Hey men, thanks for the great inspiration! I just took the seat out of my truck. Question: Did you have to cut the third seatbelt to get it out of there? I havent figured any other way yet.
So, stumbled upon your channel and started followong from the other side of the world ! Nice build towards that piece of freedom ! Greetings from Belgium !
Awesome ! I'm all about the DIY!! It's crazy on how much space there is once those seats are removed !! With the leftover plywood maybe build small storage boxes ? Lots of leftover.
Nice video I just bought a 2010 Silverado 1500 Texas Addition, crew cab, 4x4 with a 6 inch lift and bed cover for over landing . I’ve had it a couple months and after 2 trips I’ve decided to delete the rear seat just as you have I appreciate the DIY you’re doing.
Awesome job! I just got the exact truck from my company. Going to delete the 60 side and keep the 40 seat. And build a platform Like you did to mount my pack out boxes to!
very informative CQ. I am a recent sub and currently binge watching your vids. in the process of converting my 2011 tahoe to go on day/overnight camping here in the northeast. your vids have helped me to figure out what I need and don’t need. thank you.
Looks nice. Thats a lot of space compared to what you had previously. Definitely a worthwhile renovation. Doesnt look like you have a pass through window into the bed of your truck.
@@CrazyQuady anytime bro I look forward to more videos like that, also you should do more day to day stuff I think people would be interested in what else you get upto other than camping and fishing 👍
Wanted more room to carry a road bike in the truck rather than be exposed in bed of my 2008 Silverado crew cab. This was a perfect idea. Only thing I did differently was build a small 2x4 T-frame under the floor for additional support. Thanks for the inspiration!
Exactly the 800th Thumb up man. You are The You Tube Truck Camper King. But you have Mav running up behind you pretty fast in the race to be the The King. Think about that there CrazyQuady dude holly shit eh!
This looked very familiar, as I tried to do the same thing to a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Extra cab I had. Short answer, I needed a bigger truck. I got one later, but I also got a little Casita 17 I could use as a comfortable base camp. Be safe! There are lots of ways to get there!
WOW! That was just what I needed for inspiration! We (actually I) just bought 2013 Silverado X-Cab. Our issue is finding a place to stow a standard wheelchair. Wife needs it to get around, and it is a bit tight/annoying to fit behind passenger seat. I was thinking about removing passenger side back seat to make the space we need. Making carpet covered back will look lots better! Also - are there thru cab airflow issues with your mods? Any insight appreciated.
@@CrazyQuady thought the same all the way through the vid until you mentioned the downs, since the 2 legs are so far to the corners, thought 2 birds, 1 stone
I live in a state where we have to get an inspection sticker once a year if I was to remove my back seats do I have to put the seats back in to get my sticker? I would prefer to keep the seats out because I never have passengers and I would like to have the storage room
With those factory bolt's that set-up isn't going anywhere! I'd still mount a inverter and wire it through the cab. Pretty much endless things that can be operated and charged with one
I may add a layer on the back of the cab, but I may also add some quick releases to the top of the back panel so that it can fold. There is still some usable space behind the panel at the base.
nice set up if i owned truck i do same i am thinking doing wood plat form in my 2016 subaru crosstrek for car camping soon whenever weather gets nice and if u want free movies check out tubi tv i have app my iphone or netflix hopefully my parents dont get mad wile i do that soon haha
This is Old But you have come a long way
Healing takes time but you are 💪🙏❤️So many people have learned so much from you
Very well done! Blends right in with the rest of the interior and that space is way more useful now. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Thanks!

