Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏

The pianist, the guitar player and the bass man are three of the four original A studio members. The singer passed away and that kind of yodelling part you mentioned was a tribal segment paying respect to him. The percussionist is now Dimash's percussionist.

Great reaction! He covered Lara Fabian's song "Adagio" in the 2017 Chinese competition The Singer when he was 22. It's one of the most emotional songs he's done and it's in English & he plays piano!

The New Wave 2021 and 2019 performances are all spectacular of which Stranger is one fabulous premiere along with Ave Maria and Fly Away. The 2021 Dimash Digital Show during quarantine has spectacular original, folk and a few cover songs, including a gorgeous version of SOS. Trio with Laura Fabian and Aida Garifulina, Ti Amo Cosi is a great cover of one of Igor Krutoy compositions. Although Dimash is producing other songs along with his own compositions, his partnership with Igor Krutoy is magic.

Once again I really love the way you two look into the background of the songs you react to. I think it gives a better understanding of them. And you are right that Dimash does covers of songs better out of respect. Unfortunately it seems that not all of the artists whose songs he has covered understand that. People have mentioned "Hello". He also did "My Heart will Go On" from the Titanic movie. Be sure to react to some of his Kazakh songs also: "Daididau", "Samultau" (Tokyo Jazz Festival), "Qairan Elim", "Qaragym Ai" (I like the Digital Concert version though many prefer his live one.). The music video for "Qairan Elim" was also co-produced by Dimash and has beautiful cinematography.🇨🇦

The Love of Tired Swans is my favorite cover song by Dimash but many Dears have many different favorites. He changes every song he covers so, you guys should just watch and you'll find your own favorite. ❤
@Seelia - "Love of Tired Swans 🦢" is my favorite, too, mostly for its sentimental value to me. It's the first time Dimash and Mr. Krutoy were on stage together. That performance catapulted Dimash into the hearts of many more loving Russian 💕DEARs. Plus, it's a beautiful song made more touching by Dimash's voice.

There is more than just one song or interpretation or cover, but if you want to go in order I sugest you react to "Love is like a dream" is different to what you've been reacting so far, it would be very interesting to see what it makes you feel. Opera 2 is a performance that took place even before Sinfull passion and is another must. Any way, in the end it's up to you, any of these songs or covers are amazing. I've been addicted to youtube reactions to Dimash for 5 years. In all that time, if anyone else did such a deep-dive into the history of this song, and played both the original and Dimash's version, I don't remember it. What tremendous respect you guys have paid to Dimash! For me, there isn't another living artist more worthy of this respect than Dimash. After watching your reactions to SOS, War and Peace, and now Sinful Passion, I wish I could give you 1,000 likes, but youtube doesn't allow it. I am absolutely loving your Dimash journey. You guys are the best! I'd never seen the original version of Sinful Passion so that was interesting in itself. Dimash covered Opera 2 (originally sung by Vitas) Lionel Richies Hello but was given cease and desist orders so that he can never sing them again. He also covered Adagio, Love is like a dream, the Show Must Go On, All By Myself and My Heart Will Go On. He has done the Michael Jackson covers which personally I think are his only failures, his voice does not suit them although MJ is one of his idols, luckily I think he's come to realise his strengths and weaknesses more and hasn't attempted them in recent years. He's definitely moved away from doing covers as he's got composers all over the world writing material for him plus the music he composes himself. He's just producing a piece now that he's spent 3 years writing and watching him try to explain to one of the musicians exactly what he wanted was amazing as he sang the flute part sounding exactly like the flute. The clip also showed exactly what a perfectionist he is as even when it sounded great to the others he knew it wasn't exactly what he wanted. Ikanaide is a masterclass in breath control and emotion and was previously performed by Koji Tamaki in the 80s. Even the composer said he had never heard the song performed more beautifully by a non Japanese artist and it was Dimash's first time singing in Japanese.
Hi Debbie, I think is not only about realize his strength and weakness. Remember that majority of those covers were done for I'm a Singer because he had to do covers. If I don't wrong the covers that he has done after the competition only have been Love is Like Dream (2019) through his collaboration with Igor Krutoy and Ikanaide to honor the composer. @@karimmendible5255 isn't Ikanaide one of the songs from "the singer" but in a different language and thus with a different title? i like those "multiple reaction" videos which compare the different versions of one song. not to find "the best" version (which is completely subjective), but to see some background and history of the songs, and how differently several artists (or even eg Dimash himself in different performances at different occasions) are presenting the same song. my suggestions (all of them available on youtube) for such triple reactions would include - "love is like a dream" by Igor Krutoy, versions by Alla Pugacheva (first original version, 25 years ago), Lara Fabian 10-15 years ago, and Dimash, all with Igor at the piano - as well as "Adagio", original being instrumental maybe 300(!) years ago, with text by Lara Fabian 10-15 years ago, and also Dimash. - and as double reaction "Ti amo cosi" by Igor Krutoy, performed 10+ years ago by Lara Fabian with two other singers, and more recently by Lara, Dimash and Aida for Igor's birthday (with the picture of that other deceased singer in the background) - as well as "SOS" by one or several of the original singers, long before Dimash started the first performance of the first episode of the singer" in 2017 with that song, and there are at least 6 different versions by him, one even as a teen maybe 5 years before "the singer"

The pianist, the guitar player and the bass man are three of the four original A studio members. The singer passed away and that kind of yodelling part you mentioned was a tribal segment paying respect to him. The percussionist is now Dimash's percussionist.
Dimash uses throat singing here, which is typical for the traditional (especially cult) music of the peoples of Siberia, Mongolia, Tibet and the Turkic peoples, including the Kazakhs.

