Love the eclectic nature of this page, it's wacky but works. I always use your top down glueing method since I saw you do it a year or so ago. So much easier than taking everything off and working from the back as you can never get things in the same order again. Thanks Barbara xx
I love doing collages but mine are nowhere near as quirky as yours...... I really like what you do with them ❤ please do more to keep inspiring us to think outside the box.
This was fun to watch 🥰! Thanks for the tip of gluing top down through the collage to keep everything together on the page😁! Thank you for sharing, take care 🤗💕!
I’ve seen you do many collages but for some reasons when I’m making a collage, I always forget to glue from top down. That is one of the smartest things you do. I need to remember this. I absolutely love the packing paper you use to clean the extra paint and ink off your stencils. It’s kind of what you might think of as a throw away paper. But the Junk Journal world sees the beauty of it! Love the gold!!
Oh yes I really loved it, as you know collaging is my favourite thing and I love creating it... I need to do more fun stuff like this, it makes my heart sing xx the sign on the small page was just the right balance and loved the mushroom trees 😁😁🍄💖💖
Deine von oben nach unten Klebemethode ist wirklich sehr sehr hilfreich ❤ und deine Collagen werden irgendwie immer mutiger 😊👍🏻 und am Ende fügt sich alles harmonisch zusammen 🥰 GLG Susanne
I just get into my own head when I collage. I start comparing my work to others work. When I just let go amd have fun is when I do my best collage work.
Barbara, your idea of glueing from top to bottom is absolutely brilliant. I was doing a collage right now and I was afraid to move the pieces not the break the fragile composition. And just two glue drops locked all the layers perfectly! Thank you!
Hey Mrs.Barbara 🥰. You are such an inspiration. And I love your journal. It's becoming so chunky she will need her own shelf. 🤣🤣🤣 I absolutely enjoy watching you collage but I've only tried it once. I made a tag for my art journal. Your collage reminds me of a Salvador Dali surreal painting. A masterpiece. When I make my next collage I'll have to keep in mind to think outside the box. Use my imagination to "see" images, not as what they are, but what they can be. If that makes sense. Thank you for sharing your ideas and creativity. I'm a fan. 💯🥰
What a neat idea of the cityscape & a more rural area. I think not having interesting backgrounds & lack of elements. Is what I face with collage. Adding a great book for elements & having things fussy cut will help a lot.
Barbara this was so fun! For those of your followers that enjoy these surreal collages, you all need to go to East of Honey, on TH-cam and watch Rosy make her super surreal collages. That is something that I still need to try and be successful at. I so love them, but I find them very challenging! Thank you so much Barbara, again, 🤣❤️😘🥰😍🤩
Barbara: the only issue is the same issue you have with collaging: keeping the imagines in place. However, I’ve been using your method of gluing for years. Somewhere along the line I figured it out. It’s so much easier. I love everything about collaging. It’s fun ,easy and relaxing. Carol from California
That was fun, love the sharks on Wall Street connection! I have that collage book and you have inspired me to do a ‘Pinterest’ inspired version of 49 Dragonflies art!💕🇨🇦
This is so very helpful. I really appreciate you explaining your process in putting this together. . . And the glue tip - Oh my, that is huge for me as I can do all the rearranging and then glue. Love that. My biggest challenge is what to draw from my stash in putting together a collage. I have lots of magazine and images from books, scrapbook pieces, painted paper pieces, etc. I get overwhelmed in knowing what to pull out. Thank you so much!
Love your junk journal "bites". Especially the infusion of your sense of humor! As always, thanks for sharing. I play your videos and it's like crafting with a buddy. ❣️
Thanks so much for the inspiration and for sharing. My main struggle is deciding on what goes together. Love listening to your description of your process. Very helpful. 💛
Super Barbara, I feel I have to glue elements as I go. I would stress with moving ephemera, also I find it difficult to know when enough is enough. If that isn't enough, there are quite a few things I don't like to use......faces, people, eyes. I like to use botanicals and natural pieces. I love your work.
When you were doing your 2nd page and were looking for something to put above the mushrooms, I kept yelling bring the first gray/blue bird back that you had on the other page, but you didn't hear me I guess. I'm glad you didn't cause the hotel sign was PERFECT!! Lol. Such a fun spread. 🥰
I love your junk journal snack videos. They are very helpful to me as I still find myself not being able to cover things over when collaging. I keep repeating that it's only paper. Thank you for the inspiration.
What a fun concept! I became much more comfortable collaging after you did a few videos on it some years back. The top down gluing method is the only one I can use. Otherwise it's just a crooked mess! Now, I wonder if I have some buildings somewhere to create my own version of this...
I love your fun collage and giggled along with you. Collage art is so visually pleasing to me and after watching this video, I think I'm just taking it way too seriously and need to just have fun with it like you. Plus, having a container of pictures cut out seems like a fabulous idea. I was determined to learn to collage this year but had given up on it after attempting a few. Maybe I'll make it a goal again for next year. Thanks for the inspiration.🤗🥰
cool collage!...looking right tome may be the problem I have with collage...abstract, unrealistic surroundings, things that wouldn't happen in nature 🦋......😻
