Sorry but I have had lots of cats and my last cat cannot get enough cuddles I got him at 8 years old,he will not stop climbing on me and putting his paws around my neck.
My two girls were crystal clear when my cuddles were too much and sometimes it was pretty painful for me lol! Mimi hated to be held, Giki loved spending her time on my shoulder like a parrot. They enriched my life. RIP my sweetest things❤
One of my cats loves staring contests with frequent slow blinks. My newest one I've only had for a few months and still don't get slow blinks. Instead, when its time for bed he hops up on the bed and starts demanding I lay down so he can climb on my chest and get pets.
My cats sleep during the rare thunderstorm. The occasional siren doesn't bother them at all. I got them just before July 4th 2020 and when I watch fireworks across the street they both watch out the window.
Very good points. I agree with every one of them. Anyone who hasn't ever had a cat has been denied the love a cat gives to its owner. It is every bit as intense as a dog's love for it's owner. In our experience, every cat needs its own person. Not shared people who take care of it, but a person of it's own. We've had dogs and cats, but we prefer cats because we can go away for the weekend and the cat is OK. We leave out enough dry food and water and a litter box. The cat may not like it, but it's needs are covered. And when we get back home, all is forgiven. Cats are low maintenance compared to dogs. If we had dogs, we'd have to arrange for someone to take them for walks, etc. The thing about cats that many new cat/kitten owners don't understand is that a cat can be trained to be exactly the way you want. The difference between a cat and a dog is _patience._ If the new cat owner has patience, the cat will learn what it's owner expects. It might take a month, but eventually, it's almost like a light goes on in the cat's head, and from that day on it's behavior will conform to the owner's expectation. Even in a household like ours with multiple people and multiple cats, every cat knows who it belongs to. There is no doubt. And as long as every cat has it's own person, fights with the other cats are non-existent. They quickly establish a pecking order and from then on, that's the way it is - as long as every cat has a person that belongs to it. A cat in a household that has no specific person understands that it's at the bottom of the totem pole, and that can cause problems. Three adults each have a cat here, and each cat knows who's who. But a kitten showed up at our doorstep 5 years ago, and he was so cute we didn't give him up for adoption. We should have. Scooter knows his status, and he doesn't like it. He's at the bottom of the totem pole; the other cats have a person, but he doesn't. He's a great cat, and we're trying to find someone to adopt him. But he's grown now, and he's a black cat. Those things make it harder to find him a home. We'll keep trying, not because we want to give him up; we don't. But Scooter _needs_ his own person. He knows the other cats have someone, and he knows he doesn't have anyone specific. Scooter may not understand it, but he needs an exclusive person, too. So we've learned something, but at Scooter's expense: Every cat needs it's own person.
Wow, thanks for sharing your experience. Cats indeed can be as, if not more, loving than dogs. It is a shame that black cats are misunderstood. All the best in finding Scooter his own person!
There's two cats in my household, there's Minerva (Mini for short) she's my baby, and there's Gypsy, my husband's cat. They know who their humans are, Gypsy loves on my husband than he does me, and Mini loves on me more than she does my husband.
My cats, especially my beautiful boy, Luxe. When I have company they say they don’t ever see him. I never get him out to show that he is there or where he is. I know he is nearby. He is always guarding the house and investigating people in his own way. He is a self appointed caregiver or caretaker. If he does come out, it is someone that he has excepted as being a good person, usually they are cat people. I know where he is most the time. I contributed this to the fact that overtime I have become tuned to his behavior patterns.
Our cat didn't care whether she got wet out in the rain. One day the rain was really chucking it down and I went outside and picked out cat up and brought her indoors. I don't think she would have bothered coming in
My Luxe and I have had long periods of staring into each others eyes. not aggressive, but soft and adoring. It usually ends with him reaching out and touching my face with his paw and then him licking my nose. He is in tune to muscle tension around the eyes. Also when I look at his eyes I can see that they are relaxed and almost searching in nature. It’s very subtle, and I do not believe most people will notice it.
Well I'm sorry but it was very hot and I needed a/c but I closed the vents beside the litter boxes. The kids got used to the rest of the house being cool. But it isn't as hot so I don't need a/c as much. My cats are indoor so they've never been in snow. And in winter when I have the heater on they like their favorite living room vent they take turns being near and of course they have my warm lap or they lay next to each other in the cat bed. Manny2 as big as he is is half in half out but his sister fits perfectly. Great video! Makes me love my two even more.
