If I was in your shoes, I'd love to wait after the yard sale for the reveal too BUT I have to say I'm so immensely happy you posted anyways! I already knew I'd be immensely proud of all the progress you've made so far. It doesn't have to be the ultimate perfect thing before you can appreciate all the work that's been done, every step along the way is worth noticing. It doesn't bother me at all because I know when you do the sale it will just be another chance to celebrate even more! This is already so amazing & ty for sharing.
Wow! Amazing!! In California we don’t have basements. That place is huge. Knowing how much stuff can fit in a small closet just makes me realize how much work you have done in the basement. But every video that Pepper helps you declutter is another step towards that day when it’s ready for a new purpose. Way to go.💚💜💚💜
Just as important as all of the clearing out that you have done, is the fact that you have high-level organized the things that you have decided to keep. This makes it possible for you to find things in storage when you need them, and have a good idea of exactly what you are keeping. And it will make it possible to do more decluttering, but easier, because you'll be able to decide to just work on a specific type of item and know exactly what you want to keep and what you can let go. A lot of your progress is visible, but even the parts that are not visible are much better than they were before. Your prigress is inspiring!

Have you thought of asking a church to use it's space for your indoor yard sale and give like 10% of the profit to them as a donation? My church has done that in the past
🎉 I would love to see you take a corner of the basement and find some second hand glass shelf display cabinets to line the walls and fill with all your fun, bright, childhood favorites. Then put a crafting table/desk in the middle to create and enjoy yourself. Mrs.Hearts haven. There is something to be said for having one fun maximilist area in your home that just makes your heart explode with self love and happiness. You definitely deserve it! ❤❤
Hi Melanie. I've watched your channel pretty much since you started but never commented, and I wanted to say you should be proud of yourself for coming as far as you have all on your own! I hope you don't mind me saying, but I think you should consider going through all your craft supplies again. I know crafts are a huge love of yours, but from what I can see, three lifetimes wouldn't be enough to use all that stuff, let alone one. Maybe you could add more craft materials to your yard sale? Or maybe you could organise a community kids crafting event for your local area, where you could allow children to get involved in crafting, using the supplies you have? I can imagine you enjoying doing something like that as you seem like a genuinely loving and giving woman. Just some thoughts and ideas from me, no judgement. Keep up the amazing work. You may not be able to show us without the yard sale items yet but in the plus column, the rain gives you more days of decluttering to add to the eventual yard sale which would make even more of a difference. Progress, not perfection is basically my life motto at this point.

My Sister, I have followed you since 2018! You wouldn't show your face,and you were in a hot mess. You shared how you became completely debt free and began no spend challenges. You lost your babies who are in heaven with God our Father. You've helped your children find freedom in letting things go. You revealed your beautiful face that is every bit as precious as your heart. I'm sitting here with my home in piles, and I'm in that hot mess myself. But you encourage me, and as I am able with my health, I tackle it. Living alone there's no accountability and no help. I suffer from chronic pain and that makes my mind as useless as my body. But, I'm gonna get there. BTW, you just kinda snuck in there with now having everything you own on your property! That is HUGE!!! What a blessing! You are a treasure to me bc you are a lot like me. I have so many things to say! I love your basement! The space is so huge and it has so much potential to be an entertainment room more than storage. The work-out part, the playing corner, you're going to get a crafts corner, you could make a gaming section for the boys (if they're into that)! The size of the basement is like a big apartment in Europe!!! Don't underestimate all the uses it could have if you clean it out! Also, I've been following you for a long time, and in the past I remember I used to be disappointed your tossy piles were rather small. You seemed to hold onto things I'd immediately deem trash. But I do not have hoarding disorder. I've seen you go through some old bins a second and third time and you've been throwing away more and more, also realizing you have doubles or enough of the same items so you feel safer letting go of a few. I see so much progress in you. And even if that means (in my eyes) small tossy piles, you do it at your own pace and you keep revisiting bins and changing how you feel about some items. I hope you make it to the point where you have just one storage section in the basement and perhaps to where the ceiling can be made beautiful again. I believe you talked about that a year ago or something. It'd make the place look so much cleaner. Can't wait for hubby to get to his own things as well. If you read all this: Is hubby good at throwing away his things? Or does he pick and sort and give his things another place? Your life will be better for your hard work. Id love to see you attack the last area that's never been decluttered before you do a yard sale. That and possibly the drop area by the stairs. I assume you have a bronze TH-cam award. You should make signs with your channel award , channel name and picture and post flyers about your yard sale. I think it would help get more traffic. You could have the sale at a separate location so as not to reveal your home location.

And i feel so seen when you described emotional attachment to the dolls/toys in childhood that created a safe feeling of security. I still kept some of my dolls, etc in bins and I'm 52. I sold some Barbies, but i know understanding more fully why I was and am still attatched to some of those items. Thank you. ❤

Your cat clearly is really happy with the clean space you are making. I used to have a cat that noticed everything and like to supervise cleaning. She ended up liking to help by transporting socks to the laundry area. Wonderful animal!

So much progress! Well done!!! I wonder if the black tower you show at 9 minutes in could be used for storing the boys toys in that play part? It looks like it’s pretty empty so probably wouldn’t take you long to declutter now you’ve developed your decluttering muscles, and could be a great way to store the boys’ toys and categorise them. Would also mean you could sell the whiteboard and the toy kitchen at the yard sale. It’s amazing you’ve gotten rid of the storage locker. I think you’ll be really efficient at decluttering that stuff and the section you haven’t gotten to yet as you have developed so much. I’m looking forward to you getting the yard stuff out and creating a crafting corner. The diaper table would make such a lovely storage for ribbons

Doing the playroom area for your boys was very motivating for you. I know you want to craft area down there. If you think of it as giving you a space to be down there with the boys and working on crafts nearby while they are playing, maybe that'll be a bigger drive then just doing it for you. (Although, doing it for you is a great reason too)! 😉💜
