The problem lies in the testing procedures Boss. Look closely at the video, when testing the cheap coil, you did not have spark plug boot attached. When testing the new (good) coil, the boot is on. The spark plug boot contains a resistor. The spec. is assuming you have the boot installed. In addition, static resistance testing can produce inaccurate results. Dynamic is the way to go! This information is for others, I realize this was two years ago.
Great info! You don't know how many people post a comment like I am still working on the bike. With the number of bikes I restore and the space I have most of my builds are long gone. Also doing a different bike each time I can't know all the little tricks of any one bike. Each bike is a real challenge. Your insight will certainly help others! Thank you.
Here is where i got mine. It was hard to find a good 6v coil. The ones on eBay said 6v but were either 12v or bad out of the box. hondaatc70.com/products/78-85-reproduction-6v-coil

Damn they don't ship to Canada.
Try looking up ATC Heaven in Australia. He will work with you to find the right one. He knows how weird and difficult the coils can be @ 6v
