Much prefer the top one. Too much lag time for the geared though what would've made the geared one superior is if they done a better job of staggering the rotators so you had light burst similar to the Code-3 XL but in a more unison flash pattern.

You said "junk" but I thought it was kind of neat. Unusual. I've never seen anything like it. I can't see any practical use for it in service but would be something fun to have around for decoration or novelty.

Ah yes - the nostalgic feeling of Grand Theft Auto 3, these lightbars were on the police cars in that 2001ish game.

Which style do you like best, with the large cylindrical LEDs or the tiny LEDs?

Federal Signal Aerodynic Lightbar up top being used. I just got ahold of one myself. Neat lightbar for the older days

These lights were in service with alot of police departments in the early 2000s. I know the Pa state police used them as did the CHP and Pittsburgh police.

You don’t happen to know a part number for the plastic standoffs that hold the control board up on the bar do you? In 2008 I turned a Smart Vector into a Super Smart Vector. I added smart pods to the 1 and 7 location and added another board. My plan was to use it for volunteer fire, but never did. Still have the bar, but could never mount the other control board in it fully since I don’t have the standoffs and never got around to looking for them. I would like to try to set up the bar one day and mount it.
