    This theme gives me strong "anime protagonist" deck vibes from their aesthetic and simple "small monsters turn into big monster for bigger damage" strategy. Now if only it got a consistent wave of support as oppposed to just one really good card once a decade.

    “Final Sigma”, I’m pretty sure, is a reference to how Sigma, in math, is used to mean the sum of a set.
    So Final Sigma is the final sum of all your deck’s powerful effects in one boss monster.

  • @Sta_cotto
    @Sta_cotto 2 ปีที่แล้ว +74

    Fun trivia: in math, the capital Sigma is used to denote "the sum of all numbers from x to y", if I recall correctly from my high school calc days, which does make Sigma and Final Sigma appropriately named.

    • @anonymous1burger
      @anonymous1burger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes. Also, sigma is used to explain integration, so sigma and nabla comprise the two goals of Calculus, integration and derivation.

    Nayuta is probably the funniest Equip spell I've ever seen. Battle with it equipped, and Final Sigma can hit a cool 7k by sending Multiplication to the Yard, which does trigger Multi's grave effect. I've laughed my ass off a couple times because of people running into Final Sigma and doing exactly this.

    Laplacian is usually (Nabla)^2. So the effects arent really consistent.
    Edit: I just realized something cool: Both the xyz's are differential operators that are mostly some function of Nabla, so you can actually overlay the differential operator Nabla to obtain the other operators.

    Nayuta also triggers the grave effects of Nabla and the others.
    And I don't know if you've mentioned it (if yes I blame my adhd brain for not noticing) but the extradeck monsters are actual combinations of the maindeck monsters. Especially with Sigma, he's unaffected by it as ling in the E Zone, try it out, you'll get amazing results, I've built my deck for any problems, with back ups, heck I've one a game with only 5 spells in my hand along with getting that one on the field, the opponent could do only a little, and once I draw the card I needed I've won, sure you might take a few 200 or 500 points of damage, but it's better than taking 2 monsters with 2,500s and a big 3000.

And when I saw that card along with circular coming out, I had the biggest smile once I saw jamming, because I linked that to Final Sigma and his unaffected ability, heck even Super Heavy Samurais aren't safe, it takes away the DEF too.

    The downside to Konami not using Greek symbols in names any more means we ended up with the awkward name final sigma for ς (used at the end of a word) to differentiate from sigma Σ (capital) σ (lowercase). Final sigma is the symbol used for the Riemann Zeta function, whereas capital sigma is used for summation (what do you know, sigma is a tuner to add levels for the synchro summon).

    Definitely include Balancer Lord, the Link Disciple&Devotee pair engine, I:P Masquerena…

    • @jackmh2257
      @jackmh2257 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I have to agree with induction being really slow, and most of those tech picks are great (love balancer lord, disciple, and devotee. Not so sure about I:P, as that can easily take the extra monster zone up, which is a cardinal sin to have any other monster in the EMZ other than final sigma if you play mathmechs.), but if you run one Nayuta, it can be a great thing to search for with alembertian if you are going second to get that extra bit of damage on board. Just going through the normal plays, you usually have a 6k final sigma, and if you add Nayuta, you can battle and send division, not only getting final sigma to 7.5k, but it then cuts the monster you attack's atk in half, almost always getting you one huge hit. And if that doesn't finish it, then Nabla's effect will be there to let him swing at another monster with his 7.5k atk, almost insuring you win.

    • @AweStrikerNova
      @AweStrikerNova 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jackmh2257Many lines I see put Masquerena in a MMZ with Wickkid in the EMZ, with a third body to go into Knightmare Unicorn. If you use it to into something like Avramax or Closed World then you might have a problem, but as long as you stick to Cyberse you can always get it out with Nabla, Alembertian, or Division (though I don’t currently run Division either).

    Truly a mathematical theme here.

      I've actually had a taste of Overdress thanks to Casual Card Gamer! He sent me the Sylvan King deck after we had a cool little tournament. You can find them here, and you should totally check out our videos! th-cam.com/users/CasualCardGamer

    Puns are 10/10, but the Synergies and suggestions givem at the end were not indicative of the deck's best aspects. Also, no need to overhype Division and Nayuta😅

    I like archetype stuff but it does get kind of annoying when that's all you get is archetype stuff or sorry themes. I just think it drags down the game to who has the better archetype not who's the better player.
