Hi Christopher, I'm not sure man I've never had my throttle body throw a code before. I will say one time I had another truck and it reduced engine power because it was overheating and i pulled over and the water pump was leaking. Another time I was pulling a car hauler and it was to much weight for that small 4.8 v8 and I was running 87 octane so I put 93 in it and it went away because it was experiencing detonation. So those are just a couple of things you might check out. Have you had the codes cleared to see if they come back?
I been chasing a maf sensor code and having fuel issues with random misfires i swooped back to stock and so far my mpg are better and the fuel trims are looking better I’ve had jets maf sensor both messed up and now their throttle body
DC your battery, clean electrical contacts on the plug going to the throttle body and the pins on the TB, leave battery off for 10 mins and reconnect. Sometimes if you do shit without taking the battery off, the computer throws a fit
I’m going to try to port mine it’s proven horse power and it’s smooth for air flow the groves in the throttle body disturbs the air flow. The throttle body is plug and play and the gas pedal is more stiffer and it pinpoints shifting.
It is all of it works throttle body spacers upgraded throttle bodies cold air intakes of course not as much as like putting a bigger carburetor on an old school but it does make a little different RPMs go up quicker I don't know if I would say the car moves all that much faster it's the same motor but makes that sucker breathe better for sure I noticed my engine stays cooler at high RPMs with these products for sure no one ever talks about that
these things are junk bought 1 and it lasted about 4 years and then throttle position sensor failed and sensor is not interchangeable with stock throttle body not impressed at all
Well I'm still running mine and it's doing great no problems at all. Jet Performance parts don't come with a lifetime warranty and don't claim to be interchangeable with stock TPS sensors so while that must be frustrating it doesn't mean the throttle body is junk.
Hopefully, it'll works because I just spend 400$ dollars on this unit.
It works great, man. I haven't had any problems out of mine! Thanks for watching! Please like & subscribe. :)
I seen someone put a spacer on with the jet performance throttle body does that add more horsepower?
I don't think you'll see a big gain in hp from the spacer but the throttle body made a difference.
My throttle body keeps throwing a p01516 code and and it also gave me a reduced power notice how can I fix this issue
