I heard Raichu is in Smash 64, all you have to do is beat classic mode 32 times on very hard without grabbing more than 5 times and if you beat Master Hand with your controller upside down then you’ll fight a giant Pikachu which will evolve into Raichu! Can't believe no one has found this out yet!

I was in shock when Sonic was released in Brawl. I can't imagine Smash without Sonic since Sega & Nintendo would not collab unless Sega started going third party.
Exactly that a fact and why? Because smash Melee release in 2001 and Sega still isn't 3rd party until a year later in 2002 when drop out of the competition in console market.

Funny enough, that's the design Sonic has in the project m mod called "Smash 2". It's a Brawl mod that's basically Melee but with more characters.

Daniel Sands 7 Tails would likely be the unique character, and Due to his long history, he’d likely come first as well. Shadow plays very similarly to sonic in modern games, and given mewtwo teleport or bayo witch time could probably serve as an echo. Knuckles should have been one of those deluxe mii like sans

Imagine being a kid, hearing that Sonic and Tails can be unlocked in Melee, and then finding out later in Nintendo Power that the whole leak was a hoax.
Well being born in 2003 that never happened to me and even if I heard about Geno in Brawl wouldn't of known who he was
The geno in brawl vid it also showed him fighting mr game and watch on the pictochat stage. But after they both appeared on the stage the game crashed to make a vid effect.

I remember when leaks and rumors were actually fun because there was no direct way to prove or disprove it and they usually had some sort of credibility and even if they didnt they were fun. Now it's just like oh some person made a picture of Geno in smash. Welp it's a meme (keeps scrolling). Its so easy to make fake leaks now and everyone does it so it's not even fun anymore. It's sad honestly.

When I was little I fell for a "how to unlock waluigi" hoax which had a crazy number of steps some being easy and some being very difficult where you would have to do everything again if you messed up. I would write down all the steps messily on paper and keep trying to get them all correct (I never did)
That's how they can claim that no one can disprove them, because no one will be able to complete the task.
I remember unlocking Mew in SSBM considering a menu image looked similar to mew's shape
I remember seeing the Geno video when I was younger and it has been taken down. It was called “Xydeit - Geno in brawl” and he made another video where it was titled Geno vs Ridley but, it was just the camera circling around Geno and the stage (and I don’t remember seeing Ridley because he probably wasn’t there). So yeah, I have seen the video plenty of times and yeah it’s lost unfortunately but it remains in my memory!

Fotes & oats melee is a game that takes a lot of skill, fox is only really good if you know how to use him properly, if you don’t then he won’t seem that good, it would’ve been the same way with sonic
@@impulse5674 Sonic's speed would obviously be the same case in the PC game Super Smash Flash Melee, where his speed would be damn near almost uncontrollable. People are only as good as you want them to be when you play them. Yeah, there's the whole Tier List ordeal but still, you need to maintain a understanding and the context of using a character. What's their strong suit? What's they're biggest weakness? etc, etc. The more you can adapt certain characters playstyle and moveset, the more experienced you will be with said characters.
The fact tails isn't in smash is the reason I can't sleep

I remember the Geno video, it even had an entrance animation for Geno that recreated his awakening from the original game, the video ended with the "GO" freezing and then a text that I can't recall what it said, but it implied that the game crashed, it was one of the earliest best looking brawl hacks out there

The 6 characters at the end are the only ones that are moved down a pixel or so. This is not to give a bent shape to it, because it is only these six that are moved down, no one else. These are moved down to mark them as clones (echoes); Dr. Mario of Mario, Falco of Fox and so on. This is also shown by having Ganondort to the right of Falco, making him not grouped with his universe, while all other universes are grouped on the same line. Putting Toad at the end ruins all this, and he should be placed up with the other Mario character, where there's not enough space, unless you want to move down one of the sub-universes Yoshi or DK.

I fell for that stuff when I was 13, which was when that website got posted. Even did the Raichu unlock criteria, which was super frustrating, and started having doubts when it didn't work.
Pokémon above Lv. 100 did exist in Red/Green/Blue versions, but only due to the famous Missingno. glitch, so those don't actually count as official Pokémon levels. I can't remember if any glitched Pokémon specifically at Lv. 200 existed without using Rare Candies that were duplicated by the same glitch, though.

When I was younger and didn't understand the concept of editing or mods, I thought the Geno in Brawl mod videos were confirmations that he was playable, so I spent most of my time trying to figure out how to unlock him.

Also back in the early days of TH-cam (2008?) someone uploaded a short clip of Roy (from Melee) on the Battlefield stage in Brawl. It was only like 2 seconds short and showed a close-up of his idle animation but I remember it fondly and how much I wanted Roy in Brawl at the time.

So does anyone actually know what platform peach is standing on at 5:56?? I’ve seen early footage of Melee on Temple that had extra platforms that likely got removed but I’ve never seen anyone else mention them. The markings on them are definitely something I don’t see anywhere else in the game and in general I’ve always been intrigued as to why they were removed

When I was a kid I was so hyped when Sonic was announced for Brawl. I remember believing that rumor of Sonic being in melee and I spent so many hours just fucking around on Melee trying to unlock him. So when he was finally put in a smash game it was unheard of.
I once heard a rumor that Banjo & Kazooie were unlockable in Smash Melee, but everyone knows it's impossible to have B&K in any Super Smash Bros game ever 'cause RARE is owned by Microsoft since then. That's ridiculous, like having Cloud as a fighter in Smash Bros too. Final Fantasy VII is a Playstation exclusive game.

It's funny how almost all of those characters in that fake Brawl roster image at 6:59 that weren't in at the time actually made it in later: Bowser Jr., King K. Rool, Ridley, and Dark Samus.
Excluding Midna, Krystal, Ashley, Black Shadow, Masked Man, and that chick next to Ike literally all of them made it in.
In SSBU, I heard that you can get mario by doing classic mode 24234234342234324 times and play as pikachu when fight dark galeem and galeem, but you have to do it upside down

Old Man Glitch with a very specific name lets you get that Blastoise you want so much, although it'll end up going back down to 100 if it ever battles due to EXP things, so you'll need to turn it into a hybrid to have it above 100

Probably common knowledge at this point, but Sonic and Snake were proposed for Melee, but the game was way too far into development, so they were left for Brawl. Had they started development later, or at least being patient, they would have still been the first third-party owned characters, but would have made Sonic join the dark side even earlier (Melee got released in November 2001, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle got released in December 2001, but it wouldn't matter much since they are on the GameCube and the Dreamcast failed anyway)
