Great video! The best one that I have seen yet! I have the same problem, with a similar mower. I just do not understand what the problem was with the solenoid, or how you fixed it. If you could be more specific, that would really help me out! What did you do to the solenoid? Sound like you "pumped it out", I just can understand with your slight accent. Sorry, I hope you can help me? Thank you!
@@rickohlson3962 Oh OK it sounds now like you might have said, backed it out. So can you explain further how I get this solenoid out without me breaking it? Also, what did you use for a spacer?
@@rickohlson3962so you’re saying the solenoid is causing the reviving up and down and cutting off the lil tip on the rod inside won’t hurt anything my mower just started doing this
@mpatrick7860 I.No worries I really don’t know I didn’t test it .Ours was working but not letting fuel in .The best thing to do next is do the tappet clearance. They usually are way out .That makes a huge difference.
That’s another issue .Did you do the tappet adjustment.be carful doing the exhaust .they have a decompression hump don’t be on that when doing the adjustment.

Just spacer the solenoid out so it doesn’t seat and block off fuel flow

@mpatrick7860 you can cut the plastic needle off when you remove it .or use copper washers .It has a nut to undo it .

Just cut it off or use copper washers to space it .the old Briggs and Honda doesn’t run one they have no issues. I cut mine it’s gone .
Couldn't understand. Packed it out?? Can you expand on that? I have no clue what packed it out means? I have the identical issue on mine.
Put some copper washers on it to bring the needle off the seat .
@@rickohlson3962 Do you know how much voltage goes to that solenoid? Thanks so much for the info!

I’m trying to figure out how did u get the solenoid off? All u did was add spacers?
It has a hexagon head on the inside to put a spanner on it .i put spacers on it after I took it off .
So did you do something to bypass the governor
I didn’t touch the governor .It was revving up and down due to lack of fuel .That solenoid restricts fuel to the carburettor.
figure it out yet ?
Yes it’s in the video solenoid
I tried that , still won’t start , I’ve put new plugs , fuel pump , fuel filter , had coils checked , still won’t start , ugh
