Perfect combination of modern-day LED technology with a traditional rotator. Nothing beats the "pop-flash" you can only get from an actual rotating light source.
Too bad they cost $300. Otherwise, more people would buy them. Instead, I bought a traditional halogen rotating dash light (Fireball II) for a quarter of the price and couldn't be happier.
@@greenrefrigerator Remember, they get $300 for the single color model, which means they would charge you even MORE if a multi-color version like this were offered. You're right though... it's a shame they charge so damn much for this light because a LOT more people would buy them if they were more reasonably priced. This shows you they COULD make a mutli-color version of this light but the sad truth is their thinking is if they did that they wouldn't rake in as much of that precious ca$h.
@@foskeight8 Federal Signal is interested in government contacts where they sell millions of dollars of products, they don't give a hoot about making one small sale to a small guy.
The LEDs under the reflector module can be set to different colors. Light from those LEDs are then reflected into the mirror. Sounds complex but its actually a simple yet innovative design.

What is the story behind this multi color beacon? It is not available on the market. Was this a prototype or you modified it yourself?

How does this work, I have only seen single color beacons. Thanks
David Alexander . One of a kind engineering sample