That is a really good idea and project. It makes it so much more convenient having extra easy access to more storage. Good video.
ive been stuck trying to figure out how to do the back part and this vid just solved my problem , keep up the great work
That looks good man. That carpet blends right in. To me the flat floor creates more storage, above and below. Noice 👊
Thanks, I feel like there is almost double the usable space now

That back seat space looks dude! 👌
Great job, Mike. It looks really great. Awesome idea. You'll be able to utilize that space more efficiently.
Thanks, it almost feels like I doubled the usable space back there
Dude I'm in Lexington, Ky.... I love your videos....they literally make my week!
I appreciate the support!
Great job man ! I just deleted 40% of my backseats on my Ram and going to build the same platform.
Thats what i wanna do is take the small seat out and build a littlle box to keep tools secure so they dont kill me in a wreck
Great use of space, clean job👍
This came out really good
Great work man. That's giving me an idea for mine. I have a crew cab, so i'll have a little more room to add storage. Sweet.
I’m really enjoying this build. I’ll be doing something very similar next year! Can’t wait.
Get after it!
Great job
I would love watching this anyways but with having a 2007 same make and model as yours it’s a great tutorial!
Lot of room looks great
Sweet!!! Looking awesome. Ty for the video always love watching them.! Cheers!
Awesome job! Now to find a place to store my rear seat!
Looks good! I just got mine finished up yesterday, keep it up!
Thanks!
Simple but effective, looks good man! Very good maximization of space!
Thank you!

Nope, no slider window on the cab. It would be nice to have one though!
Nice work - looks professionally made!!
Thanks!
This looks super cool man, great job! Now you've plenty of room for storage.
Thanks, there is a ton of usable room back there now!
Great job Crazy Q 🤟 Looks awesome 👍
Thanks 🙌
What size was both of the plywood back and bottom
Nice bro clean . Good job.
Dude that looks mint!!! Very nice use of space and I’m glad you went for staples vs glue that stuff stinks!! Much love from London England 👌

Very nice job. thanks for sharing. Stay safe and separated out there ,See you on the road.
Nice job looks great! You need to find some forest service roads and get the truck dirty!
Forest service and Nebraska don't go together, minimum maintenance roads and cornfields maybe 🤣

great add, good idea.
This was a great idea !
Nice job! I've got a 2014 F150 I've been thinking about taking the back seat out of. Gave me some ideas!
Give it a try!
This looks nice. You should do a super stealth camping.
Its looking great.
Thanks!
Looks good! If your going to add the tie downs, put a screw top down into the legs while your at it.
I might, at this point I just didn't want to drill through the carpet

Your neighborhood is super quiet. Well, till that guy started cutting wood with his noisy saw. Lol! Turned out nice. Tons of room for stuff.
Another great video, time to overland that thing! 😁
All in due time!

Did that shorten your drivers seat back? It looks kinda forward.
Good job!
Thank you!
Nice build. Think I want to do something similar . Thx
Thanks for the video.
What length bolts did you end up needing to use ?
With those factory bolt's that set-up isn't going anywhere!
I'd still mount a inverter and wire it through the cab. Pretty much endless things that can be operated and charged with one
Good job
What’s the measurement on that? I’m doing mine now!!
Hey found your channel today. I'm doing the same thing to my 2009 crew cab. What kind of carpet is that?
Random stuff from the hardware store, pretty sure it came from Menards
What are the dimensions of the rear wood bolted to the back wall? Thanks!
Lookin good man. We're did you buy the carpet? It's really windy in Kansas today 35 + mph. Have fun , enjoyed the video.
Carpet is from menards, most carpet shops should have something similar
Wow you did an awesome job props to you😁🖒
Thanks!
Looks functional and good. What did you do with the seat you took out?
Seats are in storage for now
@@CrazyQuady Poor question on my part. Are you keeping the seats in case you sell the truck and want to put them in again?
Oh for sure, I dont get rid of stuff like that
@@CrazyQuady Thank you.
Great Job.!
That was 3/4” or 1/2” plywood?
Thanks for sharing CQ
For finding holes like that on another side I put some paint on top of the bolt.
Id rather slap it with a dead blow 😂
@@CrazyQuady came out perfect
Nice to be handy
What size lift do you have on the truck
Very nice.. yes. -Borat
I like 👍
What is the song used at the start of the video?
Great vid looks bril thanks
Thanks 🤘
Where did you pick up that black carpet? Im doing the same project, having a hard time finding it locally
Local store called Menards
why dont you add insulation while you're at it?
I may add a layer on the back of the cab, but I may also add some quick releases to the top of the back panel so that it can fold. There is still some usable space behind the panel at the base.
Put your mat tracks under good to store them
What are the dimensions ?
