I love how this turned out. It’s so fun watching how you look so closely at the original and if you don’t have the items she used, you just make do with what you have. One of the smartest things you do is when you say, Okay, this is where we stop looking at the original card and see how we feel about our card without comparing them. So smart. And it’s beautiful. And YES, I save clothing tags!! Lol
Thank you Barbara, for taking so much time to explain what you are doing, and how others may achieve something similar, even if we don't have all the 'resources' that were used originally. Learning about being 'resourceful' and creative is so important. ❤
I love these types of videos. It reminds me of the home improvement show (old show) where they used to try to replicate a room that cost thousands with items bought on a budget. Quite often the budget room was better. I always try to guess which paper you will use when you are trying to decide... I usually guess wrong, lol.
Barbara: not only do I save clothes tags, but I save the clothes fabric labels too. I’ve done this for years. I have some very old ones from the 60’s. I love working with them in all different projects. Love your inspired tag. Carol from California
I love how you can look at something and come up with your own version of it . And most of all you turn on your camera. I always look to see it you’ve posted something new each day . Thank you for inspiring me always .
I liked watching you make a card! It’s cool to make a cards junk journal inspired. I did that recently with some 80th birthday cards I made. I used printouts out the recipients from when they were young and distressed them to look like snapshots. Then the rest of the card was collaged around the photo. So pretty! Make cards more often Barbara!!
I enjoy watching how you take inspiration from another creation and make it your own! ❤️❤️❤️ And yes, I collect clothing tags and other packaging too. 😊
I love how you demonstrate being inspired by something instead of trying to copy. I do learn by imitation but only to discover my own style! And, omg, I save tags from everything 😉
Love the inspiration ❤️ my granddaughters love their junk journals. They are 9 and 4 years old. I'm amazed by their creativity looking at other people's work.
Gorgeous card Barbra. Just when I think I have seen all your stash, out comes another pouch. Yes I collect interesting garment tags too which I have used in a journal.
Yay!! 😃 I am so excited to see another "Make it your own" video! I love this series! I learn so much from you working through each challenge! Thank you so much for sharing! 🥰
💕 so beautiful sweetie. I always love to see you make a tag like this and really make it "you" and still take the inspiration from the Pinterest one. 🥰💫 Big hug
Super gorgeous! Yes, I love when you do these! I don’t even know how you figure everything out! And yes….I definitely keep clothing tags and some are cool on their own! Keep collecting! 😉
Love how you substitute what you have for Tim Holtz products, yes, I collect clothing tags, I have lots, never have used any yet. Beautiful card. Great job Barbara.💕☺️
Glad to know I'm not the only one who keeps clothes tags! I have way to many (I really enjoy clothes!) & have found multiply ways to use them! Thank as always Barbara, for taking the time and effort to share such inspiring creativity that spurs us on to take risks we otherwise wouldn't have taken
I love how it turned out and it is very inspiring to see how you get inspiration from the original card and interpret it with your own material and color palette.
Thanks for the tip on getting illustrations with no copyrights... great tip and love your Pinterest inspired projects cause that's how I work... don't have any of the supplies but go for it anyway!
I actually like that WeRMemory reinforcement punch. It might be the way I use it that helps? It does cardstock really well but struggles a bit with other stuff. If I am punching lighter weight paper, I double it up and then no issues at all. It's so nice to be able to choose whichever coordinating paper I like to reinforce my holes.
Love your Pinterest Inspired creations Barbara..💕😉 they are Beautiful. And, yes..I keep clothing tags as they make them quite Cool sometimes...I have collected ones where the tag has some gorgous embossing on it..xx💕👌😉.. thank you so much..love and Aussie hugs..xxx mwahs xx😘😘😘😘💕
This is such a beautiful card! My grandma loved birds & watching your video made me think of her, so thank you for both showing your card-making process & for sparking memories of my grandma! Blessings to you! Edit: New subscriber here, as well!
Hello sweetie, I love your pinterest inspiration videos every time 🥰 That’s what we all do and it’s great to see how you do it and compare it to your own point of view. I really love this format. And wow sweetie, I admire how productive you are, you're the best. 😍 Have a beautiful day, love 😘❤️❤️
Instead of a gold button you have this muted yellow-orange of the buttonhole stitching, that's why it didn't fit anywhere haha. Your version turned out gorgeous, love how you put your own spin on every element
Thank you so much for your inspiration. I have started following your great art. I have got inspiration from many books and you. I have made me a snack book. ( lol) you have given me the courage to be myself with my art. It gives me a special feeling in my heart and soul . And I have you to thank for that. Keep up your beautiful art.
Wow this has become a totally different brutalist fantastic bird card. Loved to watch how you used your own things to make this creation. Thank’s again for always being so inspiring. Big hugs Maia
I really don't get along with alcohol inks 🙈. Oh your vellum tag is stunning 😍 the mao background is perfect too! Yes, I collect tags 😁 I'm sure lots of us use them. Lol honestly thought you were going to paint your thread wuth Van Gogh. Both cards are gorgeous but I like yours more and it's so 'Barbara ' 👍. Also it's a great reminder that we can use whatever we have in our stash. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