My boy just got over a bladder problem and he needed drops. The first couple times I did the holding the neck scruff and cheek thing and then after that I told Manny2 medicine time! He ran up, I'd hold out the dropper and he'd lick it as I emptied it. The minute he saw me take out his dropper he rushes right over. I've never given any pills before with my past cats so I don't know how that goes. I guess Manny2 knew the medicine would help and he trusts me so it wasn't a fight. He got better in a week.
I was expecting my cat to be afraid of fireworks. She was 23 when I got her from the shelter. New Year’s Eve I thought she’d be a wreck. NOT!!! She didn’t bat an eye when loud fireworks started! I had to laugh!
I've seen people rubbing their pet to the excess. I think that they have a problem themselves and rubbing the fur off their animal is a way of soothing themselves. It replaces hair twirling or thumb twiddling or beard pulling. These over rubbers sooth their tics.
Thanks very much for sharing this list of cat hates. I have over 40 cats sharing my home and every one of the hates you talked about is very true and I have the scratches to prove them. Take care and stay safe from your new Aussie friends Ann and the Tullamore pride of crazy cats xoxoxoxo 🇦🇺🐈😻😽
Okay hear me out my neighbours cat comes to me every day and he/she always wants all the attention he/she comes to me since 2020 and he/she loves to be petted so idk if number 14 is true
Don't bother with the automatic litter box. We have 5 rescues and we tried the auto box to save time. I never spent so much time cleaning their box. They kicked litter and urinated in the mechanism gumming it all up. Not only ended up cleaning their messes I also had to scrape and clean the box itself every day just to keep it working. Now, I clean their box twice a day and it keeps everyone happy.
I use urinary care dry for my boy so decided his sister should have it just in case and for a while mixed dry with wet so they'd get used to it. Now they eat the dry.
My cats have never had a bath. They groom themselves. But after I take a shower or use the sink one or the other would jump in the tub or sink and lick it dry. Wet paws don't bother them. But a full bath? Never. They're indoor cats who don't need a bath.
My niece loves to pick up her cat when sleeping. I always tell her, let that chick sleep. When my mom picks her up she'll act like she's a baby but she'll put her paw out to keep my mom from kissing her. On the same note my niece's and mom's cat love to demand attention. Which is why we just got some new toys. I got my new adapter for my computer so this weekend I'll be online and playing with the cat at the same time. I don't think we'll ever get the cat bathed. We'll have to get a groomer. No problem with our food. We only get to pet when it's all good. But other times it's teeth. LOL!! Just had that conversation this morning. We shoulda got another cat while she was still young. So we can't do it now. I'm a stranger, I don't live with mom and niece. I visit every other week and then sometimes I stick around for about a month and go home, then I'm back a week later. So I play with the cat. So she's getting used to my presence. No problem with that. Our cat makes us clean that box every so many hours. She won't use it if she thinks it's too full. Even if you think it isn't. That's something I never realized that they can get sick from too much cold. So we have to watch the AC.
I have to 4 month kittens and oh ... My god ! They're so jealous of eachother ... One of them likes to sit with you and enjoys cuddling while the other one just like to make my house look like a disaster ... By I can't never spend time with just one of them .. they'll bit me and each other and hissing untill i give them boss attention ... And even when i do so they still push each other aside ... it's kinda hard to handle this behaviour
Because the first suggestion contradicts most of the others. First your cat doesn't want to be cuddled, then follows several repetitions of how important it is to cuddle your cat. Seems silly to me.
