    I genuinely love these brakes. The fit and finish is sooo satisfying, it feels like a work of art. The power is insane and the big venter discs just make it even better.

    I have never used DHR Evo....But I think Hope brakes are the best you can buy.....Their bite and reach adjustment are superb as well as the quality of their components! I did watch the video on Lewis brakes and they look like they might be good ones as well....I just have become a huge Hope fan because of their quality operation and fitment! Their Customer service and Engineering is second to none!

    Excellent review of these hope brakes and accessories.... I've had some hope brakes in the distant past, looking to get some of these for my ebike. Love the alignment 3D thingy. 👍🤟💪

    That orange and blue lever shown there as custom was cool as! Definitely go on by new ebike the blue and Orange! Will I replace new XTs though?

    The new braided cable is the same size as the standard black cable the olive slips right on to no need to cut the outer plastic anymore

    Shimanos new leak of theirs is very similar to the hope v4 calipers same like piston design 2 different sizes could be the new XT or saints but there pics look good, front and rear bleed valves on them

    ive been doing some researchon these brakes, i come form shimano saints and theyre good but i need more bite and less brake fade, where could i get all the parts for these brakes in the usa? the bleed kit is sold on amazon but seals and extra pistons for rebuilds is what im looking for as well as tools to service them, thank you for the great video!

    No, the resin insulates the brake-fluid from the heat.

    Hope have their STL files to download free to print on their website now if you have a 3D printer print them yourself! I've done a few sets now for mate's never charge for some free to download, I've done my own shimano XT one's, great wee tools!

    hey mate which brakes are better in your opinion these hope v4 or trp dhr evo??? which would you choose and why? thanks

    • @jedmtb
      @jedmtb  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I haven't ridden the v4's long enough to answer definitively but the v4's do have extra power over the trp and a smoother more controlled lever feel. I'll do a follow up review to see if they stay consistent as the trp's have been excellent in that regard without any issues.

      The trp dh evo are absolutely superb brakes .....solid reliable and powerful however the levers cannot be brought close enough to the bars without an aftermarket lever .I love to run mine really close

    • @knott4me561
      @knott4me561 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The green race pads are made by trickstuff not galfer .....galfer couldn't make a pad as powerful as hope required so they switched the greens to trickstuff. Purp,e and the organic red and all galfer

    • @jedmtb

      Yes the part numbers are HBSP426LN (left) HBSP426RN (right)

  • @shahidstraining

    I'm having trouble getting them perfectly alligned so there is not rotor rub. Even once bedding, adjusting,... it would be so nice if their was a bite adjustment. Do you have any reccomendations because once they are bedded i cant get the front to be noiseless, it inevitably touches somewhere because fitment is so tight. I'm running the vented rotor

    • @jedmtb
      @jedmtb  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As you say the vented rotors are a very tight fit, what I used to do with mine was bend the pad springs out, here is a video showing what I mean. th-cam.com/video/MDfzkZqvacU/w-d-xo.html

    Should use common brake pads, at least oriented to Shimano or Sram so that it is easy to find spare parts.

      Funny story on that: I usually watch a TH-cam Video while I'm in the shower and the wifey listens in and comments sometimes while getting ready. She kept repeating Ro-Or wheb Jed said it. She asked me if he dropped his T's in his Bo'o'o'Wo'a.
      All good, we yanks love the accent!
