This makes me want a wing even more. For now I'm loving the 5in1 AIO. Maybe a HDZero wing project over the winter. Looks amazing, glad to hear the crash was not fatal.
Noooo! Hate to see a crash on maiden... Good thing it wasn't too bad. Those viper jets are known to drop a wing like that near stall speed. I'm sure the torque didn't help either. I looks so BUTTER smooth compared to mine though!
I have a lot of practice to do with landing. Still getting used to using flaps and landing with 30-35% throttle - needs a long runway. The gimbal helps with video stability - it has some foam in between the canopy and the gimbal mount. Motionsic BAG
I'm guessing it was a tip stall. When you are near the stall speed and use the ailerons to level the wings then the aileron deflection effectively changes the airfoil shape. If you apply more throttle at the same time on a ducted fan you get the torque without the instant extra airflow over the wing a prop would generate. 0.14A max current. Now that is efficient. lol
Yeah, it would've gotten me too. My only experience is with an AtomRC Dolphin with a 2806.5 motor and 7 inch prop. I don't feel any torque roll at all on that. Is that more of an EDF thing? Just trying to learn stuff so future me doesn't need as many trips to the glue gun.
That looks pretty challenging and fun, the head tracking is awesome
Yes! A lot harder than a smaller slower plane. More fun though
Nice to see you fly something other than a Drone...
I’m getting a wing soon. Can’t wait to slap some HD0 on it.

Do it! It's great having a different thing to fly than a quad
Glad to see you trying a plane. And it's a jet! I'm curious what FC you're using?
Trying a plane? I've been flying planes for 20 years 😁 I'm using a Matek H743 running inav 7

@@RyanQuellet yeah I tend to land mine pretty hot just to make sure I don't stall but that requires even more runway
Oh man, that looks fun! Were you doing the landing “in goggles”?
Must be hard to just the speed while trying to touch down.
Yes, landing in the seat. Speed and altitude are more tricky, but lining up the runway is super easy with first person. Try it sometime!

Yes, some combination of the two
Pretty neat! What caused the sudden roll on your landing?
Edit: Saw the on-screen text after watching it again. That's quite the effect!
The torque roll really surprised me. From now on, I ease on the throttle slowly...

Excelente vídeo.🎉
Las cámaras de HDZero le sirven a shark byte? Porque hasta donde se solo hay tres cámaras compatibles.😅
