Honestly in my opinion i think his reviews are helpful and quite often hilarious. He does go on tangents often of poetic nature, but he looks at the games in a more conceptual manor that make his reviews unique. I'm probably the least practical person on the planet which probably explains why his reviews are actually my favorite.
This was a good review. How long was Jonathan part of CGR Undertow? Not to crap on Derek or anything, but it was nice when there were more opinions on here than just his.
Now that System Shock 2 for the PC has finally got a re-release on Good old games along with much needed compatibility fixes, I wonder if CGRundertow will review it?
sorry for answering after 9 months, but La Mulana plays fine on a PC without controller. A keyboard is in fact more precise than a gamepad, because you can use all of your fingers, instead of only your thumbs on a gamepad. But a lot of people still prefer a gamepad just because that's what they grew up with.
If Derek was reviewing this he would spend the first half of the video jabbering about crap that has nothing to do with anything and the second half whining about a single aspect of the game (most likely the difficulty) without actually informing us about the game at all.
