Fantastic tutorial. So often, this is all I need. No 30-second intro. You didn't take 10 minutes to tell us what we could learn in 90 seconds. There is a place for longer form tutorials, of course. But as an experienced user who just needs someone to quickly say, "This is how you do this," this video was a bull's eye. Thank you.

I click on "properties" and i don't get that option only the actual "properties" window where you can select pictures and all that stuff, maybe my photoshop isn't the latest version idk.

Mistake #1 - Didn't duplicate your unlocked layer first.

I tried these same steps in the 2024 version and it doesn't work
it says no properties in my properties window
When I select properties from under "windows" it says, "No Properties"

that's all very well, but how do you export just the foreground image without a background - for example if you want to import the image in a scene in Blender and have just the image with a transparent BG

The photo is unlocked, but when I click properties, the "remove background" isn't there. When I right click it, the "Rasterize layer" isn't available to select. Is there a work around?

My remove background option isn't anywhere. I've unlocked the layer and hit rasterize layer but it still isn't there.

This was using 2021 PS. It's crazy how now in 2023, the newest edition of PS is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo much better at removing backgrounds. The whole AI integration to the core workflows has seriously leapfrogged all other editions. Makes you wonder where we'll be in another 2 years lol. "Flawless Victory".

Does not work. Although I have the latest version of Photoshop (22.5.0), there is no "Quick Actions" Menu or "Remove Background" button as this video says. I wish there was a simple, clear way to remove a background on Photoshop.
At 0:37, the text on the screen says "if your layer is a smart object..." What does that even mean? And the "Remove Background" button does not exist. Just another "Remove Background" tutorial that doesn't work. I've watched at least 10 different vids to try to remove a background..

When I try to export as a jpeg, the background is white... even though I've set the transparency to 100% as shown in the video.
yo i cant find the quick actions button over on the right hand side even after clicking on windows and properties. all im seeing is "Edit contents" "Convert to Linked..." and "Convert to Layers"
When I go to the Properties menu, as suggested here, there is no "remove background" option, so this tutorial doesn't really work. I am running Photoshop 24.0.0.
