Is there any part of Jeff's morning routine you'll take for your own?

Its good to find a mentor and Jeff Bezos seems to be the one for you.
Think about it though. The day you become your own mentor! The day you stop looking up to others...
The day you live your OWN life.
Hopefully you'll reach there faster than most but please stop idealising people who are made out to be successful.
Its a good start, but you couldn't imagine how lonely and unhappy most of them are.
WHY ? Because now they have to live up to the expectations that OTHERS have put into them.
      Think about it.

    Step 2: Step 2 doesn't matter, see step 1.

Definitely one of your best videos. I took notes. 2 major and majors points for me are:
    1) Focus on providing vale to the end user/customer. Bezos talks on this in every talk I've heard.
    2) Focus only on the social media outlets which "move the needle" for your success. Social Media is a progress killer. I made a list of my sites, and ticked the ones I should care about. Only 2. 3 others to ignore.
    I also personally use:
    1) Ignore sarcastic negativity and whining. Many of the replies here are of these types. Sarcasm is quite prevalent in Brit' culture so it can be a real battle. (I worked in Silicon Valley for many years where it is noticeably less.)
    2) Get away from the keyboard. This is also a big time waster. I print articles and papers I need to read, and go outside to a coffee shop. Sometimes 2-3hrs worth of reading and editing without phone or laptop.

It was his primarily his business savvy intellect, his drive and motivation that made him who he is today. But yes, a part of it was that he was given $300.000 by his parents as an investment into Amazon.

i completely agree with, “slow is smooth, and smooth is fast”.
i spent the last week waking up at 8am and running to my downtown cafe (2 miles) to grab a coffee, sit on the Napa River boat deck and watch the water.
at first i thought this small addition to my mornings would be a subtle change, but by the time i get back home i am refreshed, energized, and extremely motivated. i have gotten so much done, and as a result i feel genuinely happier.

First, the phrase, “first of all” is only acceptable when one wishes to emphasize the primacy of something in relation to a series of other things; second, it is therefore incorrect to say, “second of ALL, third of ALL, etc. because the primacy of the first thing has already been stated.
Also, the ordinal adverbs “firstly”, “secondly” “thirdly”, and so on - though they are widely used - remain incorrect in formal usage.
It is better to enumerate a series of points by simply saying, “first”, “second”, “third”, etc. These are minor points, I know; but for formal presentations in professional and corporate settings, precision in language is always appreciated - especially since it’s becoming increasingly more rare.

You are super smart, driven, and guided by your intuition. You don't need uni. Great video :) Just got yourself a new sub!
I am totally with him about taking time to relax and do things when your mind is at its best, rather than trying to work yourself to the bone like you hear so many people in the self-development world talk about. I am 25, enrolled in 2 schools at once, one of them being a masters degree in Chinese medicine and the other an Ayurvedic counselor's program. Both schools are challenging but I make straight As. I also work a little doing math tutoring and house sitting. It sounds like a lot to do but, honestly I find a lot of time to relax and only work when I am "on". The thing that is most important to me in life is spirituality. I wake up every morning at 4:30 am and meditate for an hour and a half and then go outside during the sunrise to do yoga and go for a long leisurely walk or whatever other exercise I feel like. I always make time to do the things I love like spending time with family, hiking, or trying new things. I never work late to finish assignment and I put my mental and physical health above everything else. This all keeps me in a good place so that I can maintain my mindset to accomplish what the things I'm passionate about.
