And you're right about them reining a puppy their whole life, my Milo looked the same from the time we got him (he was 7, and was a neglected rescue) until we lost him at almost 17.

He does a quiet snap wish I could give you a video. It's like it's time for you to come to bed snap, strange leave my house snap. He gives you intense eye contact and then snaps. 🤣🤣
Aaah I understand now! Sorry I thought you meant snap in a figurative way 😅 Yeaah, Sami snaps sometimes too! More when he is excited though. He snaps and kisses my nose! 😍 Rarely when he is impatient and I ignore him, he will snap and "talk", more like mumbles 🤣 it's hilarious!
I have 4 Westies - parents and two pups. The oldest is 6 years old. You are spot on about your 5 things. I also find them very smart. All of mine are very smart and surprise me often.😊
What a happy house it must be! 😍 Sami is smart too, but only when it's about something he wants. Otherwise, he pretends he doesn't get it so he doesn't have to do it 😂 ...which I guess only proves how smart he actually is haha!

Amazing video Miruna, that's exactly the reasons for me to love westies. I was so in love with my first one, that a year later I got my second one. They make my life way more better. Hugs for Sami.

My Westie clacks his teeth to get my attention. He is so affectionate and is a true lap dog. He likes to sleep at the end of our bed. He does like his crate still after 12 years. I think it is security for e him.
My McKenzie is close to the teen years. 😂
SO TRUE:
1. You threw the toy you fetch it! (same with my Westie)
2. Adorable at any age (my previous Westie who died at 10,5 was still looking young, many people thought he is around 2-3 years old😊)
3. Get more affectionate with age. (My new Westie is 2 and still wants to be alone, doesn't give kisses, goes away after few scratches, I thought he doesn't like me but he is like this with everyone. The previous Westie who died at 10,5 would like your nose for like 10 min a few times a day🐶)
4. They are forever puppies. (My previous Westie would get excited, run around and act like a puppy more than my 2 years old Westie now🐕).

@@WestieVibes Indeed they seem to get more affectionate with age but the daily struggle of "Who's the boss🤨?" in the daily leash walks never stops. They love to be independent and to make their own decisions😄(both Westies are boys, can't say how Westie girls behave).
I had a Westie for 16 years her name was Brandy. she was a wonderful pet. Kind of sassy and independent but very loveable.. Then we had oe for 12 years the most loveable one ever. She was very sick had to put her down. Miss her everyday.

Thanks for commenting on the Westie “teenage” time. Our Tippi is 10 months old and is becoming a great dog! We did go thru some difficult puppy times but she is getting better all the time now. It would be helpful for new owners if you could make a video describing your experiences when Sammi was a puppy and teenager. Thanks!

My ZeZe barks TOO MUCH! I bought a pair of shoes, next day she chewed them! She's very defiant and runs when I say, "Go to bed!" (Kennel)! I'm ready to sell her! She's 14 months old.
I'm sorry to hear! Teenage pups are always difficult. Training classes make a difference, also rules in the house and be consistent with discipline. If you do this, it gets much better after they reach 2 years old!
It's a dog, maybe you tought to buy a Teddy bear...it's so sad everybody can buy a dog even if they are not suited like you.
I Hope that the dog can find a new home far away from you! 😡