The glueing can be a challenge. Always better if I play around with the pieces and not think too much. Trust…if I like the arrangement, go with it. Love your process and tips. Many thanks.
Thank you for sharing your decision-making process, I think this will help me learn better. I also like your gluing top-down method! My hang-up is that I am chicken to overlap things instead of having them all lined up in rows.
This is the first time I have watched your channel. Amazing! I loved the collage, how you explained where things looked best in the composition and the piece that grounded the whole thing!
It is a super fun collage and also very pleasing to the eye. Once you added that second small part it sort of all clicked together, really beautiful sweetie 👍💫🥰 the tip of having a stash of fun cut outs at the ready is my take away for collages. Thank you and sending a big hug 😘
I enjoyed watching your process and hearing your explanations. The collage is great. I have that book too and it is awesome. Gluing everything down is definitely the part that I struggle with most. Often things don't end up exactly as how I'd originally placed them, but I will try your gluing methods now and see if that works better for me. I never thought to do it that way.
Such fun collages on each page...they go together so well!! I enjoy collaging & want to do even more in the new year!! Thanks for sharing your gluing process w/ us!! 🤗❤
Love what you did with the two pages 😍😍❤️❤️ I don’t really know why I struggle so much with college it could be I just don’t have a lot of things to choose from 🤷 I just keep watching and hoping one day it will all click together lol 🙈 TFS 😘😘😘😘😘
Very fun! Love the play on sharks and Wall Street. Lol. LOVE your background paper! So inspiring, makes me want to just paint crazy fun paper to use as backgrounds! 💜
I love this! I love collaging but my problem is coming up with fun ideas and making things go together. I struggle with the feeling that I am just sticking different things on paper and not knowing how to make them relate to one another.
I love collage art and i have learned a lot from you in the past years. It is very relaxing and good for my mental health. I love your collage, it looks amazing 🏢🏪🏨🏦🏥🕍🟨🔘🟡⚫️⚪️
Hello Barbara, I am still very much a newbie with collage and junk journals. The thing I feel most insecure about is layering. I can’t ever tell if I’ve got too much or too little, or if the items mesh well with each other or not. I just keep watching all the videos and keep cutting and gluing. I figure I’ll get there some day. ❤
Wow your collage is stunning Lovely Barbara 👌👍💖 I got the thought of you making a book with your collages to sell on their own. As a collection of your art.
Baby girl, this is so cool! Seeing your book reminds me that I have a similar one, and I think your idea of having a bunch of photos already cut out is brilliant. I love doing collage but struggle with a focal point. I keep trying to find something I like but wind up putting the background away "for later". If you could address that, that'd be great. Love you angel, MomK ♥️🤗🏜🤗♥️
I'm not sure how to start. I saw one lady that was very helpful and I love Joie watching Joie. You did a fantastic job on this. Thanks for sharing and helping us figure some things to do 🤗👍👍
Lol that's one hungry journal🙊. I love how your fun elements make sense within the context! The top down method has made life much easier😁👍. I'm not quite sure what makes me nervous about collaging, sometimes I'm fine. They're so fun and quirky I love them 😍😍😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
Oh my goodness this was fun ,.,. That second page set it off perfectly. I have that book and love it., I think my problem with collaging Is I need to start having a theme. When I don’t it just turns out a mess. This has helped me a bunch. Thx Barbara ❤️❤️
I struggle the most with making everything balance. I love the gluing process though. I love how this turned out, and did not care for it during the process, but love how you made everything work together and balance. I’m getting there but not quite yet.
I love this! The giggles are always my favorite part of the video. Such a zany combination that you made come together perfectly.
Love, love what you did. Looks awesome! I like how you explain the process of why things go where they go. It helps a lot. Thanks for sharing.
I love this Roly poly jounal I have watched you create this pudgy paper pleasure
it looks like random elements, and like magic you turn it into this composition. I love it!
Love the eclectic nature of this page, it's wacky but works. I always use your top down glueing method since I saw you do it a year or so ago. So much easier than taking everything off and working from the back as you can never get things in the same order again. Thanks Barbara xx
My struggle is knowing when to stop/knowing when I don’t have enough. Love this collage!
I love doing collages but mine are nowhere near as quirky as yours...... I really like what you do with them ❤ please do more to keep inspiring us to think outside the box.
12:30 Wow. That's even better than taking a pic and working from underneath upwards. Clever!! You've solved my stress with collage in this video 😁😁
I liked the first page, but when you added the second page it just all came to life!!!!!! Wow, totally unexpected!!!!!!!
I love your gluing technique!! I hope it’s as easy for me as you make it seem❤
Brilliant that the colors go together and that collagen tells a story. It just made me want to watch "Wolf at Wallstreet...." . So thanks again.
So fun and whimsical! You're so encouraging to us to do new things. TFS 🤗
Gosh, it is so helpful to hear your thought process as you work and make choices.
Thank you!
This was so, so awesome! This makes me feel like I could actually do one, too, instead of worrying about it too much. 🦋🦋🦋
Hi Barbara l hope you are good, thanks for showing us some tips and techniques for collaging. Your book is coming bigger and bigger!!! Love it

