I believe that maybe connections might have brought down expectations to then blow it out of proportions but that's a big maybe, my concern with tenkaichi would be whether or not its going to be like xenoverse 2 or kakorot with xenoverse 2 needing xbox live just for multilayer and kakorot being different in just animation style and playability compared to xenoverse 2. I have high hopes for both games but im going to have to wait for more game play or trailers or even when the game is fully released, in terms of connections even if its just storm 4 with new characters and a bunch of other things I'd still buy it as long as it actually adds new content and not just boruto content for every DLC since I personally despise boruto with a passion but of course everyone is different.

See, for both Connections and Tenkaichi. There's one element I'd love to see from each. A bigger what-if element. Like for instance with Connections, I'd love to see a small side mode where you can go through the different worlds of each notable character when everyone was trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, which can provide easy pallet swap skins for a lot of characters, or heck even a side story after unlocking every character that gives you Sasuke's side of the story. As for Tenkaichi, I remember in the old days of the third installment, where there was an entire section based on what-ifs and I feel a perfect way to implement this and implement some cool character unlocks would be a manga what-ifs section. Where you can show the differencing ways that the story was told. Like Roshi vs. Jiren or Gohan vs Kefla or heck even all the changes in the Goku Black arc, that way when the inevitable anime returns to catch up with the manga we can have DLC packs that bring in more and more content that can give the mainstream audience exposure to it and hype everyone up for when they get through the Moro, Meerus and Granola Arcs. You know Naruto Bayron Mode and Ultra Instinct are gonna be FIRE tho!
Xenoverse was solely based on What-If scenarios and they were 99% the lamest shit ever 😟the random NPCs in the hub world talked about more exciting plotlines than the actual story

something I've been thinking is, how the roster could be? because If DBBT4 try to make every character unique with their own gimmick, the¿at would make the roster waaaaay smaller that the ppl want, but, if they make the game with the same direction as DBBT3 we could reach 120 characters or so, because in the old budokai they didn't really care if characters had something unique or not, tons of animations recicles. I've been thinking about this because I've been reading lots of ppl and this some non-talked topic, because some ppl want a roster as big as ps2 budokai, but others want a more improved gameplay with things for every character. In may personal opinion I want the game to be good, not deep, so, for me the budokai3 mentality is fine, and I would enjoy it even more than every character with their own gimmick because I have fighters for that.
I’ve never played either of the previous games on both of these series. But I will probably be getting both, I have seen how much fun the naruto storm games have been, and I have seen how much casual fun the tenkaichi games have been so it will be super cool for me personally to play theses series for the first time
I've played Tenkaichi along time ago, and I think the game mechanics is pretty good. On the other hand I think storm 4 is a little more mashy compared to Tenkaichi which makes it more frustrating imo

Think about how many times storm games repurpose themselves into a compilation on every console to be accessible to audiences in the past years and compare it to the last time we even got a single tenkaichi game.
I think the reason for the difference in reception for the two was the gameplay. Storm has the same old stuff but we haven’t seen what the new Dbz game will look like.

Bandai renewed there trademark for the word “sparking” in December 2021 so it’s possible they have been working on this for a year and half so I would imagine a release date of February/January next year or at the 40th anniversary month which I think is April. If it’s not than it is likely October/ November. They almost always drop there games in January, February, October, November. Idk how much “early development” means to them.

