@@LBBKPHILLY I'm running the OEM headers that I just stripped and cerakoted in armor black with a couple of cheap Ali express hotdogs! I repacked the hotdogs with some sound matting and its perfect and also passed our roadworthy DB test. You can see the details on my insta if your on there. Shoot me a message if you want me to dig up the link to them, from memory they set me back about $100 for the two landed in Aus
Thanks brother. It was a case of check, double check and a triple just for good measure but still nerve racking 😉 glad to hear her barking again though 🤘
Massive moment Dave, I've ordered a small 5ltr fuel cell so I can run her longer than the 15 seconds I get from the carby bowls which should give me time to do the timing and idle etc. Thanks buddy 😉
Thanks buddy, I painted them in Cerakote titanium just to break up the all black and make them stand out a bit more as I think they are a great looking carby 😉
Very nice! I am just starting on my own odyssey to build something like what you have done based on a 1981 R100RT. I would be very interested to know what you used for the handlebars and associated throttle and control hardware. I tried a set of straighter bars but they are too short to fit all the necessary bits, and I want to mock it all up before full disassembly for power coating etc.
Hi Gary, thanks for the message and congrats on the start of your build 🤘 I used clip on bars here paired with some rebel moto switches. I started with a Domino throttle but didn't like the hump size where the spindle was as it made it difficult to get to the rebel buttons. I swapped out to a messnermoto throttle which was more exy but low profile. Your best bet is to jump on Instagram to see the two builds documented pretty in depth where you can hit me up with any other questions along your journey buddy. Hey mate, these are cheap hotdogs I got from Ali express. I broke them down and re packed them with better matting and trimmed the silencer then coated them in some Cerakote C series armor black. I have a small post on it at my insta instagram.com/reel/CSQlWP4Bkrt/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Not too sure mate apart from contacting all the BMW motorcycle mechanics. Motorworks UK have a lot of 2nd hand parts and are reasonably priced but it depends on the size and weight as shipping may be a killer
I didn't buddy, these mufflers fit two different sized headers depending on which way you turn them and I made sure one was the correct size before ordering. I did cut some slots down the line so the clamp could pull it up tighter though.
Brooke's videos are priceless. Couldn't have rebuilt my 83 R100 without him. And Rubber Chicken Racing.
Agree, I spent countless hours watching Brooke's great vids 👌
@@twistedfatebuilds what exhaust are you using?

Thanks Ben, me either buddy although my neighbours may think differently 🤣
Congrats man. It's always a bit of a worry with the 1st start but it looks like you've taken all the right steps in preparation.

Any idea where I can get final drive parts for my 1979 R100 I’m in Perth

Did you need a converter to fit the shorty exhaust? I find that mine are wider diameter than the stock headers.

What length of rear shocks did you use?
430mm YSS Topline. Check them out at jaxgarage.com.au Use code TWISTED5 for 5% off if your looking for some prices
Where did you buy your bobber seat sub frame?
It's a messnermoto mate.
