Love how you mentioned Yoshi's Island and now they're making Yoshi's Woolly World.
So many yarn puns lol
This is one of the best games I've ever played.
Who’s here in anticipation for 3ds remake?
I haven't played the Wii version so yes, I will most likely buy the 3DS remake.
This game is soooo cuuute
It makes me smile so much
POYO~
Outstanding visuals! Beautiful graphics! Awesome gameplay! I loved this game!
Great review! I just got this game for my daughter for Christmas, I have no doubt she will love it.
I advise you play this with you'r daughter i'm sure she'd love to play with you and it's a great bonding experience.
oh we are the best of gaming buddies, no doubt we will get down on this one as a team :D
chronictron WOW that's so cool, You don't hear that much about parents actually playing video games with their kids, it's usually to distract them. I can't wait to have the chance to play video games with my kids when i have them.
Thanks Jonathan :) She is 7 years old, and she can identify more consoles than I even knew existed at her age. We get down on my Intellivision II and Genesis like it was goin outa style, I am a blessed dad :D
chronictron You are a blessed dad and it seems she doesn't care that much about graphics and just having fun.
It's fun to play relaxing games like that sometimes. Not every game NEED to be ultra-challenging "Trolol I died 367 times, I'm playing a hardcore game LAWLZ"
Challenge isn't what makes games great
say, how did you get it full screen? I always get a yarn-styled letterbox.
This is my second favorite Kirby game currently, only behind RTDL.
Thumbs up for Dereks awesomeness.
That's not a problem, that's why they freakin' exist. The concept and reason Kirby was made, was so less skilled players could also join in on the gaming experience and beat a game.
When I hear his voice and language I understand why british actors are so popular in cartoons.
This game is just plain awesome. I don't see why other people critisise it.
I bought the Wii for Metroid trilogy, Zelda & Mario but I've been pleasantly surprised about some of the "kiddie games" like this that are really enjoyable.
@iamjtc I'm not sure if it actually got cancelled. It either turned into Epic Yarn, or got pushed to the side lines for EY to be made.
I'm getting a Wii for Christmas , I was going to get Kirby's Epic Yarn but I don't know if its good enough. Is it a good game? I saw the gameplay and I thought it was pretty cool.
I played the 3ds version only. Should I try wii s?
I did have a great time playing this game with my daughter who introduced me into the Kirby´s world for the first time... let me tell you... it changed my life.... I really enjoyed playing this game as I´m an adult and a little dumb playing V.G. however I could... so that´s one for this game
Kirby's epic yarn is probably one of my favorite kirby games. It's just so beautiful and unique from all the others! Well Pinball land, mass attack and canvas curse are also unique, but... well yeah.
If Mark reviewed it, he would definitely point out that this game should have been released on the Vectrex.
I don't care what anybody says. I LOVED this game! Everything moves as if it were real flowing yarn. The music is absolutely beautiful. I've never played 2-player for this, but its pretty funny to watch. And also the game isn't that easy to 100%, although easy to complete. But if you WERE looking for some kind of hardcore hardest-thig-you've-ever-played hard-as-granite game, YOU WOULDN'T REALLY COME TO A KIRBY GAME WOULD YOU?!!? But anyways, I'm a kirby fan, and I loved this game.
thank god i haven,t found any comments about this game being bad this game is awesome not being able to die is a very interesting concept and its good for gamers who want an easy game or is bad at games in general
@FastTquick well sometimes, unless the controls are good, the motion control is a bit gimiky. not every game needs to us the motion.
You know it's a good game if an adult can just like the ART STYLE. :D
[insert rude comment about the horrible puns here]
It's very fun and that Kirby jingle has been one of my favorite
And for some of you call of halo metal of duty types who say "Oh wii sucks cause the graphics and there aren't any good first person shooters!" well shut up!! This game PROVES that you can have fun while still being rated e like most nintendo releases
I had so much fun with this game easily in the top ten games of all time for me
masterpiece
You know when some jokes are so corny they actually make you chuckle? There's plenty here. Just without the chuckle though.
If you ask me, "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island" was actually quite difficult to me.
8 seconds in, I paused the review. I realized this is a Nintendo franchise. I'm taking a bet that Derek reviews this game.
People may not realize this, but Mark used to be more serious then now. he still had a little bit of jokes, but mainly its jsut talking about the game
He does that now....but he also talks about lord carnage or vetrex in every review xD But Mark and Derek are the best
i don't know what it is, but i love kirby, i never played a game from it or for about 5 minutes on the game boy but thats it .. i just love the character and the fact he can consume everything and blow it out again .. :p
it looks so awesome!°!
after a 10 second look at epics yarn's gameplay I said wow this reminds me of WL Shake it!
I just got this game today and loved it so much in fact it was the first game I beat in one sitting.
thumbs up for the kirby dance!!!
4:59 :) kirby is sitting down on the chair! How did you do that?
@Rider0fLightning 2010 officially I would guess. Wherever it was released first.
