- We rode on the White Pass Scenic Railway in Skagway, Alaska while on our Alaskan cruise with Royal Caribbean's Ovation Of The Seas! It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time! The White Pass Scenic Railway is considered Alaska's most scenic train ride in America and it did not disappoint! Hope you all enjoy Day 3 of our Alaska Cruise! Did you book this through your cruise line or can you book it separate from your cruise line. We're not seeing it on the Carnival luminous which is our ship in May.
We booked it through the cruise line but you can book online through their website. Just google White Pass Railway. I see that May is booking up quick so it’s possible the day your ship is in port it’s sold out 😬
Taking this august 2024. Looking forward to it after watching. How far is it from town to the port.

The port is right in town basically. Maybe a 1/4 mile walk down to the pier 😊
Can you take the train back instead of taking a bus or a car back
You don’t actually get off the train at all. It just goes up to Whitehorse Pass and then goes backwards back down to Skagway