You could have mentioned in #13...albiet cats DO get lonely and require their human's love and attention daily... not just a pat here and there... but you could have mentioned that they do much better with a good buddy cat...someone they can feel is their tribe... *2 cats minimum* ... &/or their doggie good pal.. but alone is likely to make them feel very alone...and feel needy...with no one of their species to relate to. So when you're at work or away even briefly...they are not alone & lonely. Makes for a much happier existence for them to have a playmate their own size who speaks "cat talk". Or several kitties... they become a tribe that they love and protect...their personal family...with then YOU as the ALPHA CAT...DA BIG BOSS. *Remember to COMB your cats hair* (with a fine tooth comb)...to get rid of the extra hair which gets all over the place as well....This helps them in not getting big furballs to cough up. Sometimes, especially with long hair cats...they can get in DISTRESS trying to cough it out and I know I had to rush my long hair to the Vet recently..to get something to help the hairballs come out... they can collect inside them too much and then spend 3 days in constant heaving for hours and days on end to expell it. Very dangerous for them. *HOT TIP:* THERE IS AN OVER THE COUNTER GOOP THAT TASTES OK..tastes pretty good (Petsmart)..give a half teaspoon of it..on your fingertip...THAT GREASES AND EASES THEIR HAIRBALLS TO COME OUT WITHOUT DISTRESS.. TAKES A COUPLE OF DAYS FOR THE GOOP TO GO THRU THEIR SYSTEM BUT IT WORKS. SAVED MY PRECIOUS *SIR LIONEL FURRYMORE* . So...it is advised to give to them here and there. But at first ..give 3 times a day...to relieve them. Then just once a week or once a month... just be mindful of this.
My pair keep each other company and I don't go many places. My two always know my lap is open for them and they get a morning, afternoon and good night kiss. And when I wake up they're outside my bedroom door waiting. Morning kisses and we all stampede downstairs. My boy likes to play fetch with his cardboard curls. They have a toy box. Foil balls, cardboard curls and they like to rummage in it to play.
Washing the litterbox once a week is only for you, not for the cat. Your cat feels much happier and more secure if you DON'T destroy its own scent in the box every week. Scrubbing the box clean every six months is just fine. At least if you have only one or two cats. Also, replacing the litter every 2-3 weeks is hurting your cat's feeling of security, for the same reason. It's best to just scoop at least once a day and keep adding litter as needed until the six month mark (or earlier if the box starts to constantly stink earlier) and then scrub the box clean and make the full litter replacement. But once a week / once or twice a month is just overkill for a home with 1-2 cats. They don't want scentless toilet like humans, they need their own scent in there and the stronger it is the better as long as they don't have to step in or dig into their own poop. Yes, cats are clean animals but not as clean as human whilst they have different needs. So don't clean their toilet according to human standards.
You have to take into account the differences in cat personalities. Some are cuddlers, while others are lurkers -- they want to be close to you but not be petted too much. I see one problem in the video where a person is using hands as toys. This can create real problems wit cats biting as they grow. Hands are NOT toys, trust me. Use interactive toys so cat never bites or scratches your hands. It's cute when they're little, but it teaches them to play rough!
My cat is such a pig that giving him medicine is easy. I give him treat, treat, medicine, treat. And as far as he knows I just gave him treat, treat, treat, treat. I don't even have to hide the medicine in a treat. He doesn't even taste them. He just swallows.
Why do my two stare at me? It's unnerving. And when they both do it at the same time well I really get uncomfortable. Then my girl jumps on my lap for cuddle and her brother stalks off to take a nap in his cupboard.
Staring is what a predator does. Cats like to see you avert your gaze or slowly close your eyes. This is a kitty kiss, and your cat will probably slowly close his eyes back at you. Mwah!
@@MissyQ12345 correction! My Manny2 just gave kitty kisses! I tried it three times and he did it! First time in two years. My boy sure is unpredictable. My girl doesn't but she always has first dibs on my lap. She's on me now and her brother is right next to me and my girl's head is on Manny2's for their night nap. God I love these two!
My cats had first wet now dry food. The wet food was always slipped in a baggie and put in the fridge. Their dry food are in jars and if they leave some in their bowl which is rare I just re jar what they leave. My girl for some reason likes hot dog buns. Only a couple tiny pieces. They both like my baked chicken. I eat the skin and don't use condiments.
A lot of this is untrue, I had cats my whole life and I rescue wild cats. Depending on your interaction with three lines is like having a relationship with a human being. If you talk to your cat everyday and show them different types of affection they will totally adjust. The stand down was one of my favorites with my cat Milo who passed away over a year ago, he was one in a million I will miss him till the day I die.
I have 60 plus cats and many actually like some of the things listed . Two really like being beaten all over with a broom. They actually come running when I get it out. I have a 19 year old siamese that loves being swatted real hard and to be picked up by his tail and will pester me until I do it. Several like baths and the hair dryer and afew like to be cleaned with the shop vacume cleaner. I actually have afew that use the commode, but I've been unable to determine the perpetrators.
