Great video and tips. Deserves a lot of views. Everything you said is spot on. A little tip from me is to eat candy, treats or sweets with a meal if you’re craving for a snack. This way you’ll have the blood sugar spike once instead of twice if you eat it an hour or two later.
Here's a good one for you... a diabetic with stones in the gall bladder. You're screwed with high fat.. and you're screwed with carbs. A no-win situation. That's my life!!
That does sound really challenging. As I mentioned in the video, I cant offer any medical advice, but you could try a diet thats rich in fibre (without completely cutting out fat or carbs). Thats because fibre fills you up but doesnt contribute much to your calories as it is difficult to digest.
Do you exercise? Coming from an athlete background his tips are spot on. Consistency wins. You should make a training plan that you can do for months or even years. And it’s better to walk half an hour a day or exercise half an hour every day rather than doing five hours in the weekend. Cycling is low impact and has made me lose a lot of weight in a short period. I also get 30 minutes of “free” walking in the week days simply by getting of the bus a couple of stops before my final bus stop. So 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon. Best thing is you don’t even notice it.
