    Haha it’s amazing what alittle practice produced Lol I’ve been doing this naturally ever since I spent one day one the river doing nothing but firing a few different pistols and watching what happened, how my hands wore throughout the day(blisters), and watching my red dot as you said. After that day it was obvious what “EVERYBODY” says to do wasn’t exactly right for everybody. Sadly that’s what they teach!! Hence the pined comment haha I’ve been carrying a subcompact for about a year and I’ve noticed this trick works even better with small pistols. I stopped getting a “proper” grip once I saw a drastic difference in hits. What I recommend is PRACTICE and see what happens, stop trying to follow instructions and try different grips, angles, and just experiment!! Other than ammo cost nowadays, what do you have to lose 😉😁👍🏼🧐🤓 thanks Dom!! PS-you sound awesome!! I see you got it upgraded your mic!! Hopefully all of that made sense haha

      Lol that's awesome Josh , thats literally the same way I came up with it as well. I just stopped listening to what I was being told was the best way for me and just recorded myself over and over and changed and tweaked little things here and there as needed. Then By trial and error for months came up with this. I was overjoyed and a bit pissed when I got it 😂. Like I said some times you need to just need to experiment.

    • @KingDOMCollective
      @KingDOMCollective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@donlang2661 Great question, I still get high and tight and still draw out aggressive to get that high tang behind the beavertail. When I'm about to present I'm always thinking pinky and support hand Palm placement. Everything else I have locked into. Muscle memory I then remember to back off the tension and initial grip tnsion when I push out. I'm not going to lie at first I was slow compared to my previous methods but I can confidently say I'm right around the same speed out of a holster as I was with other methods out of the holster and with apedix carry reloads as well. After trying this today, there seems to be merit to everything but the 'pinky' focus. Found myself shooting low left *and* low right; the latter I don't recall ever doing so before. I almost left the range thinking it was just me until just focusing pressure on the middle and ring fingers; which brought my grouping back up. It makes more sense since both fingers are more of pulling straight back into your arm, which complements the very "press" suggested in the video.
    The rest is solid advice (for example, I thought the Glock 48 was too skinny, but clearly the sides actually don't matter), and I thank you for it and the chill video. 👍

    Dom in this video I feel your engineering background....
    Everything fantastic: contact area, the balance of forces, angular momentum given by the grip of the little finger that opposes the recoil force.
    Same support hand height to equalize the vector force due to the holding hand.
    Relaxed arms and shoulders to allow the shooting vibration to be absorbed.
    I don't understand how anyone can comment badly on what you have perfectly exposed !!
    Larry Vickers recently said what you exposed about being able to see the movement of the red dot right after the shot.
    Walther in the PDP model have widened the end of the grip to focus the red dot and increase the grip on the little finger :).
    Thank you very much and sorry for the long comment but is rare to see such “gold material”.
    Take care and thanks also to the one who convinced you to share your video ;)

    This is great news for me being that my hands are to big.
    I had to get wrap around Houge grips to give me more surface but my hand still wrapped to far around to get my support palm into position.
    I like the c clamp grip, it adds a wee bit more room.
    I'm going to concentrate more on your objectives here, especially the relaxing of my elbows and shoulders.
    Thank you my friend...

    • @KingDOMCollective
      @KingDOMCollective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had the same issue man and your 100 % right if you have bigger hands the c clamp gives you a tad bit more room. Then the palm first on your support hand makes sure its EXACTLY where it needs to be. You will be able to feel and notice the difference when shooting right away. 👊

Looking forward to trying these ideas on the range once they open again here. 8m new to shooting and have been having the same problems with accuracy. The notion of giving more grip is interesting, want to try it. Also, the support hand fitting into that small space to get maximum contact on the handle has always felt wrong to me to with the finger indexing. Also the locking elbows out, feels uncomfortable and takes away grip contact as you describe. Going to try your method next time I get the opportunity and Ill let you know how it works out. Love them vid dom. The only question I have is how do I do this with smaller hands? I carry a p320 x-compact with a medium grip module. Trying your technique makes me feel like I need a smaller module( which may be a good idea anyway). Either way I am going to give this a go. Thanks again for the vid.

    • @KingDOMCollective
      @KingDOMCollective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Victor you very well may need a smaller one indeed. One of the big things you need to achieve with this method is to allow your support hand palm to run from top to bottom on the back side of your gun with out lifting off it at any point and with out a gap between shooting hand and support hand placement. If there is a gap a smaller module might be the key. My wife uses this method with my glock 45 and to compensate for having smaller hands she doesn't turn her support hand over and point it as much so she doesn't get quite as high as me but it does allow her to have no gaps while still putting all her support hand grip in complete contact. So she still gets all the benefits of this method just slightly more muzzle flip which doesn't matter as much because this style allows it to snap back so fast she absolutely loves it!!! So you can always give that a shot as well Hope that helps brother, keep me updated.