Hi Kaycee, there are definitely more than 14 things that cats hate. That being said, it would be impossible to fit them all into one video. We will be creating more videos about this topic in the future so do look out for that! 😸
False, my cats love affections. How do I know? They always purr and rub their head. I hate the stereotype that cats aren't affectionate and loves being independent. My cat always follows me and rub their head on my legs until I pick them up and scratch their chin and head.
sometime i mess with my cat during his sleep because he kept walk all over me again and again when im trying to sleep and we are still on good terms anyway lol
My two cats fight a lot now. When Manny2 was sick the Vet said I should separate him so for a week he was in a bathroom. He had his bix and I'd bring him his bowls. When he came back to everyone else my girl went from visiting the bathroom door he was in to a hissing monster. It was like she didn't know her own brother. Scared I called the Vet. Seems my girl literally forgot she had a litter mate brother. They still fight but Manny2 starts it. When Money starts screaming then I break up the confrontation. I don't think they'll ever be as close as they were until the bladder separation thing. But 99% of the time they get along. They're both declawed so no disemboweling but they have a healthy set of chompers. No one is getting hurt. But hearing my girl scream it terrifies me and she got so mad at her brother that for the first time she hissed at me. But only once.
But too much dry food is bad for the kidneys. Also, wet foods are healthier, if they are a quality brand. So, it's best to give 50% wet and 50% dry high -quality food, if you can afford too.
@@jnorth1000 My cat ate dry food for about 15 years. Then she lost most of her teeth. So I was forced to switch to wet food. She died at 19 from urinary issues. She had already lived well into her life expectancy. The cat I have now is really good. He whines in the bathroom when he's thirsty. Whines at the feeding area when he wants food. But my secret science is simply the fact that I work from home so my cats get fresh cold water several times a day.
I got a kitten but when it pisses me and becomes naughty I torture her. I pull her tail and lift her up by the tail and swing her, she screams like a human. I also slap her when she bites me but now I keep having the urge to keep torturing her
Cats are a) not all he or him b) They are predictors- - as such they do not fall into the category of social animals, however, they do have strong family ties. c) they are territorial, an unfortunate tendency, which means they are no respect or of the neighbouring gardens. Dogss a-required by law to keep within their owner’s territory. c) they are not particularly intelligent, and require a lot of patience to train - if you ever can. d) they are indeed very selfish because, being ipreditors & little else - any injury, accidental or otherwise, they (genetically speaking can’t afford to be physically disabled, or will starve. I have been attacked by by a cat - but - those which were stupid enough to do so, didn’t live to learn that Homo sapiens like myself, simply don’t permit such behaviour. The same applies to trespassing on my property. I encourage the local wild creatures to see my back garden as safe - sanctuary from the domestic cats ŵoul no doubt find plenty of smaller animals as a sanctuary. Our other family member is a very loving and protective Scottie dog aka Aberdeen Terrier- he shares our feelings regarding intrusive cats!
While this list may seem exhaustive, I can help narrow it down a bit Simply stated, in deference to people owning cats;..... They hate everything. Full stop. End of story
I call BULLSHIT on all of your comments about cats except about spoiled food. I would absolutely never give my furry babies spoiled food no matter what! I have neighbors that have cats and I also live close to a store that I can get some more food for them! My furry babies are well adjusted and I have no problem with anyone that comes into my home. Litter box, four times a day two much for one cat? Keep your opinions to yourself, thank you 🙏
1:25 getting another cat is bad advice and should be considered one of the things they hate. They're territorial and it'll be hell if they don't get along. It's ironic that you don't mention this till the very end. Also, no need to show shots of moldy food multiple times, or shots of a dirty toilet. Disgusting and lowers the watchability of your video. Thumbs down for bad content.
Hi detodosmoles, thanks for the constructive feedback. We're a new channel and are still learning how to create high-quality educational and informative cat videos. We'll be sure not to include unappealing shots in the future. With that being said, it is okay to get another cat, as long as they are introduced correctly. A lot of times, people just put them together in the same room, expecting them to get along instantly! We plan to create a video about this topic in the future. In the meantime, if you need a guide on how to introduce a new cat to your old cat, check out this article! spca.bc.ca/faqs/how-introduce-new-cat-old-cat/#:~:text=First%20%E2%80%93%20Visual%20contact%20between%20cats,a%20feather%20to%20encourage%20play.

I have a love bug, too. 🥰🐈⬛🥰
Some kitties are super affectionate. My current buddy is super cuddly but I've had some that are total jerks. Case by case right?