@CPnieuws Because Mark isn't serious. His approach is no less thorough, but he's funny. He reviews game as someone who loves games, and it shows. He's less clinical, and he reminds us of people we know. His analysis is alway centered around how fun a game is which is what is most important anyway. If you like the serious approach then it's understandable that you would like Derek more.
I have a feeling derrick has been planning all the puns since e3
I really want to play this.
My life T_T So I started playing Return to Dreamland on the hardcore setting, since I was having a blast with that, I decided to once again pop in Epic Yarn and restart that whole game, as the disc goes in, the Wii starts to make a loud buzzing noise then proceeds to spit out the game. I find out the disc reader broke and with only less than a month away from the Wii U launch, I don't want to send out my Wii since I want to transfer the files immediately.
this is my fav wii game
hes so cute and fluffy....the he turns into a tank lol
"He can pull open zippers to access areas behind the fabric"...
Well, Yoshi's island did have a checklist of things to get, but I don't think that game was overly easy.
does any 1 rember that kirby game for game cube (not air ride) that got canceled b 4 it hit the market? i really want to play that game
@Simok1234 I knew that, but it seems out of place that Nintendo would lessen their usage of the Wii remote's motion controls after proving they can be effective in games like Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. I guess it's because no one likes to play with motion controls anymore and that they are getting everything ready for the 3D revolution that is on the horizon.
@lightninstriker10 Can't change your opinion but for me, my challenge was trying to get through the levels with all of my collected beads without taking a single hit. With that self challenge in mind the game was hella challenging. The story, in it's entirety, Yin Yarn planed to take over both Patch Land and Dreamland in a plan that, by Kirby standards, WAS epic. I so felt like kicking his ass at the end. The different gameplay was fresh and enjoyable IMO...
WE DID IT WE GOT THE MAGIC YARN!
man, i wish mark reviewed this
I think they were talking about his voice?
More puns than the movie Airplane and an episode of Animaniacs.
yay
This looks like a fantastically pun game to play! I hope it is ported to the Nintendo Switch as I'd like to avoid the motion controls.
looks pretty good, I think I'll wait for LBP2
I want MARK to review this!
As cute as this game looks, I think I still prefer the old fashioned Kirby on the N64 :D
I am also looking forward the next Kirby WII game, it looked awesome and shares a lot of similarities with another franchise that HAL has spawned, Smash Bros.! Seriously just look at the core, no look at the Adventure mode from Melee and Brawl and compare it to Kirby games especially the 64 one and with the upcoming WII one. The upcoming WII one really reminds me of Brawl, especially in co-op.
I think we've reached Pun Critical Mass people.
@GCdotTK :D awesome game too, might add that haha
THE PUNS OOOOOH NO THE PUNS
DEM PUNS MAN
why do you have kirbys epic yarn? in europe its due to release in q1 2011... this makes me sad
hmm...*envisions a Disney/Nintendo crossover show then commences puking* CALL A DOCTOR!!
THIS
GAME
IS
EPIC
That ending reminds me of IloMilo.
Amazing Mirror is hard and the True Arena from Super Star Ultra are really hard
don't think Yoshi's Island was an easy game in the least
not the hardest but it had some challenge involved... way more than any Kirby game
This looks like a great game, but if there is one thing I could criticize, it's the controls. They're not broken, but you basically play this game like an NES game and with only very little motion control usage. Doesn't that invalidate the motion controls if Nintendo doesn't use them to their full extent in their games?
The weird thing here is that this game is a 2011 release in Europe so...is a 2010 game or a 2011 game?
@XeindiorulezFTW Yes because kirby was always aimed at the adult crowd.
The amount of puns shot me in the stomach
Im now dying from blood loss
Goodbye youtrairjankml,g artgdfb
jesus attack of the puns
YAY FABRIC PUNS!!
If I had a dollar for every pun in this video I would be rich
@SSBVince but that's the best part!
New super mario bros, kirby's epic yarn, Super mario Galaxy 2 Super smash bros. Graphics really aren't everything, but all these games are better then so many xbox 360 games
SO MANY PUNS
His puns are awfully punny!
I JUST BOUGHT IT !!! =D
I called it right! :-D
i want it
@shadowvowed187 Its good but you cant die. So the game is short. The challenge however is to not get hit at all in a level to collect all your beads.
yeah..but if you actually want a challenge just try and get all the gold medals in every stage and beat every mini-game...its gonna be a looong night...better get some spare controllers too :D
was this meant for 9 years old and down?
Y esta en Español n_n
@Brandonduboff "sigh" whatever floats your boat dude
You really went to town on the puns, didn't you, Derek? Also, really, Nintendo? No Vectrex release?
Isn't yoshi going is own wooly adventure
I am in 2018 now so yes yes he does
YAY! PUNS!
Well since when was kirby hard?
@pgj1997 press the down button when ur on the chair xD
Kirby's Epic Yawn
i want this game :D and use puns much -_-
No suck-in ability, no sale.
@lightninstriker10 totally agree, a lot of disappointments with games lately cause of bullshit like that
its like kirby in little big planet >_
