I fucking love playing Hakari, bro. For his lackluster base kit, he has the most unga bunga goofy ass awakening, and I LOVE it. Hitting that 1 roll jackpot when shit looks dire is truly the greatest feeling in JJS.
Hakari is to me at least, the most respectable character to fight (in base) His cooldowns are decently small, so he's consistently rewarded with a decent damage combo for playing well in neutral, as well as really not having a ton of cheese or gimmicks. He's pure fundamentals and I loooove his design And as always, love the live commentary style, keep it up man!
Something i have realized after popping my domain as hakari is that you can just spam R for a free jackpot chance, like, people get so overwhelmed by the opening of your domain that they just RUSH to your location to start a m1 combo. Sorry for bad english!!
hakari is simple but still has his own little tricks and stuff you can do. for example, you can shift lock fever breaker to change the direction they get launched in. so for those that like to instantly evasive/escape dash out of the fever breaker to punish, i tend to do a full 180 last second so they dash in the complete wrong direction in their punish attempt. if you time reserve balls, it can stun a person on getup. which is nice for a combo extension or something. besides that, sometimes i try to do some weird combos like using reserve ball after 3 m1s to see if they instantly evasive/escape dash as some players do and its much safer than fever breaker as if they are doing that, they probably didnt even realize they used up their evasive or escape dash. if they block your m1 when you approach with side dash, you can back up a bit and do shutter doors to catch them if they try punishing your m1s with their own. just stuff i have fun doing with hakari. he still has depth to him if you want to beyond that surface of simplicity he has.
Personally i like hakari is because or just how he feels, like rough energy feels strong, fever breaker actually feels impactful, most of the other characters have only 1 move that FEELS impactful, like divergent fist, focus strike, world cutting slash, etc
Personally, i disagree. Mahito has 2 imo, aerial stockpile and black flash. Yuji also has 2, black flash and aerial cursed strikes (especially the finisher), but i guess what feels impactful depends on each person's taste. Also, dont forget that every single one of yujis moves has a finisher. And they all have extra animations/cutscenes as opposed to most base finishers that only has unique effects. The finishers definitely add impact to his character
Part 50 of posting my movesets until he reviews them Hey man I've been watching your vids your vids for a long time now and I love them, so if you can, pls review my JJK Hana Kurusu (Angel) and my Uro moveset Visual changes: Your avatar will have a glowing yellow halo above your head and small angel wings Btw sorry if this underwhelming, cus we don't see much of angel's cursed technique in the manga, but I still hope that you enjoy reading this Ingame name: The Ascended One R move- you can fly for 3 seconds as fast as running normally and break through any building you fly into (drains a little bit of your ult bar kind of like Gojo) 1) Divine grab (Blockable)- This is a 'press twice move' where if you just press once, you will grab your opponent and slam them into the ground, if you press twice, you will grab your opponent and float a little bit into the air, and send your opponent flying into the ground with a glowing yellow aura released from your wings (kind of like tsb Tatsumaki first move variant) 2) Blessed beam (Unblockable)- this is a ranged attack where you clasp your hands together (like piercing blood) and shoot out a glowing yellow beam (a very mini Jacob's ladder) 2+R- Once you hit someone with the beam you will automatically fly towards your opponent and while striking them in the head with a cursed energy infused fist, however you will have to aim where your character flies and if you miss, then the person that you hit with the beam will be on his knees for 2 seconds, stunned and unable to get up, once the two seconds are up, your opponent will get up unless you hit that person before the two seconds are up 3) Seraphic aura (Unblockable)- Creates a small glowing yellow sphere around you (transparent) that lasts 2 seconds, this heals you and gives you a speed buff anyone that enters the area a speed debuff 4) Paradisical touch (Unblockable but reduces damage if blocked)- this will make you fly for 1.5 seconds and whoever you fly into receives a reasonable amount of damage while getting knocked back None of the awakening moves are blockable Awakening- Celestial Evolution- which makes you float into the air and makes you perform the t pose that Sukuna did while fighting Jogo along with some manga panels with quotes from angel in the manga 1) Sacred Authority- lets out a glowing yellow aura that expands a like an explosion and whoever gets caught in that aura will stop what they are doing and kneel towards you on one leg while they take damage every second, this last for five seconds, the range is half as far as hollow Nuke 2) Planetary Plummel- You fly into the air and sends a giant glowing yellow fist that makes all buildings that came in contact with the fist crumble to the floor, and any person that came in contact with it will be sent flying into the nearest building 3) Jacob's Ladder (I'm sure you already know what this is)- Summons the infamous star symbol in the sky and sends a giant glowing yellow beam from that symbol, this does the most damage to curses which means if someone who has Sukuna or Mahito equipped gets hit by this it will take away half of their health, then it takes away a quarter of their health if they are a human like Hakari Gojo or Megumi, this also erases any object/part of a building that it touches. I love hakari. He is increadibly fun to olay but he is absolutely mid compared to the high tiers. Gojo is similar but gojo is at least very strong. Hakari while fun to play has a lot of problems like near no mobility unlike yuji and mahito's crazy kobility or great neutral like gojo. He's just the most simple objective: Beat the fuck out of them, dont die(Optional) character ever and i love him.😊
Tbh the main combos i do with hakari are ragdoll combos, kinda like 4 m1s, walk around them a bit and time the dash to get another 3 m1s, shutter doors, 3 m1s, uppercut, fever breaker rough energy, reserve balls, and the same thing of walking around a bit for more m1s
Do a character bingo, like a 5x5 board with 25 things that may or may not occur in 1v1s, and go in 1v1s trying to make them happen. If you get a full strip (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) you win
I would argue in a 1v1 setting it is better to use your domain with both of you in it, this is because if you are good at the game you can use fever breaker and the perry to get points for ult. So you would be waiting less time for the 4th roll if it get to that since you wouldnt be waiting for the cooldown. Also if they are in your domain they cant break it from the outside.
In my opinion, hakari might be in the same tier as yuji because of the simple fact this character can pull off 60% inescapeable combos while all yuji can do when someone is ragdolled is aerial crushing blow (Also broken awakening)

Some people aren't smurfs when they have low kill count. Me and my friend ofter play jjs and he never goes on public servers so he has 0 kills but since we are fighting so often he is better than 90% of people I fight, and I have over 2k kills

I love hakari. He is increadibly fun to olay but he is absolutely mid compared to the high tiers. Gojo is similar but gojo is at least very strong. Hakari while fun to play has a lot of problems like near no mobility unlike yuji and mahito's crazy kobility or great neutral like gojo. He's just the most simple objective: Beat the fuck out of them, dont die(Optional) character ever and i love him.😊
Hakari was my starter character because of his simple gameplay still use him from time to time tho cause hes fun playing with

Tbh the main combos i do with hakari are ragdoll combos, kinda like 4 m1s, walk around them a bit and time the dash to get another 3 m1s, shutter doors, 3 m1s, uppercut, fever breaker rough energy, reserve balls, and the same thing of walking around a bit for more m1s

I would argue in a 1v1 setting it is better to use your domain with both of you in it, this is because if you are good at the game you can use fever breaker and the perry to get points for ult. So you would be waiting less time for the 4th roll if it get to that since you wouldnt be waiting for the cooldown. Also if they are in your domain they cant break it from the outside.
If hakari had like 2 or 3 finisher he would feel so much better

In my opinion, hakari might be in the same tier as yuji because of the simple fact this character can pull off 60% inescapeable combos while all yuji can do when someone is ragdolled is aerial crushing blow (Also broken awakening)
