Barbara this was a wonderful video. Many of us are unlimited budgets and need to be reminded that all the things that we invent and make ourselves is a wonderful way to enhance a journal. Thank you for all your fabulous ideas
Wow seeing all these journals up close and hearing how you did certain parts was awesome. You have really captured the ideas that I think make up all the different types of things you can do in your journals. Loved it!!! I am amazed at your talent!
Wonderful video Barbara. I don't think people think of the simple items and are always looking for the next best thing to add to their pages. I have a playlist that's called 'Practice What You Preach' and it's all videos on using supplies that you have; scraps, clothing tags, tissue paper, packing paper, etc. I love all your had drawings, they are wonderful and add so much to your pages ! TFS, great tips 🥰
Hi Barbara, I gave a short class on journaling for the group of crafty ladies at the library where I work. We assembled the books last spring and I gave them ideas on what to put in the pages. I included links to a couple of your “beginner” videos to the handout I made. I wish I could have linked this video since it has so much information. Thanks for all the great ideas.
Oh my the drawing of your bear 🐻 is so adorable! He doesn't look angry to me, he looks curious. I can't believe I've missed him til now, as well as that gorgeous paper bag journal. Off to binge watch that one!
Good evening 👋😊49 dragonflies 🌹 Thank you for sharing all your journals flip though they are all so beautiful and creative congrats enjoy your weekend 👍☺️🌹💌🦄👋
I love the variation in sizes you create your journals in! And I really love how much you use your own drawings. I definitely need to start doing that! Thanks for sharing Barbara 😊
Oh I had so much fun with defemerember! ❤️🤗 I made a couple of ephemera that truly surprised me! I love all your journals and your creative talent so much!! ❤️ ❤️❤️😘😘😘
I felt like I was going down memory lane. I've watched every single one of these videos and it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling rembering these. Especially the Dephemerember lol. I looked forward to the next one each day! Such fun. Thank you for sharing your talent. Blessings 🥰
It was lovely seeing all your different journals.. I really enjoyed seeing your 5 favourite things... I do love the jj that's hand stitched through each individual page... Might have to go watch that video again soon as I want to try some different bindings 😁😁💖🌼
I love your drawings of little animals, that bear had the sweetest face! 💕 😊 There was another one too ..my head was spinning lol oh yeah your cardinal! Super! The Egyptian page is beautiful too . I find I'm starting to craft along with you, not necessarily the same thing but I look up and your doing some part and I realize I've missed it and have to go back lol. Thank you for your inspirations , your teachings and even your mistake making as it's teaching us to embrace our mistakes and using our brains to get through them! 💖🇨🇦
E-gads baby girl!! Can you teach us (or do you already have a video on) faux writing? I've been searching high and low for some sort of instructions but haven't been able to find anything. Love you angel, MomK 🤗♥️🌵♥️🤗
This was like a walk down memory lane. So many fun things to see and make. I need to take a day and just make collage fodder. That sounds fun and relaxing. No rules and you can’t mess up fodder. Lol
Like you, I was thinking paint or brushes or ink, but the scraps I use and my own hand-drawn images are everywhere in my journals. Stitching as well. Thanks, Barbara, for helping me look at it from another angle.
Thank you Barbara! This is so good! All of these are great for a non seasoned junk journaler like myself! Definitely will be referring to this video for inspiration! Love it!💞🌸
This was fun. I have to admit, some of my favorite art supplies over the years have been free or low cost. Lately, I've been keeping receipts from specific stores that print their receipts on a different kind of receipt paper than most of the ones in my area, because I think they'll be interesting collage fodder. If you like Chinese, Japanese, and Korean writing, another good source of small scraps of it is often from paper wrappers around single-use chopsticks from restaurants. I think I'll be keeping hold of those wrappers rather than throwing them away now.
I really love your little nature journal! And, thank you for showing the binding technique! I've used it to bind single pages into a little book. :) I think it's good to look around for what you have at home...but, it's very easy to be seduced by all those lovely papers, ephemera, charms and more out there... :D
Amazing ideas you are really good at drawing, i’ve been inspired to try and draw some birds myself and have spent the last hour drawing, not as good as your ones but i think i will do a page using them, tfs xx
🙊🙈yes, buying and hoarding🙈. I haven't drawn for years, I lost my confidence. Your sketches are cute and I love the hand drawn faces you do too. I looked at procreate but don't have an Ipad. I forgot about making stamps 🙈. I've made them with dies and fun foam which worked well. The raven isn't creepy, owls on the other hand....😱. Sewing circles is very difficult! Bank statements? Genius lol. I think any Asian and Arabic writing is beautiful 😍. The retro label maker is really cool! Lots of great ideas Barbara, thank you! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
Hi Barbara, you mentioned that you can't free motion with your machine. Do you happen to have the instruction book for your machine? If not, you can look it up online. Look and see if you can drop the feed dogs, yes your machine has dogs LOL!! If so, you can do free motion!! it works best with an open or closed toe foot like is used for applique or mending holes. Loved your video as always!! Vicky in HOT Florida
Hi Barbara, Love all your journals and your hand-drawn animals (angry bear & chubby bird are so cute!) and nature elements! I have started playing around with drawing because I have loved it since childhood, although I was never good at it. I like the idea of including them on journal pages just because they are mine. I must have missed your video of the beautiful peacock journal...can you or someone direct me to it?
Barbara, I want to make a large journal, about A4 size, but I don't know how to make big pages!! Could you do - or have you done - a tutorial on how to make a large journal like this one, please? 🙂
I am so enjoying the review of many of your art and journal projects So happy to see it all again. What are the dimensions of you’re / the Nadia journal. It is fascinating.
Barbara, in the first journal, what is the crinkly paper? Or the video that shows how to make it. Thank you for sharing so much…I love your videos! Actually I see now it is in several others…is it died parchment?

Very nice. Enjoyed watching your share..Thank you. 🤗🤗👍😊🎵💙
Thank you for showing your beautiful journals. You have given me some good ideas as I start my first junk journal!
Really great list and examples!
The grumpy bear is just hungry. He’ll probably get into the scrap pile outside along with the raccoon tonight!
🤣🤣🤣❤️
Barbara, it's say the bear looks more concerned, rather than angry. Hehe
I love this video. Thank you, as always, for the great inspiration.
Love your drawings and your mandalas. Absolutely spoilt for choice. Thank you.
Love this approach Barbara! Thanks for joining the collab! ✨😁