You are one of the luckiest people around.

My cat loves the smell goids...if her litter box gets too dirty she fo not have a problem with letting us know....she is such a diva lol

Should be 13 when I got her, not 23‼️
She might be deaf, or hard of hearing at her age! Yeah, 13 is old, 23 is ancient, but possible! I hope she lives that long!!

Haha this is a new channel. Do subscribe if you haven't!!😸
Because the first suggestion contradicts most of the others. First your cat doesn't want to be cuddled, then follows several repetitions of how important it is to cuddle your cat. Seems silly to me.
Ah strangers! My girl runs, Manny2 greets them and in the case of the plumber well he insisted on being petted and he supervised. Plumber didn't mind.
Thx for the tips xd
What indoor temperature is comfortable for cats?
My cat disagrees with Number 14. He can not get enough attention...he craves it when he is awake.
thx
My pair keep each other company and I don't go many places. My two always know my lap is open for them and they get a morning, afternoon and good night kiss. And when I wake up they're outside my bedroom door waiting. Morning kisses and we all stampede downstairs. My boy likes to play fetch with his cardboard curls. They have a toy box. Foil balls, cardboard curls and they like to rummage in it to play.
Every cat has different likes and dislikes.
9:36 will I even fit in here ?
Sorry but my last cat loved my lavender bushes he laid in them a lot
but turkish vans love water
Im already done with the video at number 1😂 my cats are needy
for the armchair kitties' owner: maybe they're waiting for you to remove the pillows!
Mwah!
@@MissyQ12345 my two don't give kitty kisses.
Numbers 14 and 13 contradict each other
Busy people should never have a cat.
A lot of this is untrue, I had cats my whole life and I rescue wild cats. Depending on your interaction with three lines is like having a relationship with a human being. If you talk to your cat everyday and show them different types of affection they will totally adjust. The stand down was one of my favorites with my cat Milo who passed away over a year ago, he was one in a million I will miss him till the day I die.
whoops! my bad - my previous comment was for the previous video
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You sound like a sick sadist to me
Youve got some freeky cats
The dumb lady spraying her cat in the shower is just cruel .
When I do my Tick Tacs my girl kisses me. They're peppermint and spearmint. Her brother isn't interested.
Only 14?
Hi Kaycee, there are definitely more than 14 things that cats hate. That being said, it would be impossible to fit them all into one video. We will be creating more videos about this topic in the future so do look out for that! 😸
Oh, and thanks for subscribing!
Had cats all my life and sadly have buried a few, after watching this video I have realised my cats must of been either deranged or retarded.🤣🤣🤣🤣
False, my cats love affections. How do I know? They always purr and rub their head. I hate the stereotype that cats aren't affectionate and loves being independent. My cat always follows me and rub their head on my legs until I pick them up and scratch their chin and head.
False false, the video 1:03 says cats need care, companionship and affection.
The want to have attention when they want.... Not forcing it
@@twistedangel8564 yes , on their terms .
I never mess with my cats when they're napping. They either sleep on or near me during the day.
sometime i mess with my cat during his sleep because he kept walk all over me again and again when im trying to sleep and we are still on good terms anyway lol

YOU DO NOT TRIM YOUR CAT'S CLAWS!!!
Yes you can , as long it's the very tip only.

Wet food is not diet its a occasional thing. If you give your cat wet food everyday your cats teeth will suffer greatly.
You have a point there
@@dustedpinstripes oh god brush a cat's teeth lol
But too much dry food is bad for the kidneys. Also, wet foods are healthier, if they are a quality brand. So, it's best to give 50% wet and 50% dry high -quality food, if you can afford too.
@@jnorth1000 I totally agree with you, I have done just that and have never had any trouble with my cats teeth and I have a lot of cats! 🇦🇺🐈😻😽
I also slap her when she bites me but now I keep having the urge to keep torturing her
Maybe you need to seek professional therapy
Take your cat to the nearest shelter...the cat needs love and affection you fool!!...you're not worthy of keeping a worm let alone a cat!!!!!
While this list may seem exhaustive, I can help narrow it down a bit
Simply stated, in deference to people owning cats;.....
They hate everything. Full stop. End of story
13, companion cat, is debatable. Second, stop with the generic he, him, his bullshit.
Video is all sorts of bad.
