I found mine on ebay buddy but I have seen rogue motorcycles here in Aus sell them. Sure you could find it local with a search too roguemotorcycles.com.au/collections/bmw/products/bmw-airbox-cover-replacement
@@bellinmi Thanks Michael. I don't think I did a vid on that but I did do a detailed list on insta if you have a look over there. Pretty sure I have the details of the CTEK charger port too 😉
Thanks so much for the comment buddy 🙏 they are quite a nice motor to work on that's for sure. I got my airbox delete from ebay but I know Rogue motorcycles here in Aus sell them or if you google search I have even seen a metal version (mine is fibreglass) but can't remember who it was that sold them.
@@donjerwinaguilar5702 Awesome mate, glad I could help and that my content is somewhat of a help as I'm a noob just like you buddy 😉 This is only the second build I have done so learning everyday 🤘
Hi Frederik. I sand the parts down from coarse to fine sandpaper grits to get the item smooth with no scratches (300 to about 1200) then I use a bench grinder with cotton cutting wheel with brown rouge or cutting compound, then change to a polishing wheel with white rouge or compound then a final hand buff.
@@frederikvolkers8319 Thanks buddy 🙏 pretty much, it can all be done by hand but would take a lot longer. The bench grinder with buffing wheels or even a buff wheel on a drill would be so much quicker and quite cheap. I have some posts on insta re this and previous bits I've polished up too if your interested. instagram.com/p/CD3LJ10BlU2/?
I just saw this engine on an 07 Ural sidecar motorcycle and i had to look them up. They look amazing!
I hadn't seen the Ural before. They do run a similar air cooled opposed like the beamer 👌 they are a great looking motor and super easy to work on
Absolutely love this wrinkle finish! Very inspirational! Will be referring back to this for my build.
Thanks for the comment Andy. 🙏 It is a bit tedious laying it but well worth it for the end result
People need to follow this channel because it's full of great information, quality work and badass builds!

And the battery mount I made myself bending up some aluminium plate

Where did you get the airbox delete cover with integrated trickle charger?
I installed the charger port myself mate.
@@twistedfatebuilds thank you. Did you video the carbon fiber wrap on the fender? Great idea and love the videos!

Cool video. Who did your bottom end rebuild? Im looking to do similar.
Thanks Mitchell, I had BM Cycles in Ringwood throw the new crank, connecting rods and rear main seal in for me buddy
What kind of engine paint did you use? Also looking to do a self paint job.
Duplicolor wrinkle finish on most parts and high temp engine enamal on the cylinder heads buddy
Howd you get that polished look?

@@twistedfatebuilds thats insane! It looks amazing! Is it just albow grease with the sandpaper?
