Perfect analysis as always. Sinful Passion is one of my absolute favorite performances of his. It is incredible, the power of his voice, in all registers. His stage presence and vocal abilities are unparalleled. It still shocks me that he went from a full-voice E5 and masterfully slid up to a Bb5! I don't know how much you know about him. Dimash has been studying music since he was 5 years old, has a master's degree in composition and is doing a doctorate in musicology. Absolute pitch, wields all vocal techniques and has absolute control over his voice and breathing. He has sung in 14 languages and is the most versatile artist I know having songs in all kinds of genres. One of the things that amazed me the most the first time I heard him is his great ability to convey emotions and feelings, it's the same as if you don't understand a single word he says, he reaches the bottom of your heart. In his videos we have seen him grow in his acting facet. In addition to all his qualities and genius, he remains a humble person, a great human being loved by many, including me. I had the opportunity to attend his concert in Almaty on September 23, it was my first time and what I wish most is that all those who love Dimash can live this experience at least once in their life. From the first moment you let yourself be carried away by his energy, it is a great journey of emotions where you cry, laugh, sing with him in Kazakh (at least you try😅beautiful language but very difficult to pronounce correctly) his "dears" we know how happy he is he feels when he hears us sing in his language and I think he also knows how happy we are when we sing with him in his mother tongue. I think he was certainly live for the verses, which I enjoyed hearing; but from the soprano passage onwards, I think he was using a pre-recorded backing track. It sounds identical to the performance in Sochi - and that was definitely lip-synched. Those runs, even for someone as precise and well-practised as Dimash, are going to vary slightly from one rendition to the next. But these were very familiar to me. We don't know why - perhaps he had a particular reason for avoiding those passages that day, perhaps they're too much in a long concert, there are all sorts of reasons artists do this. We could discuss whether or not it actually matters, and some folk will be more bothered by it than others. But I think we should acknowledge that he's human, and from time to time, he gives himself a break - even if it's just for half the song. He's an amazing singer, and I really appreciate when he is live, because there is an unmistakeable rawness to the vocal, which is just as it should be. If a singers is not being comped in a recording studio from 50 takes of song, and all the other stuff they use these days to make records which are intended to be endlessly replayed, then as a performer you have to take the risk that whatever comes out of your mouth is going to be satisfying for the audience to hear. Nothing is ever perfect, but then again, there is nothing quite like seeing something being made, uniquely, in the moment, before the audience's eyes. And great performers, whether actors, singers, dancers will make use of whatever happens during the show to propel them from one moment to the next. It's exciting, and very emotional. Which is not to say that recordings can't be those things, but they are different.

I love this song in all its variants, but I greatly appreciate the 2018 performance when Dimash performed with surviving members of A-Studio. If I’m not mistaken, this should also be the performance when we first see Igor Krutoy in the audience. It’s worth watching! This was one of the earliest exposures I had to Dimash’s singing. The somewhat Arabic sounding section was a lament Dimash inserted in honour of the original singer. I’m not a reactor (with no TH-cam presence but my comments), so I had the luxury of viewing the original after seeing Dimash’s performance. I like to do that - just to give appreciation to the original artist who gave life to Dimash’s interpretation. Good reaction!

I really wouldn’t have noticed this song done by the original group. Dimash takes it to a new place. When he sang it the first time, it seemed like it didn’t have an ending. The original band was on stage with him playing. This time, He put his own ending on it and I think it was done nicely. Dimash has so many tools to work with. What a beautiful place you have to work in. Just lovely.

There is another Sinful Passion done in 2017 New wave in Sochi where Igor gave him an standing ovation. Since then they have been working together. If I remember it correctly., their collaboration started. Anyway, it is in his TH-cam channel. Watch till the end.that was actually his first Sinful Passion performance.

Great reaction, Dimash defies a lot of things when in comes to music, I would not be surprised if he is gonna be in the music textbook in the future. I think he was certainly live for the verses, which I enjoyed hearing; but from the soprano passage onwards, I think he was using a pre-recorded backing track. It sounds identical to the performance in Sochi - and that was definitely lip-synched. Those runs, even for someone as precise and well-practised as Dimash, are going to vary slightly from one rendition to the next. But these were very familiar to me.
We don't know why - perhaps he had a particular reason for avoiding those passages that day, perhaps they're too much in a long concert, there are all sorts of reasons artists do this. We could discuss whether or not it actually matters, and some folk will be more bothered by it than others. But I think we should acknowledge that he's human, and from time to time, he gives himself a break - even if it's just for half the song.
He's an amazing singer, and I really appreciate when he is live, because there is an unmistakeable rawness to the vocal, which is just as it should be. If a singers is not being comped in a recording studio from 50 takes of song, and all the other stuff they use these days to make records which are intended to be endlessly replayed, then as a performer you have to take the risk that whatever comes out of your mouth is going to be satisfying for the audience to hear. Nothing is ever perfect, but then again, there is nothing quite like seeing something being made, uniquely, in the moment, before the audience's eyes. And great performers, whether actors, singers, dancers will make use of whatever happens during the show to propel them from one moment to the next. It's exciting, and very emotional. Which is not to say that recordings can't be those things, but they are different.

I believe this is the performance the earlier comment referenced. I love this song in all its variants, but I greatly appreciate the 2018 performance when Dimash performed with surviving members of A-Studio. If I’m not mistaken, this should also be the performance when we first see Igor Krutoy in the audience. It’s worth watching! This was one of the earliest exposures I had to Dimash’s singing. The somewhat Arabic sounding section was a lament Dimash inserted in honour of the original singer. I’m not a reactor (with no TH-cam presence but my comments), so I had the luxury of viewing the original after seeing Dimash’s performance. I like to do that - just to give appreciation to the original artist who gave life to Dimash’s interpretation. Good reaction!

I really wouldn’t have noticed this song done by the original group. Dimash takes it to a new place. When he sang it the first time, it seemed like it didn’t have an ending. The original band was on stage with him playing. This time, He put his own ending on it and I think it was done nicely. Dimash has so many tools to work with. What a beautiful place you have to work in. Just lovely.

Great reaction, Dimash defies a lot of things when in comes to music, I would not be surprised if he is gonna be in the music textbook in the future. He is not afraid to try new things combine the old and new , dynamic in the song and that what it makes it interesting, he is unpredictable, he keeps you at the edge when he performs.
