Just got the csc sys 50 after your last video! Comes in today, super excited. Looking at dust collection next, so this video is great timing!

Nice. I am enjoying mine. We will see how well the battery-powered Midi holds up.

I saw a tip from Festool Sedge regarding the remote. He recommended installing the remote on the hose a few inches away from the end of the hose. Supposedly it helps with certain tools. I can't confirm or deny his claims. I just do what Sedge says haha. I do like the extra few inches between the remote and the hose end but I haven't exactly tried it the way you installed it in the video. I should try it on mine sometime to see how it compares.

I heard that before. Sometimes, I listen to Festool Live while I am in the shop. When that is the case, I listen to what they discuss, but I don't see it.

The video was great. I didn't realize the hose was redesigned a bit. On the old Midi that was corded the end that connected to the vac was right angle. Looks like this one is maybe the same one from the bigger CT vacs? I was also surprised the remote was included. Did it come with both sizes of rubber remote strap? I heard about the 8ah battery too. I have only seen info on it for the European market. Looks like it will fit because there is a kit with the vac and two 8ah batteries. There has been no word on it for North America just yet but maybe there was a recent announcement I missed. Sometimes it takes half a year to a year before we get what Europe gets if we even get the product at all. It seems as though the battery has taken a longer time than usual to be available for sale. Announced sometime in early 2022 and didn't arrive to Europe until mid 2023. I would be very disappointed if we do not get the 8ah battery. It has the high power branding that the 4ah has. We should in theory see some noticeable power improvements on some tools by using the 8ah batteries.

      Thanks for the compliment.
I only saw one strap in the packaging. I might have to double-check to make sure I did not miss it, as I was not looking for it.
We are about a year or so behind in getting the new tools.
I don't know if Festool wants to miss out on the money made here in the US.

I have the corded MIDI version, and I was surprised the supplied hose wasn't large enough for my Kapex 120 to handle the dust collection per Festool, maybe it will work on your KSC 60.

That is interesting. I have not tried it with my 120. Regardless, I purchased the 36 mm hose to get improved dust collection on all of my tools that will accept that size hose.

I would have liked to see the run time. 15 minutes? 20? 30?
They should have made it dual power. If it was dual power it might be my gateway into Festool batteries.
The cordless would come in handy, but I'm a mobile operation that always has power on site.
I also prefer the plug-in Midi's bag install in the tub versus on the motor side.
The 48ac is a beast. My Midi always looks small next to my 36ac, and the 26 for that matter, lol.
So, is there no handle option for the 36v version? That's a bummer if so. I love the collapsible handle on the Midi. Not for the cleaning kit holders but just for ease of mobility.
Festool and their one bag lol. Every extractor should come with a 5 pack.
I've been curious lately about the Milwaukee backpack vac lately for end of day cleanup tasks. Do you already have a vid on it?

I am going to test the Midi and post the run times.
It would be nice if they made the vac hybrid.
Here is the Milwaukee back pack vacuum video. I will probably be doing a long term update soon. I would hold off on the purchase. Mine might be failing.

Thanks for sharing. Some really good content here. I am really curious if the Festool CT Cyclone Separator fits with the CTC MIDI.

How does it compare vs the dewalt tstak 60v
Is it a ton better or slightly better
And how does the power compare

I will do some comparisons and post them. I have not done it yet.
