    I'm not a professional mechanic, but I used to work in a shop. I could do about 95% of my own work, and it helped that I had every tool I needed, and if I got stuck, my mechanics would help me.
    I'm no longer working at the shop, and I will be installing my Hopes myself so this video is an excellent guide. Hopefully it goes as easy as this.

      Just go step by step and it should be straightforward

      @@travers_bikes it was really easy with the help of the video. I rode 40 or so miles this weekend on some really tech trails and the brakes feel amazing. The lever feel is so great.

    This was a super helpful video and I just installed a set of Hope E3s. The hardest part was threading the cable through the frame on a Specialized Turbo Levo. After cutting lines I did not have to bleed brakes. My adapters for calipers worked that were on there. The only issue was my SRAM direct mount shifter do NOT fit on Hope Tech 4 levers. I thought they looked like they would but it's not the right shape. I'll have to order the Hope direct mount for SRAM. Also my Oneup dropper lever did not fit with the SRAM direct mount adapter from the Guides. I'll have to order one of those as well. It sucks that adapter is $30 though when it's just a small part.

      Glad I could be of help, I guess if all the adapters were included it would raise the price for everyone

      @@travers_bikes You're right, but why do they have to charge $30 for a tiny adapter? it's a $5 part.

      In my experience the part cost is normally a small part of the finished price. There is a lot that goes in to getting these parts to market.

      @@travers_bikes you're 100% correct. The material cost is pennies, but the tooling and die to manufacture these parts is expensive.

      It’s market forces, it’s good that a company like Hope go to the trouble of offering the adapters, giving you lots of options to mix and match gears leavers and dropper leavers

    I want to ask when you buy them do they come as a pair or do have to buy them separately

    • @travers_bikes
      @travers_bikes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You spec them as you need I.e. front left or right and are sold individually

      @travers_bikes Ah OK. Shame they don't come in a pair or I would of thought they would come with a left and right together. Suppose it's better than a pair coming if you only need one though

    • @travers_bikes
      @travers_bikes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can obviously buy a pair, it frees you up to spec any option, colour, side or hose you want without it costing extra

    Mine squeel all the time.

    • @travers_bikes
      @travers_bikes  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Brakes squeal normally because of contamination from over spray from lubing the chain.