Here's something people need to realize about the new Tenkaichi: _it probably won't be Tenkaichi 3+._ They seem to be working with new, better graphics, meaning that every single character has to be recreated _from scratch._ Do you have... _any_ idea how long it would take to recreate the entire BT3 roster, plus all the new characters from Super, in higher-fidelity graphics, all from the ground up? It would take _a genuinely stupid amount of time,_ that's how long. In my opinion, considering it to be a flat upgrade to the roster and everything is simply unrealistic, solely due to the fact that they aren't reusing the old Tenkaichi graphics engine.
1:15 Taking leaks out of the equation, I still feel like Tenkaichi 4 will get more hype compared to Storm 5 since the Tenkaichi series seemed to be over with games like Raging Blast and Xenoverse using it's groundwork. Plus other quality Dragon Ball games came out to quench our thirst so people had more ideas on what the next Dragon Ball game would be (FIghterz 2 and Xenoverse 3 were probably the biggest predictions people had.) Storm on the other hand, not only has the only big Naruto game since it's release (Shinobi Strikers) wasn't really well received, but also the game came out in 2015 with DLC coming out YEARS after we all thought development was over for the game. So a Storm 5 (or a new storm game) is way more likely. Although hype, wouldn't reach the peaks of a new Tenkaichi game imo. A new Tenkaichi seemed more unrealistic than a new Storm making it's announcement much more hype.
I think connections will be just a minor update but most likely to play the old storm games with the newer console hardware. They did similar games like storm generations and storm revolution. while the game by itself doesn't look exciting, i think its a sign that storm 5 is definitely in the works. 2025 maybe
Here's the thing if they announced a collections for BT I would be almost as hyped since it's a game worthy of a remaster. Storm 4 and 3 still look really good and you can still play them on current gen consoles
A bit late but the thing I *really* want from Storm Connections is for them to finally tell Part 1 in full instead of skipping all the way to the Chuunin Final Exam. They already have Haku and Zabuza now as well as the Sound 4. I think the Storm 1 Story should add them in as proper boss battles for both the Land of Waves arc and the Sasuke Retrieval arc, which should also include true Awakenings for both Kiba and Choji.
For me, the thing that soured me on the Naruto Storm Connections trailer was the fact that there wasn't anything reported about the Boruto side getting a deeper dive into its Story. With Part 1 of the anime ending soon and even the Dub having covered most of the main story material, I was really looking forward to a more Boruto-centered Storm game. Something along the lines of Storm 2 in terms of roster size and Story Mode gameplay. The fact that they keep having to tack on Naruto and all the characters from the previous Storm games into this one just feels like we're never gonna get that
You've got a point, and the fanservice of the Storm 4 roster does pay dividends. But in my opinion, a smaller roster could mean that each character could have a more dynamic and expressive moveset, as well as key tools that actually make selecting your team of three take more thought. Not to mention that they'll probably have more of a chance to create new Supers for the smaller cast. I enjoyed all the new Ults that we got in Storm 2 and was disappointed that those characters (barring a few exceptions) never got anything new, like Neji or Rock Lee in the later Storm games

The reason why they reference the original tenkaichi 3 and not anything past that is because they want to tell the audience (this new game, is gonna play like this). Its gonna be a new game that essentially take BT 3 and makes a proper sequel or reboot of the series. It will most likely not be called BT 4 because I think they want to get away from number systems entirely when naming games and its most likely gonna be called Dragon Ball Z Super Budakai Tenkaichi or some variant of that with the word Super being the deliniator from the older games. It will most likely release with super as its main roster and anything outside of main characters will be left to DLC. This will most likely be the largest roster yet, we know this because they reference BT 3 which had the previous largest roster, which they illude to in the trailer. Why would they show you characters that will not be in the game in the trailer, sure its old footage, but they could have just as easily shown only characters confirmed in the game. So based on the trailer and the characters we see, we know its most likely going to include the entirety of the original roster including dragon ball, all Z arcs, GT and Super. Sure it might not get EVERY character, but I believe that the release will have a very good number and will release more as time goes on or open up to modding. Who knows they might even bring failed fusions.
i just know budokai and connections will do well. this should not be a competition or war. if you like both games or like this than the other, is completely fine. i played budokai and storm during childhood and both series' were very good. overall, this is big for both series' that are reviving and that's what it matters.
It's a great time for me to be not only a Dragon Ball and Naruto fan but a fan of the Granblue Fantasy series as we're getting Budokai Tenkaichi 4, Storm Connections, Granblue Fantasy Relink and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, although I wonder what happened to My Hero Ultra Rumble as the news and information about that game has gone silent and quiet?
Funnily enough, both games are a foil of each other as of now: Connections: Trailer that showed little of new, but received more infos from official sources, and while the initial bad press could have been avoided, should the game fail it wouldn't be the end of all, and people would still like a Storm 5 / actual fully new sequel game. Tenkaichi: Literally showed nothing new besides a few second long clip that still didn't told much, and not even any real info from official sources, and at the same time, they have a bigger risk here due to higher expectations.
My biggest issue, is that characters are nor getting updated. Example: Tsunade will still have no 100 seal transformation, Konan still wont have the sea of paperbombs, Yamato with his lame ultimate jutsu, etc..... And still that simplistic 3 combos system, same stages, same gameplay, etc. It was time to evolve, and we are getting the same thing with some added content.
Ashura actually kinda looks like just a Re-Skin of Sage Of Six Paths teen Naruto especially with the Orbs and the Rasengan and I could see the ult being the same since Naruto based his 3 headed Kurama Avatar off of Ashura
I'm hyped for both. More hype for Tenkaichi 4, although I'm more of a Naruto fan cause simply put their trailer was better easily. You have to look up Connections information to realize it's not a remake but with Tenkaichi it almost has to be completely new even if it ended up being a remake its going to feel new considering the eras BT3 and this one were made it. Connections is confirmed to have a new story and dozens new characters, Tenkaichi only showed pallet swapped goku and some people act like Tenkaichi just promised them the world.