Great reaction! He covered Lara Fabian's song "Adagio" in the 2017 Chinese competition The Singer when he was 22. It's one of the most emotional songs he's done and it's in English & he plays piano!

The New Wave 2021 and 2019 performances are all spectacular of which Stranger is one fabulous premiere along with Ave Maria and Fly Away. The 2021 Dimash Digital Show during quarantine has spectacular original, folk and a few cover songs, including a gorgeous version of SOS. Trio with Laura Fabian and Aida Garifulina, Ti Amo Cosi is a great cover of one of Igor Krutoy compositions. Although Dimash is producing other songs along with his own compositions, his partnership with Igor Krutoy is magic.

Once again I really love the way you two look into the background of the songs you react to. I think it gives a better understanding of them. And you are right that Dimash does covers of songs better out of respect. Unfortunately it seems that not all of the artists whose songs he has covered understand that. People have mentioned "Hello". He also did "My Heart will Go On" from the Titanic movie. Be sure to react to some of his Kazakh songs also: "Daididau", "Samultau" (Tokyo Jazz Festival), "Qairan Elim", "Qaragym Ai" (I like the Digital Concert version though many prefer his live one.). The music video for "Qairan Elim" was also co-produced by Dimash and has beautiful cinematography.🇨🇦

The Love of Tired Swans is my favorite cover song by Dimash but many Dears have many different favorites. He changes every song he covers so, you guys should just watch and you'll find your own favorite. ❤
@Seelia - "Love of Tired Swans 🦢" is my favorite, too, mostly for its sentimental value to me. It's the first time Dimash and Mr. Krutoy were on stage together. That performance catapulted Dimash into the hearts of many more loving Russian 💕DEARs. Plus, it's a beautiful song made more touching by Dimash's voice.

PS: I'm sorry I'm writing about another singer here. If Dimash is the sun, then Diana Ankudinova is the moon. This is a very special girl, very young, with a unique voice. I'm sure they wrote about her, because Dimash and Diana's fans are 90% the same =) Please don't listen to a sound before the reaction! Because the listener's first glance and first impression are priceless. I highly recommend a cover of the Elvis Presley song "I can't help falling in love" - this is the brightest performance, live sound in the competition, you will like it! There is more than just one song or interpretation or cover, but if you want to go in order I sugest you react to "Love is like a dream" is different to what you've been reacting so far, it would be very interesting to see what it makes you feel. Before yo react to Stranger, I sugest youj go almost in a chronological order. Hello is another must, It is a cover of Lionel Richie's song. Opera 2 is a performance that took place even before Sinfull passion and is another must. Any way, in the end it's up to you, any of these songs or covers are amazing. I've been addicted to youtube reactions to Dimash for 5 years. In all that time, if anyone else did such a deep-dive into the history of this song, and played both the original and Dimash's version, I don't remember it. What tremendous respect you guys have paid to Dimash! For me, there isn't another living artist more worthy of this respect than Dimash. After watching your reactions to SOS, War and Peace, and now Sinful Passion, I wish I could give you 1,000 likes, but youtube doesn't allow it. So I subscribed instead, and I hope many of Dimash's fans do the same, because you've earned that. Bravo, Jared & Jordan.

Sinful love soon visibly materialized in the clip with soloist Batyrkhan Shukenov. The talented vocalist left the band in 2000. I am absolutely loving your Dimash journey. You guys are the best! I'd never seen the original version of Sinful Passion so that was interesting in itself.
Dimash covered Opera 2 (originally sung by Vitas) Lionel Richies Hello but was given cease and desist orders so that he can never sing them again.
He also covered Adagio, Love is like a dream, the Show Must Go On, All By Myself and My Heart Will Go On.
He has done the Michael Jackson covers which personally I think are his only failures, his voice does not suit them although MJ is one of his idols, luckily I think he's come to realise his strengths and weaknesses more and hasn't attempted them in recent years.
He's definitely moved away from doing covers as he's got composers all over the world writing material for him plus the music he composes himself.
He's just producing a piece now that he's spent 3 years writing and watching him try to explain to one of the musicians exactly what he wanted was amazing as he sang the flute part sounding exactly like the flute. The clip also showed exactly what a perfectionist he is as even when it sounded great to the others he knew it wasn't exactly what he wanted.
Ikanaide is a masterclass in breath control and emotion and was previously performed by Koji Tamaki in the 80s. Even the composer said he had never heard the song performed more beautifully by a non Japanese artist and it was Dimash's first time singing in Japanese.

Hi Debbie, I think is not only about realize his strength and weakness. Remember that majority of those covers were done for I'm a Singer because he had to do covers. If I don't wrong the covers that he has done after the competition only have been Love is Like Dream (2019) through his collaboration with Igor Krutoy and Ikanaide to honor the composer. i like those "multiple reaction" videos which compare the different versions of one song. not to find "the best" version (which is completely subjective), but to see some background and history of the songs, and how differently several artists (or even eg Dimash himself in different performances at different occasions) are presenting the same song.
my suggestions (all of them available on youtube) for such triple reactions would include
- "love is like a dream" by Igor Krutoy, versions by Alla Pugacheva (first original version, 25 years ago), Lara Fabian 10-15 years ago, and Dimash, all with Igor at the piano
- as well as "Adagio", original being instrumental maybe 300(!) years ago, with text by Lara Fabian 10-15 years ago, and also Dimash.
- and as double reaction "Ti amo cosi" by Igor Krutoy, performed 10+ years ago by Lara Fabian with two other singers, and more recently by Lara, Dimash and Aida for Igor's birthday (with the picture of that other deceased singer in the background)
- as well as "SOS" by one or several of the original singers, long before Dimash started the first performance of the first episode of the singer" in 2017 with that song, and there are at least 6 different versions by him, one even as a teen maybe 5 years before "the singer"
