Every time i see you pick up these peoples insanely expensive watches and wind them i picture the crown coming off in your hand and a very awkward "oops"
I came here because I know Eric Singer and as a smallish watch collector but had no idea that Laurent Ferrier was a watch maker. Laurent raced my Porsche 934 with its then owner, Swiss Privateer Claude Haldi, at Le Mans in 1976 . Enjoy your channel.
Earlier applications of PVD were not what they are today. (Please put it down). It scratches really easily. (Please put it down). You could probably scratch it with your fingernail. (Please put it down). (Put it down). (Please).
I loved this one... and John Mayer's, Biver's, Goldberger, Massena, and Paramico's interview. Definitely worth multiple views just for the uniqueness of pieces and stories.
Good simple mens watches are what we need to reintroduce. Good quality. The Seiko, Citizen I mean. So many mens watches today have ridiculously complicated decorative dials and faces. Why can we just have a simple good metal watch or leather strap. Plus mens watches are becoming oversized and less comfortable to wear
Great collection. However the first speedmaster needs adjustment as the chronograph minute counter ticks over late at the 7 second mark instead of the 60 second mark at 12 of the clock position. Check 3:20
Good trade, modern Subs are quite common almost generic, but that is very special and super rare, hes probably still suffering traders remorse, crying in the dark in his room while checking his lume on his everyday Sub.
wow what a fantastic collection. I really like the mix between great vintage and technical marvels! Love it!! If miss a Richard mille, just because of the technique
I could listen to his robot say PVD over and over again. Would pay a mint to hear him say “ABCPVD” like at the end of Bell Bic Devoe song but like a robot.
How much would a 6536 sub cost now? I love the watch so much I keep coming back to this video just to see it. I also want the tutor bb58 cause it reminds me of it
You only need one watch. I once loved watch so much I wore it with dead battery. Never could figure out how remove case. Know I can completely tear down watch not sure about putting it back together.
Hi all. New to high end watches. When TAG acquired Heuer in 1985, are all watches post merger label "TAG Heuer" or were some still labeled only "Heuer" before a change occured? If the change came later, does anyone know when?
+brashearbeer Usually they are labeled "TAG Heuer" except when its a tribute watch or some limited edition. Cant wait for the Autavia reedition in 2017. That one will be labeled "Heuer" ;)
I absolutely admire your collection. Just one question on your submariner Mr. Ku, why is the lume on the 6 o'clock green and fresh when the rest looks aged?
I'm not very good at identifying those kind of things, but given that back then it was hand painted, some unevenness in the pips might be normal? That 6 o'clock marker bothers me so much though! It's a shame. But otherwise a beauty.
This guy is that watch snob on askmen. How do I know? Because when people generalize about a topic, they tend to hit the same points, sort of like reading from ones mental teleprompter. Take for example his conversation on Laurent Ferrier, almost verbatim to how the snob talks about Ferrier. Same points, and same word usage. 1. Patek R&D 2. Renaissance man 3. Racing 4.Finish. Oh and coincidentally this video showcases the Galet, which is also the piece the snob seems to like.
That opening shot makes Ben look like he's waiting on his mom to pick him up
haha yeah looks like shit.
A daily exercise routine would do more for his look than any watch ever could XD.
Pile of watch straps.
Absolutely hilarious comments
🤣🤣🤣
One of the best collections featured in Hondinkee. He is humble and shows a true appreciation of watches. Respect
Inspiring to see a "Rolex guy" with such an appreciation for independent's.
Definitely the best looking Reverso out there. So simple, really tasteful size.

That is one Ku watch collection.
lol nice
holy $h1t. You're the guy that always rags on Ohio State. I can't believe you're into watches too!
Earlier applications of PVD were not what they are today. (Please put it down). It scratches really easily. (Please put it down). You could probably scratch it with your fingernail. (Please put it down). (Put it down). (Please).
I think Ben knows how to handle a watch...
"Turn the page, wash your hands. Turn the page, wash your hands."
I didn't get that impression at all from the video.
This and the John Mayer interview are my favourites, they have very different feels but it just feels authentic and knowledgable.
Amazing collection!! I love the diversity and that story about his little bro calling the guy a million times was gold!
He has a PVD Monaco... Excuse me for a minute... I crapped my pants.
Ben, show us your collection sometime.
Help, I've watched a cumulative of 3 hours of watch videos today. J.C. Biver was my favorite interview from this channel.
same!
Insane baller
Thanks!
I really enjoy his collections because he had very unique pieces. More of a modern updated look but still a vintage feel.
This guy has a Phillipe Dufour. What.the.fuck
This dude's got style
That Monaco is stunning!
I loved this one... and John Mayer's, Biver's, Goldberger, Massena, and Paramico's interview.
Definitely worth multiple views just for the uniqueness of pieces and stories.
Solomon Li you didn't enjoy Pras' 17 Royal Oaks?
I've only had one talking watch. the alarm was a rooster.
Would love another Talking Watches with him--but with more vintage Rolex.
+1 I did enjoy the vid, but didnt like some of those chunky pieces....
peleti027 +2!! Lets see the rolex collection!!!
Hey do you know why theres a red bezel marker on the rolex he is wearing? I've looked everywhere on the internet and can't find out why.
+MKIs4EVA
That simplicity is nothing but perfectness

That Laurent Ferrier is one of the most beautiful watches I've ever seen.
Laurent Ferriere & Phillip Dufour
just great!!
casually got thousands and thousands worth of watches on the table in a bar
I love people who love watches... Great people!
Typically love the videography from Hodinkee, but what the heck was that shot at 6:20? Great TW, love that he has a Centigraph.
Great collection. However the first speedmaster needs adjustment as the chronograph minute counter ticks over late at the 7 second mark instead of the 60 second mark at 12 of the clock position. Check 3:20
Ben drooling over that vintage Sub., CUT !!!!, can we get a bucket in here, hurry up Im trying to shoot a movie here !
Good trade, modern Subs are quite common almost generic, but that is very special and super rare, hes probably still suffering traders remorse, crying in the dark in his room while checking his lume on his everyday Sub.

