Nice concept but your drawers should extend out the doors, and your electrical box and storage box would be more accessible if the doors were hinged from the middle instead of the outside edge of the box.

I thought the same but respect the creativity of it.

Love it was toying around in my Tacoma with back seats in out folded down etc. it’s way too small to sleep in stretched out but it can be done with a bunch of big pillows and sleep astronaut style(I’ve done it. Did you ever think if you had to sleep in there that you could pull those drawers out and place another board across them that lines up with the platform box evenly? Then push front seats forward and that would make a wider sleeping platform? Love the storeage cabinet and the lights are cool effect 👍🏻

What you are doing is actually illegal unless you completely remove the seatbelts. You then have to get your modifications inspected and certified.

Hi mate brilliant idea there do you have a final result with the 12v system installed?

Great stuff, well done. Personally I wouldn't have used mdf, means you can't do river crossings. Only creek crossings for you but I'm guessing you already knew that and dont care.

Every modification starts with bullbar. So what's your next setup?

I would like to do that to 2002 Ford F350
Do you have your dc to dc and battery installed yet?
Do You plan to have 12v frig here also?

Sweet setup man but I was wondering why you opted to go with the MDF and not marine ply. Wouldn’t the draw system get ruined if u went thru deep water? Love the vids btw!!

T33DIOUS SLAYZ marine ply is $100 a sheet more expensive so couldn’t justify the price and it’s all inside the cab so if water gets in there I’ll have bigger problems to worry about then the drawers haha

Also, the MDF is quite heavy and brittle . But it does take paint well!

@KP Built hey mate, doing the same setup in the back.
What did you fix that first bit of mdf 2 ?
Is there a channel that you fixed it to that doesn't go through the floor ?

I know you've probably forgotten about this video but i just wanted to know how you mounted it all down or is it just free standing

Yeah good job. But I'm pretty sure I've heard if you remove the rear seats you need an engineers report as your modifying the vehicle. If anyone can confirm or correct,, 👍👍

Depends on state. I know vic doesnt require a VASS as long as retraints arent removed i.e leave the belts in and if you have a drama say you can refit the seats. I keep a print out with the regs relevant in the glovebox. Gives you some ammo in case you catch a copper on a bad day. Once belts are removed its gotta be replated as a 2 seater

Nice work mate! Any reason why you chose to have the drawer open towards the front of the car instead of out the doors for easy access?

    • @KPBUILT
      @KPBUILT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Zhivan Wasinski left door has to go that way or I won’t fit as much wiring and battery storage but the right door I plan on switching to other side as I thought I’d rather access it from the driver seat but I prefer opening back door to access

I m not sure, but your drawers are opening in front of the front direction .... if it is opening to side right and left, it is more practical??

  • @brendanlg5888
