We certainly have some interesting games to look forward to this year! Feel free to let me know in a comment if I've missed a title with a possible 2024 release.
This list of upcoming games looks a lot like a full dinner table, with offerings aplenty. For me, I confess I'm rather excited to see all of these launch. I'd say it's a very good time to be an F-Zero fan, considering how most of these you mentioned take cues from the F-Zero Series. But for Antigravity racing overall, this is pretty huge in a way.
I agree! I can imagine that someone like you are excited for the coming year :) Some games are looking really good and can hopefully engage a large community.
I agree, that game has a really nice aesthetic appeal! I definitely hope these games will be successful so that it will shine some light on our beloved genre. Thank you for your comment!
Okay, we got a couple with track builders, which is a huge plus. But now we need one with a machine builder of some kind. Easily my favorite feature in any racing game, especially GX
Sorry for the late reply. That would be a really cool feature! I haven't had the pleasure of playing F-Zero GX yet but I guess Redout 2 also has quite a comprehensive machine building feature.
Such awesome releases coming up, the genre is getting very rich. Shout out to you for mentioning Super Pilot, which really blew me away (we talked about it in another video), just as much as XF Extreme Formula or Aero GPX. The other ones look cool too but I'm looking forward to more finalized versions. And Deathgrip doesn't run fine on my PC, despite the graphics having a "Potato" mode. I'll wait for the Xbox version :)
Yes, Deathgrip is setting the bar higher for your computer specs. However, the lead developer has stated that a console version is in the pipeline if the Steam version is successful.
Star Racer is cool, dev is very active in the community. I think it just got fully funded. Which is awesome news for this genre in general. Obviously gamers are craving AG titles. XF Extreme Formula is super fun and the demo is very generous, practically a full game.
I actually reached out to Brennan from Whatnot Games (Star Racer) to visit the channel for an interview so hopefully that will be arranged soon! It definitely seems like there is a market for AG racers, just like you mentioned. Hopefully all these games will put our beloved genre in the spotlight. Thank you for your comment!
Deathgrip is the one that got me hyped the most, even if my PC has the most problems running it lmao, but at least I can play it in potato quality and it's worth it because the gameplay is just so much fun
Yes, that game did not work on my work laptop :D It is really unique and stylish though so I am also looking forward for the full release. It's super cool that SW Pod Racing is the main inspiration.
@@AGRacingCentral yeah! pod racer was a very unique breed of game with the pods being way more fragile than other AG racers, so while racetracks are generally simpler, less mistakes are allowed
That would have made sense. I thought that by putting all titles clearly in the video, people could go to Steam to find the games themselves but it would of course be much more convenient for the viewers with links in the description. Thanks for the input and thanks a lot for checking out the video!
@@AGRacingCentral yw and thanks :) yeah, links are super useful. maybe you can still add them now after the fact? consider going over your more important videos and adding links.
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks a lot to you as well for watching my videos! Many of the games I mention in this video are now in early access so feel free to go to Steam and check them out :)
i will recomend also Formula Max, an Indygame from Le Capitaine (in Demo, for Free, 5 Tracks, 30 Racers) - that Game is a 100% F-Zero-X Clone, with updated Grafics, but it keeps the style (minimalistic, only a few polygons, bright colours) and therefor is playable on older Platforms and is butterysmooth. The Handling is F-Zero-X/GX, the Tracks are like a mix between X, GX and Climax - The Music is heavely inspired from Xtreme-G and xtreme-g2
I had never heard about that game but it looked super slick! And it seemed to be readily available to download as well so I'm definitely going to check it out. Thanks for the tip!
I think that's more or less exactly what they are going for. I actually did an interview with the lead developer, super interesting to hear all about the process of how the game came about!
Death Grip is my biggest and only hope for 2024. I love Star Wars pod racer especially because of its environmental tracks. Im still hoping for the day we get an AG racer that really becomes "the game of the games" when it comes to this genre. I still feel like the potential the genre has hasn't reached its peak. To me Redout 2 did its job the best, though its sadly not popular and beginner unfriendly that the player base remains small...
Death Grip does look very promising and it was a thrill to interview the lead developer of the game. I agree with you that the genre has more to offer. Currently smaller developers are carrying all the weight but if and when a new Wipeout or F-Zero comes out, things definitely has the potential to blow up.
@@AGRacingCentral one thing I would recommend btw. Look up for Airframe Ultra. This seems to be an AG Racer as well, by the creators of Rain World. Video Cult has some footage of it on their X account.
@@philipp_mn Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the tip! I checked out the trailer on Steam and the game looked really cool! We don't have nearly enough hover bike games :)

Some of those games look pretty amazing! Really liked the aesthetic of aero gpx!

For sure, me too! Both games look really promising.

1:26 game in early access since 2018 💀