Down to earth guy with an amazing collection. Really enjoyed this episode
A “significant private collector,” as opposed to, you know, insignificant ones.
Another great well thought out video please keep them coming
As a self-confessed horology fanatic, I thoroughly loved Benjamin Clymer's interview with watch expert and historian Eric Ku.
JeffGR4 Who the fuck speaks like that
Good Collection mix of vintage and modern elements.Respect !
I loved that bar, one of a few with Kreonenburg Blanc on tap...too bad it closed...
Drooling over that Deep Sea Alarm
I love the talking watches series, keep up the great work!
Dufour. Wow.
i wait so long for the next episode
great camera work. well done.
That camera work at 6:20. What happened there? Haha
Awesome video! I think my favorite part was 6:20 to 6:28 😉
Amazing unique collection.
I could listen to his robot say PVD over and over again. Would pay a mint to hear him say “ABCPVD” like at the end of Bell Bic Devoe song but like a robot.
Boom. Eric is a legend
Great collection
oh Rolex guy yay that never happens on this channel....but nice to see what he brought for this segment was not just 5 gmt
What was the name of the guy who started at Patek and created his own watch company? I couldn't understand
Laurent ferrier
sorry it's not your videos. it's my phone's sound issue.
Literally one of the sickest collections of all time
How much would a 6536 sub cost now? I love the watch so much I keep coming back to this video just to see it. I also want the tutor bb58 cause it reminds me of it
If you have to ask here you probably cannot get it.
The Speedmaster's dial design is not an original Omega design. Check out the Rodania Geometer from the early 50's.
My dream collection, this guy have taste
Keep up the good work!
You only need one watch. I once loved watch so much I wore it with dead battery. Never could figure out how remove case. Know I can completely tear down watch not sure about putting it back together.
That Reverso is just gorgeous.
Haven't seen the video and it's epic!!!
感觉认识Ku的话可以学习很多,哈哈

Stay away from Tag there garbage.
I absolutely admire your collection. Just one question on your submariner Mr. Ku, why is the lume on the 6 o'clock green and fresh when the rest looks aged?
that the way they design it, 6 o clock is lighter with white metal second hand. this is the original like that, most other don't have this difference.
what is happening at min 6:23?
What a cool guy I have to say!
Is that submariner's dial relumed? The lume plots look thick and uneven.
I'm not very good at identifying those kind of things, but given that back then it was hand painted, some unevenness in the pips might be normal? That 6 o'clock marker bothers me so much though! It's a shame. But otherwise a beauty.
Anyone know what kind of glasses Mr. Ku is wearing?
Not a problem.
VRF is my favorite forum.
Holy crap....Dufour!!!
This aged perfectly. All those watches have increased 3-4 times the value at the time of this.
"now this might not be the most expensive rolex, but..."
6536 😵😵
I thought the black lord wasn’t pvd because they didn’t have it at that time
Great ep! Eric sounds like the Joker before he went insane though. The Joker in college or something
hi l have a Rolex submarine gilt dial 1965 original. do you know what its worth? thanks
WOW !
That monaco though.....
What does Eric mean by time-only watches?
"Time only" as in only tells time, no complications like date or chronograph.
No date
6:19 Was it bring your kid to work day for the cameraman. I mean what in the hell.
HOLY **** A DUFOUR.
Ho Eric Koo, Do you collect Vintage rolex trench watch 14 world record Size. 45mn included crown. Big size watch and very rare.
How are people able to afford these watches?
Makes me really sad for the person he practically robbed in the Rolex trade that may have not known what they had
Sorry I meant Dufour.
Was the camera man drunk?
Fp journe ❤️
Why no subs
This show should be called "Talking watches we know you cant afford"
is this guy canadian?
But does he have a clock radio? Me neither :(
You need a royal oak Eric
After watching some other episodes, I'm wondering if this dealer/collector has a Rolex "Blueberry" in his collection?
this is the only good talking watches I've seen
the heuer is not a pvd finish, how could a legit vintage watch dealer not know that
I bet he's right
all he had to do while hes was making the drive to go see the rolex is send the guy like
$100 deposit vi pay
pal or something lol
Looks like a total nerd. Just missing a snort mid-sentence. Love it.
lol
All grail watches

Why is he winding that Ferrier? Ughh!!
1roadstr Why not...? I guess he wanted to see it running. What's the problem? He's being gently while handling the watch. Stop being paranoid...
Well, it’s a manual wind.. That’s what you do
The "relatively mint" comment at the start irked me. It's either mint or it isn't.
Aperitivi not Apperitivi...Jeez!
