Do you have any experience with P1027 code? I checked the live data and high pressure fuel values jumping from 33 to 43 or so. My car sometimes hesitates under acceleration, so I wasn’t sure if it was a fuel starvation or misfires. But since I don’t have any misfires codes but have fuel high pressure fluctuation code - does it mean it has a problem with a high pressure pump or it may be related to the low pressure pump in the tank?

I’m wondering if the plastic part is actually necessary? This look to me just like a clutch alignment part? And most of them actually break before the pump goes bad, I did two pumps without the plastic part and they work fine, the plastic part cost about $30 on amazon and I’m still pretty sure that this part is only to hold the clutch in place doing the original line assembly to hold that clutch in place before the actual pump is installed?

Thanks for the follow up video. So I was wondering if the plastic stopper that looked damaged was the culprit all along? I ordered a new plastic stopper as well but havent changed out my hpfp yet. The reason I'm suspicious is because my car runs fine once its warmed up, only has issues on the cold start. Would hate to have to spend over $1000 on a part and find out theres nothing wrong but a tiny peice of plastic was causing this issue

Seems like they should make that cam cap out of something better than plastic that wont get brittle and crack and cause thousands of dollars in damages. Like maybe make it out of aluminum, stainless or titanium or something. It shouldn't be expensive for a piece that small. It seems like that piece can go bad and have people thinking they got to go buy a new thousand dollar fuel pump.
