Errrreh! Got issued this in ‘03 for my Iraq tour. In ‘06 or ‘07, we started using the new Ontario bayonet. My wife got me an M3 trench knife, but I’ve been feeling a little nostalgic recently so I’m looking into getting one of these. Anyway, great review. Semper Fi!
The M1 Carbine uses the U.S. M4 bayonet. Imperial/Schrade was the only company who had Gov. contracts for both the M4 & M7 Bayonets. no other company made both models.
@@richbutler7828 nice. I just got one off of ebay marked BOC and scabbard is PWH. correction - scabbard is marked TWB. Produced from between Jan 1969 and may 1970. "Its only appearance on a scabbard contract was two years later, in January 1969. This was the government's final M8A I scabbard contract with the Working Home, which probably accounts for the relative scarcity of "TWB" marked scabbards versus the more commonly encountered "PWH" markings.