The on thing they need to do in Storm Connections is add the Zabuza arc. Yes, it wasn't in Storm 1. It was added on Generations and that story mode is trash.
I need Tenkaichi 4 to be similar to Tenkaichi 3. Please giant playable characters. Thats a rarity in DBZ Games. Along with Beam-Clashing and area destruction! Tenkaichi is the ultimate DB Sim, and bandai execs definitely need to give it time to cook. Otherwise, just re-realize DBT3

Look the storm Connections got me playing all the 4 storm games again, i finished storm one at 100% last night. I love the storm games. even if the Online makes me want to off myself in a video game, they are a MASSIVE part of my childhood same as Tenkaichi. Im looking forward to both.

i am just tired of storm, the gameplay of storm is so used in games, like jump force, saint seiya, kimetsu no yaiba, it's tiring playing the same type of gameplay but just with new characters, or little differences.
We had so many bundles and collections and that is the thing, I won't pay once again 60+ bucks to play the "almost" same game. I want new mechanic, new gameplay regardless of the story, because this can be the same. Just imagine a storm game that is not only retelling the whole story at once, but also in a new made environment. Open world would be very nice but open areas will also do very well I think

Here's something people need to realize about the new Tenkaichi: _it probably won't be Tenkaichi 3+._ They seem to be working with new, better graphics, meaning that every single character has to be recreated _from scratch._ Do you have... _any_ idea how long it would take to recreate the entire BT3 roster, plus all the new characters from Super, in higher-fidelity graphics, all from the ground up? It would take _a genuinely stupid amount of time,_ that's how long. In my opinion, considering it to be a flat upgrade to the roster and everything is simply unrealistic, solely due to the fact that they aren't reusing the old Tenkaichi graphics engine.

1:15 Taking leaks out of the equation, I still feel like Tenkaichi 4 will get more hype compared to Storm 5 since the Tenkaichi series seemed to be over with games like Raging Blast and Xenoverse using it's groundwork. Plus other quality Dragon Ball games came out to quench our thirst so people had more ideas on what the next Dragon Ball game would be (FIghterz 2 and Xenoverse 3 were probably the biggest predictions people had.)
Storm on the other hand, not only has the only big Naruto game since it's release (Shinobi Strikers) wasn't really well received, but also the game came out in 2015 with DLC coming out YEARS after we all thought development was over for the game. So a Storm 5 (or a new storm game) is way more likely. Although hype, wouldn't reach the peaks of a new Tenkaichi game imo.
A new Tenkaichi seemed more unrealistic than a new Storm making it's announcement much more hype.
I think connections will be just a minor update but most likely to play the old storm games with the newer console hardware. They did similar games like storm generations and storm revolution. while the game by itself doesn't look exciting, i think its a sign that storm 5 is definitely in the works. 2025 maybe
Here's the thing if they announced a collections for BT I would be almost as hyped since it's a game worthy of a remaster. Storm 4 and 3 still look really good and you can still play them on current gen consoles
I think the Naruto equivalent to budokai Tenkaichi 4 would’ve been Clash of Nina Revolution 4. An old franchise everyone loved coming back.
A bit late but the thing I *really* want from Storm Connections is for them to finally tell Part 1 in full instead of skipping all the way to the Chuunin Final Exam.
They already have Haku and Zabuza now as well as the Sound 4. I think the Storm 1 Story should add them in as proper boss battles for both the Land of Waves arc and the Sasuke Retrieval arc, which should also include true Awakenings for both Kiba and Choji.
Raging blast was literally these games reincarnated. Idk why ppl always forget about those games. They were great!

For me, the thing that soured me on the Naruto Storm Connections trailer was the fact that there wasn't anything reported about the Boruto side getting a deeper dive into its Story. With Part 1 of the anime ending soon and even the Dub having covered most of the main story material, I was really looking forward to a more Boruto-centered Storm game. Something along the lines of Storm 2 in terms of roster size and Story Mode gameplay.
The fact that they keep having to tack on Naruto and all the characters from the previous Storm games into this one just feels like we're never gonna get that
You've got a point, and the fanservice of the Storm 4 roster does pay dividends. But in my opinion, a smaller roster could mean that each character could have a more dynamic and expressive moveset, as well as key tools that actually make selecting your team of three take more thought.
Not to mention that they'll probably have more of a chance to create new Supers for the smaller cast. I enjoyed all the new Ults that we got in Storm 2 and was disappointed that those characters (barring a few exceptions) never got anything new, like Neji or Rock Lee in the later Storm games

