Drummers Downwind Challenge 2022/23 - Perth Western Australia

"The DDC" is the coolest event in paddling 😎 Pure downwind, laid back, self-managed, grass roots soul surfing, the Drummer's course is a flat water paddler no go zone!! 😉 I hope you enjoy these grabs I captured using my new Gopro camera POV on yet another traditional course run (Sandtrax Beach to City Beach) Brian, Cam (46 runs for the season and counting 😯) and I threaded our way through last Sunday. Another Drummer, Alex, joined us in the last km to surf a few runs with me before I hit the beach at City. The event format is simple ie. from Nov 1 till a date TBA in Feb, we paddle the 11.8km course whenever we want and as many times we want and simply link our Garmin stat's by posting on the Drummers FB page. Our times are collated and averaged out over the season, then handicaps are calculated and we paddle in one big handicap race to end the season........it's brilliant!!
