Very well said! Personally would only put LM1’s optional content at an additional ten hours, from a forty hour play through. Someone on your team made it through LM1 in only 15 hours?! That’s excellent for your first or second time! Also, LM1 only has nine guardians, unless you’re separating the final boss’s first phase? It is always really hard for me to recommend the LM series, even though it’s my favourite, because it is such a different game from almost anything else out there.
Time consuming and cryptic, requiring the appropriate moment and mindset... but man does this game look like a great adventure! Could be a good game to play with the family, working together to unravel the mysteries lying ahead haha Although if it's really good I see us in Egypt next holidays or something XD
@@SPM_STG Hmm. Honestly, that's a tough choice. I think because La-Mulana 2 is more fresh on my mind, I would recommend it. But if you haven't played the first one before, then definitely start there. I mean, it is cheaper, and if you like it, then 2 will just be inevitable. ;)
I am getting these games for sure! Loved the first one on Steam although I never beat it (phenomenal soundtrack too) and I backed the second one on Kickstarter.

Hahaha. I think he blazed through a couple of my sentences. Even when he was talking about the playtimes at the end, I think he got the times mixes up. You can definitely clear La-Mulana 2 in 15ish hours, if you are good. 50+ hours to 100%, definitely not to clear the game. ;) But I am so glad Juan, James, and Jordan read my reviews some times! Oh, boy. If you love punishment, then definitely check out these games. Might I also recommend Celeste and N++. Those two are my favorite indies by a long shot, and I love them because they are HARD in all the right ways. ;)
@@jcsjapan Oh so you'd recommend N++ for a Celeste fan? I've put 100+ hours on it so I think I kind of like it haha but N++ seems too floaty (and the art-style doesn't appeal to me either). Check out The End is Nigh, I think you'll like it

I mean, it's all a matter of perspective. Both games will give you RPG-level of play times, so you will be getting a ton of bang for your buck. But if it isn't your cup of tear, I understand. :)

I haven't played La Mulana before it definitely looks like a game(s) I would enjoy. Pre-Ordered the boxed edition here in the USA.

La Mulana on playasia is the Japanese version with no english. Only Amazon link available and from our understanding it was both games on 1 cartridge
