This was a great tutorial. One issue that I had, that I later solved was, when you create a group, make sure to drag the layer into the group, and then select to group before creating a color fill. I found that when I didnt do this, the color would just apply to the background rather than the mask itself. Hope this helps anyone who is a little lost like I was! :)
Fantastic Tutorial. Killer with no filler. I was stuck on a color change and didn't want to watch a 30 minute tutorial. This is the way all tutorials should be. Thanks!
Thanks for saving me so much time! How to do add/takeaway from the selection on Mac? *edit* Figured it out! Hold the option tool & drag the section tool over what you want to take away!
Thank You so so so much for this tut I’ve been watching like 10min to 1hr videos on colors which didn’t help me at all but this 2 minute one was a charm. Thank you 🙏🏿
Thank you for this video. I just cannot understand how it's possible for a piece of software like this to be so incredibly difficult it's like they made it hard to understand on purpose.
what happens if the object I'm trying to select is black? I found that when applying "Color" blend mode to a black object doesn't really work (it just makes the color adjustment look dark and nasty). any suggestions?
Mate, honestly, one of the best tutorials I've ever seen on the matter. Using a group and everything 👌. That helps because you can ensure all your adjustment layers under the central layer mask by default. One thing, I'd have loved if you had explained a little more on why you did the little things like kept the brightness contrast layer above the color fill layer. Would have helped us understand your thought process. Very cool, mate.
Works like a hole in the center of a donut - perfect! Well spoken and spot on photoshop color editing. Our creative team used your guide to easily and effectively change tan objects to white. 💖💖
I thought I learned something new with the way you selected your image but I can't do that, apparently I don't have the same tool, I have a "quick selection" tool and a "magic wand" tool. The quick selection tool isn't as quick as yours and it's more difficult with pictures that have a lesser quality. Then after doing everything you said the color can't get to what I chose, it starts out light and then after turning the values all the way down it gets darker but not as dark as I need. The only way I could change it to darker was to add another adjustment layer and chose hue and saturation.
THIS is a TEXTBOOK EXAMPLE of what a GOOD TH-cam tutorial is. 10/10

Wow. This was so fast and easy. Worked like a charm! Thank you for doing this in a 2 minute video instead of 12 minutes of rambling like most of these
Good comment. I couldn't agree more, those long introductions and rambling instructions get on your tits.
