@@79BlackRose I was pretty low down in the food chain on the local stage crew, so didn’t have that much to do with the guys in the band. It was a big rig though! I crewed for Grand Slam years later at Worthing Assembly Halls and Lynott was crashed out on the stage afterwards as we finished taking the gear out. He looked towards me with a wasted, out of it look that I will never forget, there was real pain in his face. Next thing I knew, he was gone for good. Truly haunting.

    • @79BlackRose

@@Ukmongoose3 Oh man! I saw Grand Slam at the Eastbourne Winter Gardens. When the crowd were clamouring for something from Thin Lizzy, Phil said: "Thin Lizzy? Yeah, I went to all their concerts!" ;) Lmao. The last time I saw him was September 1985 and he was a special guest on Gary Moore's Run for Cover show at the Hammersmith Odeon. Three months later he was taken ill. When he died, I was gutted.

@@dale7226 Great point, but I contend the "defined" generation period. Think about it, boomers 1946-1963. That's 18 years. According to Google, Generation X is 1964- 1979. 16 lousy years. Of course, millennials are 1980-1999. 20 freaking years!!! I was born March 1981, and I feel like more of a Gen X member. I would think millenials would mean (turns 18 in the year 2000 or later, but also born before 2000. That would rule out 1980 and 1981 and push those back to Gen X. Then all 3 generations would be an 18 year period.

Check out Eric Clapton playing Goodnight Irene with Chas and Dave on their Christmas special. You'll think you're on something.

Great vocals by Chas. 3:14 great piano playing but his hands never move, happens a couple of times. Best though is at 4:35 one of the piano keys falls to the floor. R.I.P. Chas and Phil.

Gwladys It’s not a key it’s just the ivory on top of the key that fell off. You can see it’s missing on shots after that.
