I would love to see this every month, maybe even at times every 3 weeks! My grandmother kept a journal for 45 years. She included snips of fabric of items she had made, even if she was asked to shorten a dress or skirt. Lots of pieces from her church papers, too. I like to think she was ahead of times.

I have made quilts with fabrics of clothing, projects, and other quilts I have made. Some are repeated, but there were quite a few different pieces. And, there were enough scraps to make an even larger one for our bed. I guess that's my journal.

Being so unable to concentrate I keep organized using plastic file bins with files with my scraps by color snd images.
Again the items made go in to my photo albums w top loading pockets. Life saver!! I also have not been collecting any more sizes of scraps less than the size of a 3x5 index card

Yes! to all of your questions. We feel so guilty throwing anything out, so we end up with boxes, envelopes, trays and drawers full of scraps. Same thing with ephemera. Glue books are perfect to use these bits up. And you don’t have to measure and use your brain too much, which makes it fun and relaxing. Love everything you do. Would enjoy more crafting sessions with you. Thanks for all the tips. 💜😎🇺🇸

I was working along with you in my own book, #5. I like your technique of gluing the center of a piece and then lifting the edges to layer from below.

I have to tell you that when I was a child I would cut out images of pictures from magazines and glue them into a scrapbook. I would keep cards and mementos and glue them in also! 😆…. Not only that, at Christmas I would ask Santa for a “box of paper products !” 🎅🏻🎅🏻He/she would always bring me a box of goodies! It was heavenly!😂😂 So…. I’ve had this obsession/condition since my childhood!!

I have only just started collage I was never allowed to tear up paper etc when I was young, so have just started in my 60's never to late to learn, also when I was at school my art teacher said I was useless so I used to read at the back,of the class. I really enjoy watching you and getting advice etc. So yes to monthly collage. Thank you for sharing.x

I have lots of scraps. I sort by color and have a photo organizer to store them. I use mostly packaging, junk mail and magazines so can’t organize by artist the way you do. It was fun to hear you call your papers by their artist’s name. 😁

Every month would be fun! I love the way you make things fun and not so routine which is exactly why I started this endeavor of junk journaling and arty such things.
Practicing mindfulness and having fun rather than overthinking things you can do nothing about.
I too hate cutting into new pages. Right now I have a box full of naughty scraps that I am trying to be careful about what I put in to it, because it gets full quickly.

I have always hoarded paper and enjoyed using it in my own way, and never knew there were others like me until I discovered scrapbooking. Then art journalling, and now junk journalling came along. Thank you for letting me see that others like paper, shapes, and colors too. I have always found it hard to discard any paper (except dirty, of course!).

Yes, every month for sure! I compiled a glue book using a old magazine, last year, over the course of 2 months, worked on a page every night, such a break from the madness of 2020. I love seeing your storage tips and Yes, my items seem to fill the floor around my work table!! As a Newby, scared of starting, all my empheria collected and waiting to be used, this video is just what I need. Chosen my altered book as my plain scrapbooks have riingbound pages which I'm not keen on. Thanks for sharing. Gonna use mine to put arty stuff, pictures I like, photos, some journaling, Autumn photos. I also want to use fabric scraps and pretty ribbons I have collected. Fabric scraps from diy fairies, so many ideas and not sure where to start.

I have a very hard time finding old books at a good cost. Our charity shops don’t have them so I need to go to the internet where they can be expensive and you have to pay shipping too. Sometimes I get lucky at a yard sale and find a gardening book. It just takes longer to find them.

Fun video. I enjoy collage, got back into it a few years ago. I just started a glue book for my pretty paper off cuts. Just backgrounds, not sure what it will become. This batch is more geometric, squares and rectangles, tidy. More like Cat Hand style. But I also enjoy torn pieces. It is usually a reflection of what I have been crafting and what is in my face. Right now it's off cuts.