For me, getting it to look like it is cohesive and purposefully designed.
I love watching you collage!
What a neat idea of the cityscape & a more rural area. I think not having interesting backgrounds & lack of elements. Is what I face with collage. Adding a great book for elements & having things fussy cut will help a lot.
You bring new meaning to every picture has a story. Thanks for sharing this one!

I love your collage book videos. I was doing a glue book page this afternoon and was very grateful of your top down glueing method. ❤
I like the top down glue method as layering is tricky. Thank you.
So relaxing, watching you xxx

Ich liebe Collagen und ich liebe es dir dabei zuzusehen......deine klebemethode ist einfach genial 😍

I love these pages. And I like the addition of totally random things. I need to get out some paperwork and glue and play!
Beautiful page
I love how your journal rolls back and forth like a roly-poly bug.
I LOVE IT! YOU ARE BLESSED WITH SO MUCH CREATIVITY. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

cool collage!...looking right tome may be the problem I have with collage...abstract, unrealistic surroundings, things that wouldn't happen in nature 🦋......😻
Your collage is beautiful! I always forget that I don’t have to be perfect! I also compare my collages to others.
I struggle with comparison sometimes too…
I love these whimsical pages!
The glueing can be a challenge. Always better if I play around with the pieces and not think too much. Trust…if I like the arrangement, go with it. Love your process and tips. Many thanks.
I don’t have many vintage items nor do I have a lot of cut outs like that. I struggle with collage using a focal point and colored/patterned papers.
I ❤ this! Thanks for sharing.
Oh wow. I really love this. I like collaging, but never tried something like this before. You make it look so easy...
Thank you for sharing your decision-making process, I think this will help me learn better. I also like your gluing top-down method! My hang-up is that I am chicken to overlap things instead of having them all lined up in rows.

How fun. Thanks for sharing. Have a super fantastic day 💗 Sherry
Enjoyed watching. I love collating. I have nothing that holds me back. Find it very rewarding! Cheers!🌺🌺🌈🙋♀️
Love the pages and great instruction
I love your collage tips. Your's looks great!
I like it! 🤩
You are amazing fussy cutting with those large scissors. The collage is so much fun. Wonderful choices.
Barbara I love your quirky collages. I saw the motel sign in the bowl and was hoping you would include it. Yeah! You did.
I need to practice more. I like the story behind collating, I will try creating a story when I collage.
I love collage art and i have learned a lot from you in the past years. It is very relaxing and good for my mental health. I love your collage, it looks amazing 🏢🏪🏨🏦🏥🕍🟨🔘🟡⚫️⚪️
Looks good, you make collage so easy.

This method of gluing has solved the one thing I do not like about collage. 🤗
Fun pages! ❤️✌🏻👏🏻
This is super cool!
Did you know in South Africa we have a traditional pudding called a Rolly Polly. We eat it mostly in winter with a thin custard..
How fun is that! 😃❤️
Can you share the recipe?

I really enjoyed watching your creative process, it turned out beautifully! I had no idea gluing top down was an option - genius!
Wow your collage is stunning Lovely Barbara 👌👍💖

Your busy collages are alway fun 🤩
Love watching your snack videos.
I also wondered about putting the plane in your collage but over all your videos are awesome.
Lol that's one hungry journal🙊. I love how your fun elements make sense within the context! The top down method has made life much easier😁👍. I'm not quite sure what makes me nervous about collaging, sometimes I'm fine. They're so fun and quirky I love them 😍😍😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
Love this collage! Great elements brought together.
Love this one so beautiful 🍁🤩❤️😍🍂
Love your junk journalling in your chunk journal 😄
Oh my goodness this was fun ,.,. That second page set it off perfectly. I have that book and love it., I think my problem with collaging Is I need to start having a theme. When I don’t it just turns out a mess. This has helped me a bunch. Thx Barbara ❤️❤️
I love this colors looks great. I look forward to getting started on our December projects. Thank you so much for been such an inspiration.
I use the large hair clips that hairdressers use to section hair. They are very long and help to hold your pieces in place, while you are deciding 😊
I struggle the most with making everything balance. I love the gluing process though. I love how this turned out, and did not care for it during the process, but love how you made everything work together and balance. I’m getting there but not quite yet.
Wow! This is so awesome and inspiring. Thank you so much.
