Absolutely loved Slik! Keyboard player lived round corner from me. He went on to play with Simple Minds. Midge Ure is so underrated. Great performer. Should get more credit for all he does. Lovely guy too
I was just eight years old and loved this song, though I did not get a word! But my older sister always tried to explain, cause she already had started to learn English in school. Still great!
El escenario es .... dios!! esas escalera con esos jarrones de flores....rodeados de pedruscos... Qué bien le ha sentado a Midge Ure el paso del tiempo .
It is on my same scale of odd, unique sounding and therefore interesting rock songs like "This town ain't big enough for the two of us" by Sparks. Prog mixed with vintage rock, you have to be a genius like Midge Ure to get such an idea.
I still have this on a 45 record. Kept it from my teenage years.
within the song he goes bay city rollers to elo and back again . brilliant.
Brilliantly written and produced. One of the greatest unknown recordings of the 70s.
SLICK ~~~ Song is light years ahead in 1976 !! 🍀🌟🍀💚

Love this band from the fantastic 70'S and this is my favorite by them
Midge Ure at a very young!! Haw beautifully he sang here too!!! ❤❤
Definitely underrated!!
My favourite song from this band.
Another Slik Toppop video in super quality, with Midge Ure singing... Great!! Four years later he is singing "Vienna" with Ultravox...
Midge Ure was everywhere at once: Thin Lizzy, UIltravox and Visage.
To cheer up, for yourself, or for a friend in hurt, just listen to these first 35 seconds.
This is 2020 summer.... no words about this song...:o)

They were sporting '80's styled clothes, while this was still in 1976! No flares Just normal trousers..
Really a 50s james Dean rock and roll look
Ultravox had hymn, midge ure dear god.

Handsome geyser at 2:11.
"Don't give them a second thought...."
Sound like a New Romantic song from 1980.
chameleon MIDGE URE"ultravox)
Is that May 6th or June 5th?
June 5th I presume. In Dutch we write the day on the left, the month in the middle and the year on the right.