If they both drop on the same day, Ill be getting Storm Connections. Dont get me wrong I wanna play them both, but Im a storm fan more than anything else.
The reason why they reference the original tenkaichi 3 and not anything past that is because they want to tell the audience (this new game, is gonna play like this). Its gonna be a new game that essentially take BT 3 and makes a proper sequel or reboot of the series. It will most likely not be called BT 4 because I think they want to get away from number systems entirely when naming games and its most likely gonna be called Dragon Ball Z Super Budakai Tenkaichi or some variant of that with the word Super being the deliniator from the older games. It will most likely release with super as its main roster and anything outside of main characters will be left to DLC. This will most likely be the largest roster yet, we know this because they reference BT 3 which had the previous largest roster, which they illude to in the trailer. Why would they show you characters that will not be in the game in the trailer, sure its old footage, but they could have just as easily shown only characters confirmed in the game. So based on the trailer and the characters we see, we know its most likely going to include the entirety of the original roster including dragon ball, all Z arcs, GT and Super. Sure it might not get EVERY character, but I believe that the release will have a very good number and will release more as time goes on or open up to modding. Who knows they might even bring failed fusions.
i just know budokai and connections will do well. this should not be a competition or war. if you like both games or like this than the other, is completely fine. i played budokai and storm during childhood and both series' were very good. overall, this is big for both series' that are reviving and that's what it matters.
It's a great time for me to be not only a Dragon Ball and Naruto fan but a fan of the Granblue Fantasy series as we're getting Budokai Tenkaichi 4, Storm Connections, Granblue Fantasy Relink and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, although I wonder what happened to My Hero Ultra Rumble as the news and information about that game has gone silent and quiet?
Funnily enough, both games are a foil of each other as of now:
Connections: Trailer that showed little of new, but received more infos from official sources, and while the initial bad press could have been avoided, should the game fail it wouldn't be the end of all, and people would still like a Storm 5 / actual fully new sequel game.
Tenkaichi: Literally showed nothing new besides a few second long clip that still didn't told much, and not even any real info from official sources, and at the same time, they have a bigger risk here due to higher expectations.
Meanwhile Jojo just gets a remaster despite the huge surge in popularity.
My biggest issue, is that characters are nor getting updated. Example: Tsunade will still have no 100 seal transformation, Konan still wont have the sea of paperbombs, Yamato with his lame ultimate jutsu, etc.....
And still that simplistic 3 combos system, same stages, same gameplay, etc. It was time to evolve, and we are getting the same thing with some added content.

Ashura actually kinda looks like just a Re-Skin of Sage Of Six Paths teen Naruto especially with the Orbs and the Rasengan and I could see the ult being the same since Naruto based his 3 headed Kurama Avatar off of Ashura

I'm hyped for both. More hype for Tenkaichi 4, although I'm more of a Naruto fan cause simply put their trailer was better easily. You have to look up Connections information to realize it's not a remake but with Tenkaichi it almost has to be completely new even if it ended up being a remake its going to feel new considering the eras BT3 and this one were made it. That being said I hope it's entirely new lol. Also anime/manga momoshiki for Connections that boy is lit.

Shout out to Globku for being the only one actually thinking rationally about this. I am hyped for both, but people are acting so weird about this. Connections is confirmed to have a new story and dozens new characters, Tenkaichi only showed pallet swapped goku and some people act like Tenkaichi just promised them the world.
I think that they will put the story of ishiki and baryon mode on naruto storm connection cause they put sarada with shidore she did it the first time on that arc it will probably be like that

I need Tenkaichi 4 to be similar to Tenkaichi 3. Please giant playable characters. Thats a rarity in DBZ Games. Along with Beam-Clashing and area destruction! Tenkaichi is the ultimate DB Sim, and bandai execs definitely need to give it time to cook. Otherwise, just re-realize DBT3
I mean to be fair it’s not like Storm Connections is a WHOLE new game like Budakai is. It’s just Storm 4 with reworked stories, a added story, and two new characters so it make sense that they didn’t go all out for the trailers. PLUS they probably spent most of their time working on the Dragon Ball trailer since that is a whole new game and a famous one y’all been waiting so desperately for. So I understand the difference between the trailers.

I think the game gonna release more or less, April or March 2024, because if you see the pattern, some youtubers done the maths and all the good dragonball games release dates is about one year, one year in a haf after the announcement .

I love the storm games. even if the Online makes me want to off myself in a video game, they are a MASSIVE part of my childhood same as Tenkaichi.

i am just tired of storm, the gameplay of storm is so used in games, like jump force, saint seiya, kimetsu no yaiba, it's tiring playing the same type of gameplay but just with new characters, or little differences.

We had so many bundles and collections and that is the thing, I won't pay once again 60+ bucks to play the "almost" same game. I want new mechanic, new gameplay regardless of the story, because this can be the same.
Just imagine a storm game that is not only retelling the whole story at once, but also in a new made environment. Open world would be very nice but open areas will also do very well I think
